A huge SHOUT OUT to Andy!!!! Shades of Gym 7!!!!! My husband Jeff competed with Andy back in the day and I knew Andy as a student athletic trainer during his/our college years. SO fantastic to hear about his gymnastics. His 1 1/2 vault and double back were huge. He rotated so fast, he was a blur! Just a reminder to Andy and others in those days, vaulting on a hard narrow horse, and doing double backs on a NO Spring resilite wrestling mat. It was all in the legs, lift, and technique back in those days.
There is a fine line between stereotypical "gym parent" and supportive parent. We all get wrapped up in our child's gymnastics experience, but it's when the parent tries to make the gymnastics experience their own and live through their kid that they've crossed that line. I think sometimes as a gym owner, and sometimes as a coach, it is easier to let your kid have their own gymnastics experience as you are so immersed in the sport already you understand that no amount of crazy is acceptable to force on their child and they are therefore free to have their own experience. You've had yours, now it's their turn.
She was a gymnast herself an owns a gym so probs understands it better than those horrible pushy moms who only really care about showing off to the neighbourhood 🙄
Swinging seems like there is a fun aspect to it like when you played as a kid. Can see why you're so enthusiastic and committed your doing what you love.

Injuries suck, especially the opposing muscle rehab needed to support the injured body part. Great to see your honesty as we all normal mortal beings go through it too
My body definitely does all of the popping stuff and I was only a dancer at a small studio (no where close to being someone who had any type of “good” so certainly not Olympic champion level) so I’m sure that your pops are much more frequent and loud. I know that most of mine are either a good “oh, that just popped” “ah! That felt so good” and at times the “owe!”
ouch it looks so sore! keep going chellsie, you can do this, every day of conditioning will enable you to get back into it, and you'll be less likely to be injured. no conditioning is a waste! :D

I am a jelly mess after watching a full meet. 😂👍💖🤸♀️ If I were President I would decree that once a Gymnast reaches level 10/Diamond or above, College or Elite, that they get FREE passage ANYWHERE on Earth, within reasonable means, by Road, Rail, Air and Sea. THE most advanced beings from other Worlds may exist out there BUT, WE GOT GYMNASTS. 🤸♀️🤸♀️💖💖👏👏🛸🛸
I love Portugal! My dad spends half the year in the Algarve. He's there now and doesn't want to come back to the UK in case he can't go back again coz of Covid lol.
It's cool to see how much you are still able to work on in the gym, and now even focus on bars, which you had been a bit apprehensive about in the beginning. Also, you're a handstand beast.
