Awesome video! Love your content 👍. I have exact same black crank in my box. Ill have to give it a try.

It seems to excel in that dirty water. It deflects off of wood pretty good too. Let me know how it works for you 🤙🏻

I definitely have some wobble heads somewhere. I also have that black and blue sixth sense crank. Need to get both wet now. Thanks, Alex!

Man I love em. I’ll be using a wobble head all year. Let me know how you do using them!

Barren is a good lake but can be tough at times. It's in a bit of a down cycle.

I saw the potential of the lake and I really like how it sets up. I wish the rain would’ve held off a couple days. I’ll definitely be back this winter and early next spring.

Barren is my home lake. I fish there over a 100 days a year. Also fish in our brfl league tournaments. Prespawn is spinnerbait time down here. Back in march, during our first tournament of the year, the winner had a 24lb bag. His big fish was almost 7lb. Unfortunately, after march and april, the fishing gets horrible lol. 13lb won the other night. I think only 10 people out of almost 70 boats weighed in fish lol. So yeah, winter and early spring is the right time of year to be on barren. The fall topwater bite can be good at times as well

It’s crazy you say that because that’s how the top three bags were caught. 20lbs won the tourney that day. I couldn’t ever get that bite going but I think that has more to do with me not throwing the right spinnerbait while also not being in the right locations for it. It seems like a great winter to spring lake especially when it’s drawn down.

What’s your favorite size / blade combo for the lake? I tried several different ones in practice with no luck.

@@Tightline_angler in early prespawn through spawn, any white, double willow blade will usually work when the waters fairly clear. Usually 1/2 Oz size. I like the Zman ones myself. But if it's dirtier water, then big willow with a smaller colorado. Berkley makes a good type of those. It also helps when the wind is blowing pretty good. They are usually up really shallow, around any kind of rocky, pea gravel banks that time of year. Winter time I've found them on deeper points, or in the backs of deep pockets chasing baitfish

Makes a lot of sense. I definitely plan on going back up there to fish this fall / winter / spring.
Nichols lures makes a Colorado / Indiana blade combo that I love to slow roll in early spring. The dirtier the water the better. The coleslaw color is my favorite.
