My dad is going on year 4 and its gotten worse Rona and pneumonia aren't helping the situation. Hes on oxygen now daily. I try to keep strong as can be being the oldest, but he's barely 48 young and not ready to lose my old man.
Right there with you. Caught COVID last November, then turned in DVT’s and Bilateral Pulmonary Embolisms in both lungs. The clots, along with viral pneumonia, damaged my lungs so much that now I have pulmonary fibrosis, with several opacities and nodules ileithin the lungs. 3-25mm masses are now being measured every 3 months for possible lung biopsy for malignancy. The scar tissue has become worrisome, and now with the extended inflammation of the lungs, my wbc count is high. They are talking about the possibility of lung transplant in the near future. Never had this before, no clots or fibrosis ever, so this too is a new venue for me. I also become hypoxic quickly, and cannot work. Forced retire essentially. So I feel for anyone who legitimately has down this road. Always forward, and keep positive
I know "Idiopathic" means the cause is unknown. Just wanted to say that PF can be caused by auto-immune diseases such as RA, and Scleraderma. PF is generally terminal.
My Mom is already at yr 5. Just starting with oxygen and therapy now

@@ojlover1929 my father also got diagnosed at the age of 62 ....i lost him within a month .its a disease difficult to manage
