Generally, poverty comes with dirtiness. People don't care about the infrastructure as long as their poor mentality is associated with poverty. Until these people are sensitized about maintaining public facilities and how government can also alleviate people's suffering, this will continue to happen. And negligence of our government contributed to this behavior over the years. There is no public discipline in people's minds towards our facilities.

The new terminal definitely brought orderliness to Oshodi! I can't believe the transformation. Amazing. I can't understand why they haven't bring businesses in to occupy those empty space. I can imagine the loss of revenue. It's also good to see they have cleaners employed to keep it tidy, but more has to be done to keep it looking fresh.
Thanks for bringing us the update. ❤❤❤

No proper ventilation. The heat inside that terminal can kill

    Nice job there! 👍🏽
Quick one: I noticed the 1st terminal you entered, the guy sitting on a chair who happened to be a security man with his legs on the desk or on his chair is so not cool.
The terminal is a masterpiece & I commend the governor for that, but this masterpiece is not used for the intended purpose which is very bad. The terminal 1 is extremely dirty with agbero & people selling all around the place, it shouldn't have been that way.... The governor shouldn't let this terminal go down the way it is going now, he should employ qualified graduates foe managers, & maintenance, qualified securities should be employed as well.... This place should be better than this

If a section of a facility is out of use, officials need to place a barricade and sign for individuals to know. “No Access” sign should be displayed and sections taped appropriately. Security and safety of passengers should be a priority.

We do things in Nigeria without analysis and survey. I believe the shops are too expensive for people to rent, that's why they are not functional. They should have done a survey to know the affordability in that area and the potential usage. I have never seen a station abroad that has empty shops

  • @walesulayman554

The underutilization of the facilities is as a result of corruption that is prevalent in governance system. The ain at which the garage was build to achieve, which is to get every commercial vehicles off the road and load in the terminals is eroded by the current government and rather make it exclusive for their brt buses that are very few. Same we have in other modern garages build in Yaba and Oyingbo, while the rickety yellow buses continue causing nuisance on the main roads.

Thanks for the generally "honest" assessment video. And your concluding comments.at the end.
I consider once the spaces are occupied, maintenance presumably follows.
Furthermore on maintenance, since you have gone round many if not all the stations of the blue and red lines will be able to tell us more about hygiene and cleanliness as it relates more to toilets which people are rightly agitated about.
If the toilets there are well cared for, we should expect nothing less at the Oshodi station.
If you can give a little update on the state of the toilets at Oshodi and elsewhere anytime you cover the hygiene aspect, it 3be appreciated.
On the issue of certain parts being used for other things, adaptability is part of the game.
If something was originally meant to be used for certain things and new purpose like interstate is introduced without hampering other functions, it's all well and good!
If you could access LAMATA bosses and place your observations and concerns of you and your subscribers to them and then hear from their side, we will be able to understand how their mind is working and their future plans.
Because as it is right now, many questions, who go answer am?

This terminal stinks. The complete lack of maintenance is very high. I use the BRT bus and the fact that they don't even care if you go late to work for us that work on the island because ghere are no buses on yiur route. In teh space of 2 hrs or more just 3 buses or less will be available to fake yiu go ajah and yet there are hundreds of ready customers for that route daily.
The floor of ghe terminal if yiu walk tiwards the obalende CMS loading area you'll see the terrible state it is in, same as the terminal 2 aside terminal 1 that has all the buses going to other state loading from there. Cant the governor instruct the association to keep fhat area clean? The stench of open feaces and concentrated urine in that area, the sale of hard drugs and weed is crazy. For the train ride i dont think most people use it because it doesn't take people to major destinations compared to BRT buses. Ghats why it is always empty. Mile 2 to marina will always be full because thats a major destination hub. But yiu can't get train to marina, from Oshodi, that is waste of time. They should gdt more brt buses on the road especially Abule Egba axis. Hopefully they do.
