I think the best way to post Ohtanis stats would be to put batting stats on a batting card and pitching stats on a pitching card. Topps should just include two variants of his card in each set as a unique card or short print
I agree. I like him having two different cards. It makes chasing his cards more fun.

Judge made an amazingly catch out in the la dodgers stadium. Broke the fence. Sadly he has a contusion on his toe and is injured. The dodgers announced yesterday that they are going to pad the area where judge hurt his toe and reinforce the wall there. Just glad he doesn’t have turf toe.
I hope they have a crowning achievement of Aaron judge (for his great 62 Hr season.) make a 1/1 a signed manufactured relic) then have a No numbered regular manufactured relic

Just bought a Topps galley blaster box marked down to $17 at Walmart today and pulled a foil Julio Rodriguez RC and a #50 (blue) Spencer Strider autograph rookie card.

I'll be curious to see more jumbo opened. I don't expect to see another bonus relic jumbo, but I am curious whether the placement of those relics being separate from the other inserts is standard or a weird fluke.

You know what, that’s a great question about Ohtani’s stats. Maybe they could do like how the 1968 Topps Jerry Koosman/Nolan Ryan is? On the back, maybe have his pitching stats on top and batting stats on the bottom?

I think Corbin Carroll is easily the best of the (true) rookies in series 2, he's just really good. Second I would say Volpe (almost went with Walker it was VERY close), because he is an absolute wizard in the field and when he gets his bat going he's going to be worth probably 5+WAR a season. Next would be Walker, and after that I know it might sound strange now but Ezequial Tovar is going to be a stud in the future I think. I didn't consider the Japanese imports because I consider them basically veterans or Masataka Yoshida would have been in the top three for sure, if not #1.

21 series 2 had a top 4 rookies. Jake Cronenworth KeBryan Hayes Jazz Chisholm and Alex Kirilloff. That's pretty good for the cheap prices on the hobby boxes.
"Hapless Oakland A's" are on the way to taking a second game in a row from your Pirates. Not an A's fan but being a Brew Crew fan... I feel the biggest threat is from your Pirates so I gotta pull for the A's this series. Great videos, Jabs! Always enjoying them, daily!

Thanks for the rip video! Wish I had watched this before purchasing two jumbos today instead of hobby ones! One thing I noticed from watching a few of these series 2 rips was the same order of some of the RC hits, such as Yoshida followed by Ruiz (followed by Moran and Kluber), then another in order is Donovan gold cup then Conforto then Volpe.
Do you think it's better to buy a Jumbo box or a hobby box?

Series Two is so much nicer. The inserts are really neat with the WBC cards, the gold, the other parallels and inserts and more color. Topps is making up I guess?

So Far I've opened 2 jumbos from 2 different cases... 1 missing the boxtopper completely.
They're too lazy to wrap the boxtopper cards in a protective pack anymore (since 2020 or so) so it's PRETTY OBVIOUS when you don't "throw" (cause they are often damaged) that oversized card in. One bright point... the coalition appears to be good.
I opened a 23 heritage hobby box with 2 and 3 of same cards together in same pack and clone basecard packs in same hobby box. Topps... where quality and price are proudly inversely related, and not in a good way.

Donny Sands is an interesting guy to make it in the set as he only has 4 PAs and they were last year on the Phillies. Now he has plays with the Tigers AAA affiliate and hasn't played a game with the Tigers yet. Maybe they had to meet a rookie quota?

I always thought Series 2 was a mix of actual images in new uniforms and airbrushed pictures, but now it looks like they are all airbrushed.
