Most people who hate on Kpop have that mindset, I was one of them sadly. I had this pre-concieved notion that it was fake, all the same, annoying, only for teen girls, just repetitive dancing, etc. I was so fucking wrong, and I like listening to music that isn't in English now.
I get it that some people may not like them. It's fine, we have different tastes of music and other stuffs anyway. And we don't force anyone here. In this time they actually got 30 millions of new followers or even more. What can I say, my grandpa didn't like The Beatles, thought their music is not good at all and they just make noise music. You cannot push people to be open, I decided at some point I don't wanna be closed off and listen to whatever new music comes along. Also to be open ears backward in time. My conclusion is there's good music everywhere. I will not like every song, but the more I keep an open heart and ear, the better it gets. I thought I don't like improvised Jazz for a while, until I was to a little live jam session that a friend took me, and boy did I enjoy it. Some music is better live for me, some I enjoy when I can make it loud, etc. The only thing limiting my classical music experience is that I have to sit through it like an obedient child, when in fact I would rather like to move crazy like the conductor to it.

This is the video I was looking for. Dynamite was also the first BTS video I ever watched and it's interesting to recall my first impressions. The fact that certain members did not stand out to me in the beginning makes me love them and appreciate them even more now. The only people who stood out to me at that time were JK and J Hope--no Jimin effect for me (YET), in truth he kind of annoyed me in this video. You have to admit that not everyone's talent is on full display in Dynamite, but it's a happy, catchy song. Two weeks after watching this video and thinking, "Eh, fine," I was out w my (Korean) students and this song came on the radio (in the US) and I was like, "What? It's Dynamite! Yeah!!" and I was literally jumping for joy. And one of my students, a Korean man, said, "Yeah, I'm not that crazy about BTS but I love this song." Famous last words!! There's still a strange disconnect in my brain where I feel like I should not love them as much as I do...but I DO. I think at the time this song was released we all needed a shot of hope of happiness, and this song delivered. By the way, I love your accent.

Name a genre, and they have a song....rap? r&b? pop? ballad? hip hop? Jazzy/bluesy? And anything with all these influences mixed into it...They really are super talented individuals (all 7). I would encourage you to turn on your English subtitles and watch some of their Korean or Japanese songs.
Maybe you would like IDOL which has both Korean and African vibes and symbolism in it. It is in Korean and English combined, so watch with English subtitles. To date, they have 3 all-English songs (this one, Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance). The rest are in Korean with some English, or in Japanese.

Welcome to the BTS Army my friend, lol. All of their songs except Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance are a mix of English and Korean and trust me, it doesn't matter if you speak Korean or not. Their music, personalities and performances are the best I've ever seen. And I'm a 58 yo mother of 4 adult sons. I have to be honest, I've sort of mentally adopted all 7 members as 7 more sons bc they are such beautiful human beings and very like my own kids.

Trust me not alot of people like them until they listen to more of there songs then they like them I've seen guys react to bts and they can't get enough of listening to them and they never heard of them or nothing they became fans instantly after listening to more of there songs you'll get there lol it's okay tho.

This is the video I was looking for. Dynamite was also the first BTS video I ever watched and it's interesting to recall my first impressions. The fact that certain members did not stand out to me in the beginning makes me love them and appreciate them even more now. The only people who stood out to me at that time were JK and J Hope--no Jimin effect for me (YET), in truth he kind of annoyed me in this video. You have to admit that not everyone's talent is on full display in Dynamite, but it's a happy, catchy song. Two weeks after watching this video and thinking, "Eh, fine," I was out w my (Korean) students and this song came on the radio (in the US) and I was like, "What? It's Dynamite! Yeah!!" and I was literally jumping for joy. And one of my students, a Korean man, said, "Yeah, I'm not that crazy about BTS but I love this song." Famous last words!! There's still a strange disconnect in my brain where I feel like I should not love them as much as I do...but I DO. I think at the time this song was released we all needed a shot of hope of happiness, and this song delivered. By the way, I love your accent.

Hello!Thank you Victor for reacting to BTS!Please allow me a suggestion!Drop the word "hater" from the title of your reaction videos,I'm gonna explain why!1)I believe that you were never a "hater" ,ignorant (with the meaning not knowing,not concerned or interested to find out) maybe yes but "hater" that's a very negative and heavy word,I'm glad and very proud of you that as you explained even if their music isn't a genre that you like ,you still gave them a chance!Shout to you boy!!!Loving music meaning you give a chance to several other artist's work- even if it's not in your preferences,vib .That's mature and open minded!
2)If you never heard about us ,the fandom of BTS ,ARMY ,well we have plenty of reasons(discrimination,death threats,faulty accusations ,aggressive haters that tried/ing to diss/hurt their families e.t.c) over the years to be sometimes overprotective about these boys, so it's a little of a sensitive topic this word and a lot of hot headed people that maybe won't even bother to see the your video just because of the title ,making assumptions and attack!!So to avoid any misunderstanding and conflicts and miscourage maybe to go on,I advice you to correct that word,it's up to you in the end afterall.
So to continue,BTS they don't do only a genre. They have hip-hop,pop,jazzy rnb,electronic and mixed genre songs!In Korean mostly but also English and Japanese. They get part at the production and writing lyrics in their songs too and they are also known for the meaning of their songs!!So welcome to a really long roller coaster!!

When someone says that they are a BTS hater, I ask "what made you hate them?" Or "say which song do you hate the most?" Or "what do you know about them that you hate them?"
They say that they look like girls, I get so angry that I want to slap them right across their face but, I say them "they are song makers and performers, how they look doesn't matter. If you hate them then hate them because of their works and not by their looks. They do look beautiful and handsome. It's just that your eyes have a curtain or something and your mind has it printed that they don't look good."

Name a genre, and they have a song....rap? r&b? pop? ballad? hip hop? Jazzy/bluesy? And anything with all these influences mixed into it...They really are super talented individuals (all 7). I would encourage you to turn on your English subtitles and watch some of their Korean or Japanese songs.
You see this is the reason we army vibe to their songs it's really nice they are so decent and cool I love them so much
Maybe you would like IDOL which has both Korean and African vibes and symbolism in it. It is in Korean and English combined, so watch with English subtitles. To date, they have 3 all-English songs (this one, Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance). The rest are in Korean with some English, or in Japanese.
If you give BTS a chance you might find a song that you like or you might stan for what they stand for💜
But if you don't like BTS or any of their songs, don't hate them, just respect them as artist(not saying that you said something bad about them in this video, but you kind of titled your video as "hater")
I hope you always give us an honest reaction bc we as army 💜 would like to hear honest opinions about others regarding our favorite band.

Welcome to the BTS Army my friend, lol. All of their songs except Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance are a mix of English and Korean and trust me, it doesn't matter if you speak Korean or not. Their music, personalities and performances are the best I've ever seen. And I'm a 58 yo mother of 4 adult sons. I have to be honest, I've sort of mentally adopted all 7 members as 7 more sons bc they are such beautiful human beings and very like my own kids.
This was such a refreshing video. You actually reacted to them with an open mind. It's totally understandable it's not to your taste. I think you might like their song "idol" much better
Oh my god dude, you have no idea how talented these boys are. Not only are the so talented, they have donated millions to Black Lives Matter, they are the kindest, sweetest, most compassionate people on the planet. You have to watch their dance practice videos.,.you will be blown away.
