Great review! This is probably the game that has had the most updates since I played it back on release. The developers were, and still are, hard at work to provide added content, which is always a plus!
I'd rather have them say the engine is incompatible with the Switch than have them decide (under pressure to make more $ or whatever) to attempt the port anyways and release a horrendous mess of a game that runs/looks like poop. Either that or wait for the Switch 2.
I played this when the demo came out like a year or so ago (I think?). I really enjoy "run and gun" type games and this one looked graphically beautiful. It was ok, but I got bored with it after a while. That being said, I haven't played the full version and looked at it since they added more content so I appreciate the video, I wishlisted it and will check it out again when it goes on sale.
Hail to you, Mv Guru! I agree with your overall opinion on this one, I really dig Mobius Machine and I love how it looks. If I have one complaint, its going for 100%, this one is extremely painful due to how massive its map is. Can I think of a great mv without a double jump, with great level design? Easy. Blasphemous. Those who first play it are convinced there's a double jump, I was too
nice vid as always. i only play mv's but i couldnt care less about story, i always skip that part in games. mv's for me is a big beautiful world with tons of secrets shortcut and hard precise battles and platforming. so it has to be a world i wanna live in. hk and ori are my favorites and then guacamelle 2, steamworld dig 2 and yokus island express my next best. next is prince of persia and blasphemous 2 cause theyre just to realistic for me, i prefer cartoony games instead of trying to set a world as we know it or as it used to be fe medieval etc. so please do a list for best mv's replacing the story with visual fantasy as a factor, if you like!!!!
Man i loved this game initially but after 7 or so hours of barely any progression in gear due to the infuriating blueprint system i started not having fun anymore. Every environment started feeling samesy with the same buildings, fungi and winding corridors chock full of enemies that were WAAAAYYY too tanky. I think this last aspect especially just took all the enjoyment out of the game for me. I normally kill every enemy on the map once, usually on my first pass through but here i stopped doing it halfway my playthrough. Enemies are not hard, they're just annoying and tanky and often placed in GOTCHA spots where they come running from behind the foreground. Bosses were super fun though and the absolute highlight of the game together with the pretty visuals. Sadly the visuals also lose their flair seeing the same things everywhere. The whole game is permeated by a feeling of repetition, which is thematically related to the barebones story i suppose. Still i just stopped enjoying exploration due to repetition, boring combat and unrewarding upgrades. It's either low C tier or even D tier for me. Only carried by the good boss fights, crisp visuals and great technical performance
I am playing it right now coincidentally and i agree don't replay it, don't even play it. It's starts of fun and bosses are cool but the whole game feels so samesy the whole time. Like nothing stands out and you're doing the same thing for 15 hours to 100%
They’re two different scales. The number score is for performance, graphics, and stuff like that. The Tier List goes off of specific MV attributes, combat, exploration, progression. Stuff like that. I hope that helps.
I couldn't get into this one at all, visually boring copy pasted environments and reused enemy design together with a poor upgrade system. I'd give it a 5/10 only because of the nice graphics and fluid controls.
Its Möbin time!
How could u not remember ur true love game Blasphemous 1 for the double jump example?!!
U disappoint me MGuru
😉😂
😆 💀

Fancy seeing you here 😊
I appreciate the kind words, my good sir.
Really hope the game makes it to Switch!
The devs said the engine they used is not compatible with the Switch
@@Ohmagawdjr that's too bad! Looks like it's really fun
Well, poop

Either that or wait for the Switch 2.
@sofaking1180 The game uses Unity HDRP, which isn't compatible with the Switch. They aren't just making an excuse not to make a port.
I've enjoyed this one not that I can rank this high enough but still a must try MV games.

Blasphemous! Good call!
A very solid and enjoyable Metroidvania...I'd give it a B plus

Nice suggestion! I’ll look into it 😊
Imo both Guacamelees should be in A tier. Also where is Hollow Knight/Ori 2 in the tierlist?
Guacamelee Is a great franchise.
HK and WotW aren’t on the list yet because I haven’t covered them on my channel yet.
Put up a price alert for it.
MG. whats your opinion on cookie cutter ? im pretty sure ive seen clip of it on your channel
I’m trying to get a vid on it or in January. It’s an interesting game, I can say that 😆

nice, but it doesnt seem worth it to replay it even with the updates
Fair.

how come mobious machine is 8 and lower on tier list than astral blade who got 7.5 😳

@MetroidvaniaGuru thank you so much. I understand now 😊
no hollow knight in the tier list? Oo
I’m waiting on Silksong 😆
