Mine survived an absolute battering up at Fort William in March. 60 kph winds gusting up the great glen I could hear them building up. No damage whatsoever to my Grampian 2 whilst there were collapses and cave ins all around me in other tents and caravans. I was waiting for it to go too but it took it easy, no leaks either. That was with all 4 vents fully open too, a little condensation but that’s expected with such a solid tent. Great buy I’m well happy with it. 👍
Excellent. My Cheviot 2 has been tested to hell 😂. Good to know your experience, thanks for commenting. I’m sure my Grampian will get some fierce testing soon enough. Thanks again. 👍
@@amateurexplorer809 You did a great job mate. You explain everything well and thoroughly, plus you let the camera linger on key features of the tent so we can get a good view of the individual parts. Good job.
Hi there, I'm after a new tent and thinking about purchasing the Berghaus make and is wondering if you know how good is the Brecon one as I only live a few miles from the Beacons, and cheers for your video.
Hey! Thanks so much for your review of this tent, I am looking at buying one myself so it's super useful to see it in action. One thing I am not managing to figure out - does it come with its own footprint? If not, do you feel its absence or have you purchased it separately?
Hi there, thanks for commenting. There’s no extra footprint and I would recommend getting one as the bathtub isn’t as sturdy as some. I use Tyvek house wrap paper which is waterproof and reasonably durable. Good luck with the purchase and please subscribe if you want to support my channel. 👍
I love this tent and would have one for my wild camping. The only problem is, which is a big one. Why is it bright, bright red!!! 😅 I bet they lose a lot of sales because of it.
I know. They used to make them in green also, but for some reason (assuming manufacturing costs of multiple colours) they stopped. Thanks for the comment. 👌👌👍
Im presuming the sideways pockets are to stuff the door into when its open. Ive got a helm 1 and struggling withe such a small space so bought the brecon 2 last night Aland eagerly awaiting its delivery
Doors into the pockets, I haven’t tried that! I’ll see if they go next time I’m out 👍. The Brecon 2 looks good. You won’t struggle with space with that one 😁. Thanks for the comment. Happy camping 👌.

Came for the tent but the dog stole the show ❤️ cherish every moment with him mate they grow old too fast
They’re such a lovely breed, definitely man’s best friend 😀. Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing, I hope the video was off some use 👍.
That's really interesting. I didn't even know Berghaus made tents! Thanks for sharing.
They do, they’re not the lightest but well made and tough. Thanks for commenting 👍.
Hi buddy the side pocket at the front is to store the door away when open. Thanks for the video 💯👊
Great video mate. I’ve just bought the Cairngorm 2 from gonoutdoors.
Thanks for posting such a comprehensive review of a similar tent.
Thanks for viewing and commenting Tommy. I hope you get lots of good use from your Berghaus. Happy camping . 👍
I would like to buy this tent but nobody send from uk to Italy.Someone can help me please?
I have just subscribed. Loving Archie :)
Thanks for watching and subscribing. I’ll try and get Archie in the next video 😂
My only worry and you did mention it was How thin the ground sheet felt!!
I’m sure it’s strong enough but does feel flimsy 🥴. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
Love the opener, brilliant 😂 ‘prick’. Didn’t think I’d laugh on tent review.
Great video thank you
Thank you, I know the video is a bit rough but hopefully useful 👍

I think I saw a review on another tent that had bright red that it could be to do with easy relocation if you need to find it again
Hi mate!Inner tent is full mesh?
It is, but a very close weave massively reducing airflow, nothing like Amy MSR Hubba NX. Berghaus would be good for winter use.

Great video,thanks 👍 👍
Thanks Ian. I hope it was helpful.
What's a shevyott?
Hi Gordon. Berghaus do a smaller sturdier tent called the Cheviot 2. There is a video on my channel reviewing it. Thanks for commenting, 👍
Nice wee video.
Thanks buddy. Much appreciated. 👍👍
5:16 its a bit red 😂😂😂😂
Very, I’d like to say the camera had an effect, but it is really that red 😂
But weight 4kg
It does 🥴. Still a good tent, just not ideal for long treks with that weight.
@@amateurexplorer809 I have same one on green colour, very sturdy
Too heavy for us hike campers
Hell yeah! 😂. My lightweight options are not Labrador friendly though 😆. Thanks for watching. 👍
@amateurexplorer809 good point 👉 🤣😅
Thanks chap..that colour is awful...inside is far too bright
It’s definitely my winter option, early sunset and late sunrise 😂😂🤣. Thanks for watching 👍
I like it, it’s a nice change from the olive green that every other tent seems to be!
