11/20. week 10: walking gingerly without cane. Up steps..ok. Down..one foot at a time. No movement or range of motion is at 100 percent. lol. My biggest issue was swelling. I finally got rid of the ice packs and did total foot ice submersion any time I felt swelling. I would advise all patients to do this once doctor says its okay. Ice packs don't deliver enough cold to the entire area including all of the foot. For me swelling had to be addressed before I could move forward. This swelling problem was still at week 8. If you do foot submersion, do cold tap water and add ice a little at time to the water otherwise it will be too cold. Your foot will acclimate to the cold if you add ice a bit at a time. Good luck and yell if you need an opinion or what else I went through.@@blockr51

The surgeon that fixed my trimal dislocation/fracture says I’ll need a surgery in the future, I’m assuming he means either fusion or one of these replacements … hope they keep getting better at them so I’m not sidelined from life (don’t want a fusion)
