There is a seller on Ebay offering this up. It only went to 2019 though. Maybe Jabs threw in the 2020 pack. I bought it myself for $170. The early wax was all very suspect. 81 or 82 pack had the gum glued. Also had 2 packs bricked so bad I threw them away. Didn't get my money back but had enough fun I've considered buying another.
Very nice. Between 1993 and 1994 is obviously when the classic pack design began to change. I began collecting in 1988, took a bunch of years off, started again heavily the last few years, especially after viewing these (and others') videos. Thank you.
Great video buddy!! I love Topps baseball cards and I have been collecting them for more than 30 years, see this old cards brought to my mind my good childhood memories, thank you very much and congratulations you found lots of hall of farmers
That was so much fun! I love watching certain breaks, not all, but most. And this ranks up there with one of the more creative and fun breaks to watch.
Dude..you should have a card in topps and donruss the way you've brought so many people back into collecting and baseball...thank you.forgot how much I truly love baseball...when I look at it now..football and basketball were sports. it was something diff with baseball.
Funny thing Erik, you're born 1 year (81) before I was and one day (28) after I was. Also we both like collecting baseball cards. My favorite year 1996, I'll never forget my dad (Who is 73) we bought packs together and he pulled a Mickey Mantle reprint. He was so happy. I always get a pack of Topps baseball to share that connection. My Dad isn't doing well so if people could lift him in up in prayer, it would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to lose him yet.
Great Channel man! Just getting back into sports card collecting as a way to bind with my grandmother who loves sports. Your channel has been very informative as I get back into the hobby!
One of the best memories of Red Sox Yankees playoff rivalry I had growing up was seeing My man Pedro throwing Don Zimmer to the ground where he rolled like a jelly donut… Go Red Sox!!!! And this is a legendary video , I love this idea!!!
This was great fun going down memory lane. And also so many years I wasn’t collecting. We didn’t have any luck with those early year cards, but still good fun. Lots of inserts and gold cards
1986 Topps was the year I collected. For some weird reason Johnnie LeMaster took me months to get.I met Andy Van Skype at an old timer game here in Myrtle Beach.Tekulve,Parker and Tug McGraw.Thank You Erik.Happy Easter man.Stay safe😃🏟⚾🎸🌞
Awesome video as it was cool to see the designs through the years. I’m a few years older than you and 86 donruss was the first cards I can remember buying as I was looking for the Canseco rookie.
Nice video I recently found my dads old baseball card collection. He is currently on deployment on the uss truman so i bought him a bunch of vintage cards for him when he comes home i got him 5 120 card lots 2 50 card lots and a 1989 fleer complete set. Also love ur channel and ur videos
I was a Topps guy until I think it was 1992. then the shiny, wet, looking Fleer Ultra took over. Man, great memories buying those packs back in the day. Always loved the 2003 Topps cards too. It's a shame they stick together. Sometimes I think about buying some of those late 80's early 90's topps...just worried about repacks.
Good video. Nice to have for reference because it’s hard to remember what every year looks like. I prefer the designs from the 1980s because that’s when I started to collect. Back then Don Mattingly was the guy.
Thanks that was pretty educational. I learned about cards and myself. I had no idea what year I stopped collecting cards but by making out what year I stopped recognizing the card design I learn that it was 1994 when I turned 18 years and on the strike year that I stopped collecting cards. I had no idea that the strike year made me soo bitter. It was also educational by showing me what I missed. Can you do this again for other companies such as Donruss,Upper Deck. I remember that Topps weren't though of highly so maybe I kept collecting other companies.
Yes, I collected as a kid in the early 90s, and almost 30 years later I just started again. I was born in February of 83, just early enough to remember a good five years of the 80s. Lucky.
Born in June 83' Started collecting around 88 and stopped in late 90s. Keep getting these videos popping up. Can't believe the norm now is having other people open their packs. Also can't believe how much packs cost now. Don't think i will be reliving my childhood...lol
That Braves Mark Wohlers card, i'm sure as you uttered the words, Braves fans who remember 1996 got an instant stomach ache! 😢 Courtesy of one Jim Leyritz.
I just got back into the hobby and this video just made me realize I may be sitting on some good cards. Me and my friend jumped back into the hobby in early 2012 and were buying everything we could get our hands on b4 stopping again a year or so later. That means I've got like 2 of those cardboard card holder boxes full of 2011 Topps update in my closet. Guess that means I gotta go dig them out and look for Trout cards lol.
This is awesome. I've been working for a while on a book that ranks every Topps flagship base set from worst to best and thought it would be cool to rip a pack for every set that I possibly could-- basically this same time frame, maybe a little ways back into the 70s.
Had to see what got pulled from the pack from my birth year. Nice to see a player from my home team in there.(Although the following pack had an objectively more well known player, but still cool.) What a fun coincidence.
I was the same as you graduated 99. First cards were 89 topps loved 90 topps first set 91 topps. Didn't recognize to much after 94 topps until 2018. Crazy how it felt like I collected forever back then though
This guys baseball knowledge is off the charts just ripping off what year ppl started getting better when they fell off when they won there mvps.....great content man
I know this was probably a lot of work to collect these but this should be a yearly tradition on your birthday.

Please do this again!!! Imagine how awesome this would be if it were one box from each year... that would be super cool.
Great video buddy!! I love Topps baseball cards and I have been collecting them for more than 30 years, see this old cards brought to my mind my good childhood memories, thank you very much and congratulations you found lots of hall of farmers
I have tons of cards..... My Grandpa and I use to watch and he was a big big big fan of baseball which made me love the sport. Nice cards
That was so much fun! I love watching certain breaks, not all, but most. And this ranks up there with one of the more creative and fun breaks to watch.
Anyone else catch that he said Vladimir Guerrero Jr in the 2001 pack
Eagle268 yeah
24:47
Love that card.
What a neat idea for a video. I think I'm going to start stashing a couple of packs of every Topps release each year. Great video, Jabs.
Great stroll up the Topps timeline. Super cool idea Erik! Brought back many memories.
I would never ever leave the hobby I’ve loved since I got my first baseball card
Dude..you should have a card in topps and donruss the way you've brought so many people back into collecting and baseball...thank you.forgot how much I truly love baseball...when I look at it now..football and basketball were sports. it was something diff with baseball.
Regardless of what comes out of these packs, Jabs, I appreciate you. This is some amazing content.
Funny thing Erik, you're born 1 year (81) before I was and one day (28) after I was. Also we both like collecting baseball cards. Prayers for you and your family. Hopefully he is better soon
Great concept for a video. Amazing to see how Topps has changed through the years - both in design and how cards per pack have varied.
Great Channel man! Just getting back into sports card collecting as a way to bind with my grandmother who loves sports. Your channel has been very informative as I get back into the hobby!
Very nice, stopped collecting in the 90’s, this is the 1st time I’ve seen many of these cards over the last couple decades!
I like that you know and appreciate the capabilities of the older players and their cards. This was fun!
One of the best memories of Red Sox Yankees playoff rivalry I had growing up was seeing My man Pedro throwing Don Zimmer to the ground where he rolled like a jelly donut… Go Red Sox!!!! And this is a legendary video , I love this idea!!!
Very cool video, and a great idea. There were several cards in this lot that i would love to add to my own personal collection.
This was a great idea Jabs! I miss Prince Fielder so much! Really loved to see him play and his baseballcards!
I love this idea. 1996 to 2005 was my peak collecting period. I loved 1998 through 2003 especially. They really remind me of my childhood
That period is where I have 0 cards
Erik what a great video buddy. Great walk down memory lane. Thanks so much.
That was awesome watching you open up cards from the past thank you
I really have been getting into baseball cards because of my dad and you are just making that way better I love the content and keep it up
YES! So happy ur doing this. Gonna get good and comfy before I watch. I'd love to make a scrapbook with all the wrappers.
This was an amazing opening and an amazing trip down memory lane thank you so much for posting this this was cool for me this afternoon.
Wow my brain remembered the smell of that 86' Topps pack i opened so many! Wow, thank you
So cool. We were both born in 80. This was very neat to watch.
Jabs your doing great keep up the good work
That is a real cool collection! The great thing about overproduced cards is that everyone can afford to own top stars, especially rookies.
Love your videos! Keep making them so I have something to watch!
This was a great video Jabs, and you are right... If Kershaw retired right now he would be a Hall of Famer!
This was great fun going down memory lane. And also so many years I wasn’t collecting. We didn’t have any luck with those early year cards, but still good fun. Lots of inserts and gold cards
Loved the break!! Makes me want to buy a pack of every year and save them
Very cool video. I love the variety of packs here.
Great video Erik
Coolest card video I've ever seen. Loved every second of it
1986 Topps was the year I collected.
I have the 1981 Johnny Bench card autographed
Thank you for putting this together for us! Loved it!
Very cool video . Nice to see the different packaging over the years . And it looks like the 80s cards hold up better then the 90s cards
34:21 Used to go to school with his son. Super nice guy. RIP
Instant Classic as you being THE first tuber to bust ALL the regular Topps packs! Regular Donruss will probably be next!
Now this is what im talking about getting creative...
Awesome break there was no good luck but its fun to watch how they change the design year by year
More of these, these are awesome!!!!!!!!!!
This video was extremely nostalgic. Ty😊
I only collected for 3 years, from 2015 to 2018. I’m 16 now but watching this video is surprisingly nostalgic for me.
Wow jabs you are the Tiger Card King!
I’m new to the channel because I got a recommendation and now I’m subscribed.
18:39 Rickey Bones 🇵🇷 that card looks 🔥
This...is...amazing! Thank you for this video!
I love how you say not to eat the gum and then go on to detail how it tastes. A man speaking from experience
24:45 he said vladdy jr even though It was his dad 😂 lol this vids are awesome
Nice video
I recently found my dads old baseball card collection. He is currently on deployment on the uss truman so i bought him a bunch of vintage cards for him when he comes home i got him 5 120 card lots 2 50 card lots and a 1989 fleer complete set. Also love ur channel and ur videos
Cool idea for a video, enjoyed seeing the evolution over the years!
Remember those 80s 90s packs well. I used to pick those up all the time when I was younger
I did this with my boys a few weeks ago. I highly recommend it - especially with anybody who has kids.
I was a Topps guy until I think it was 1992. then the shiny, wet, looking Fleer Ultra took over. Man, great memories buying those packs back in the day. Always loved the 2003 Topps cards too. That Ken Griffey Jr insert card was a great hit.
This was my favorite video of your!
This was awesome. What a fun break!
Good video. Nice to have for reference because it’s hard to remember what every year looks like. I prefer the designs from the 1980s because that’s when I started to collect. Back then Don Mattingly was the guy.
This is a great video. Thanks for such great content!
Awesome video brotha! 👍🏼
I was born in 1980 as well and my first pack was a 1987 Topps Sportflics pack from a local 07-11. Good memories from that era!
Topps didn't produce Sportflics cards. They were made by Major League Marketing, Inc.
The most nostalgic video ever
That 1981 topps pack - lots of good hits
Thanks that was pretty educational. I learned about cards and myself. That Paul konerko awsome...he signed a broken batting practice bat for me that same year..spring training 95''......wow.awsome man
Got to see all of the sets I never collected. Very cool.
Dont forget Frank Thomas was close to the triple crown that year. The expos got shipped and Tony Gwynn was about to bat 400 .
Yes, I collected as a kid in the early 90s, and almost 30 years later I just started again. I was born in February of 83, just early enough to remember a good five years of the 80s. Lucky.

Thanks Jabs, fun video... just wish you went from 2020 back since we get so much of the recent stuff, always appreciated though!
One of your best bought back a lot of memories. I started collecting in 86 and stopped in 94
Awesome setup i have not collected since the junk Era but I always watch.
Interesting vid 4sure catching up on old ones
That Braves Mark Wohlers card, i'm sure as you uttered the words, Braves fans who remember 1996 got an instant stomach ache! 😢 Courtesy of one Jim Leyritz.
I just got back into the hobby and this video just made me realize I may be sitting on some good cards. That means I've got like 2 of those cardboard card holder boxes full of 2011 Topps update in my closet. Guess that means I gotta go dig them out and look for Trout cards lol.
I love that the first 11 packs just have a baseball on it.
This is awesome. I've been working for a while on a book that ranks every Topps flagship base set from worst to best and thought it would be cool to rip a pack for every set that I possibly could-- basically this same time frame, maybe a little ways back into the 70s.

This is one of the coolest videos I seen
'81 pack was fire.. well, as fire as '81 can be. Haha
Amazing…!! This was like a History Class of Baseball Card Collecting 101.
That’s is just.....INSANE...OMG
Great idea! This was cool
I was the same as you graduated 99. First cards were 89 topps loved 90 topps first set 91 topps. Didn't recognize to much after 94 topps until 2018. Crazy how it felt like I collected forever back then though
20:49 ❤️ that ‘98 cover with Juan Gonzalez 💪🇵🇷 And the Clemente commemorative cards 🙏
Okay, lost track of Donruss over the years. A 40 years of Donruss video would be an excellent follow up to this one.
Oddly enough the stores restocked those within seconds whereas there's still no toilet paper? Go figure...
@@gustavefrankfurter6462 Why are baseball cards worthless?
@@hansenz Massive overproduction!
This isn’t epic... it’s BEYOND EPIC! Great video my friend
This guys baseball knowledge is off the charts just ripping off what year ppl started getting better when they fell off when they won there mvps.....great content man
There should be a Hall of Fame for TH-cam and this video should get you inducted.
That was a great video. Thanks. Nice greetings from germany
Bahahaha I was going to buy this off Ebay! You beat me to it...Told my buddies to buy for their kids!
I love everything about this.
Now that’s a cool thumbnail. Nice job jabs!!
Some good ones there
