The beautiful staircases at mile 2 have been taken over by beggers, sellers and lunatics. Mr Governor, please take action now. before these people spoil our beautiful edifice. Even they don't allow commuters to hold on to the rails making climbing up and down very difficult. Thanks. Grandma lolashka Lagos.
Great point. It's human nature if you create a great atmosphere for people, their attitude will be positive. The last 3 decades has been the most horrible for our people. Hopefully things get better with more development projects like this.
Good one lagos and al of Nigeria Espicaly mR ? president BoLa TINUBU and his Team for this one , GooD , Good ad KUDOS !!!!! 👍👍👍 saying hi from Canada !!!
Well this is all marvellous, however, i am hoping that LAMATA moves from strength to strength! Various organisations should be encouraged to invest in this light rail system, so that its growth would impact on the economy of Lagos! By investing, i mean private sector should be allowed to run their train carriages along the tracks, thereby increasing the frequency of trains schedules and increasing the volume of commuters around the city!! Baby steps for now, but i am hoping that in another 3 to 4 years, Giant Steps would mean more rail lines would have been linked to the existing rail network system ! Yes indeed!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
@ LAMATA is not private entity! It is a government agency that was signed into law by the then governor of Lagos, Tinubu in 2005. It has the responsibility to oversee public transportation in the city! This means, regardless of other private enterprise involvement or investments, LAMATA would still have overall control and authority, which is brilliant! Just so you know, the CEO of LAMATA is appointed by the Lagos state government . That is the way to go! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
I was last at this National theatre about 13 months ago, then work was commencing gradually and i can't believe the massive renovation that has already taken Place. Nice one ❤
Nice one! You are doing the lords work. The red line should connect from oyinbo to marina somehow..The metro line is definitely a game changer for lagos state,it will improve a lot of things in the state..Thank you.
Very engaging, travel is still not seamless, from the mainland to the island. However, major strides have been taken, with the two metro lines now operational, we seem to be moving in the right direction. Cant wait to be able to get from iju to lekkie via rail with interconnecting lines i.e from the red line to the blue to the green line, that would be a trip 😊
Thank you for showing us this beautiful new transport infrastructure in Lagos state. What time were you travelling though? I kept on trying to figure out the time.
Better late than never.. For major cities trains or tubes are of utmost importance to relief road traffic... Couldn't imagine new york, Tokyo, London functioning without trains.. let alone a lagos..
Probably because he was not the one that initiated its construction. Ambode did. But it is wrong for new governments to abandon projects started by their predecessors. Government should be a continuum for the sake of the masses.
@ugowilliams8437 What happened was that Gov Ambode jumped the development plan. It was supposed to be delivered according to the plan in a continuum way.
Just looking at the furnishing of the train, I.e the seats, they shouldn’t have used cloths knowing that millions of are going to be seating on them each year. They are definitely going to get filthy and smelly fast especially knowing the lack of maintenance culture of the country. They should have used taken cues from New York or London train station. Little details like this makes a difference on the income generation.
Wonderful experience with the trains. But sorry you may not get any BRT slot back home as you planned because I don't think the BRT do night trips. The last time I checked we went to the Ikeja BRT terminus to return to the Island and we're turned back because they said they had closed for the day. This was between 8 and 9 pm. Because we were new in town, and our plans were scuttled, all pleas to direct us to an alternative fell into deaf and hostile ears. I thought they'd changed. But it is what it is.
A contract was signed for an extension of the red line from Oyinbo to National Theatre at the inauguration of the Red Line in February. National Theatre will be the interchange of both lines.
Something I noticed about all these stations is the apparent lack of police presence, this should be addressed urgently instead of allocating them to fraudsters and politicians.
Keep up Nigeria you are trying your best , if you need more lesson about how to build the longest electric train in Africa you need to come over here in Tanzania
@@moshihunter been to Tanzania, nothing to see. There is no metro, with your new BRT and electric train you acquired yesterday (few months ago) and you think you have arrived. 🤡 BRT has been in Nigeria for over 18 years, and electric trains a couple of years now. Take the L.

Lagos is poorly developed. Imagine people walking on the railway tracks in this video. It speaks volumes of how much we have remained backward in this country and nobody is ready to fix that.
