In '59 I broke my right ankle. It has been sprained, broke, and turned ever since, conditions I simply bull-headed my way through. Three weeks ago, at a VA hospital, my ankle was replaced, and I remained in the hospital for five nights. My boot arrived today, and I did three sets of squats, five each. But It seems I need to wait another week before exercising. Thanks for your information. I suspect that my age (74) had a lot to my remaining in the hospital almost a week.

Im 44 and worried that this will not last for the rest of my life. However, being in pain daily is starting to change my mind about getting this done.
