Fun Fact:Varok Saurfang never eats pork,You know why?Its because the squeals of a pig before slaughter remind him of the screams of the Draenai during the Orc invasion
Spoiler Alert: I found a very creepy Blizzard story within Legion. For the achievement " What a Rip Off" you find out that the taurens that started the quest chain suddenly dissapeared and now there these goblins. Well after some searching in forums and in game. You discover that the taurens were murdered by the goblins who are stealing their stuff to sell in Dalaran. But where are the bodies. If you look in the trees between the camp and zeplin, you will find them on the ground slained. But then the bodies are gone once the chain is completed. I thought this should be on one of your creepy lists.
I love all the creepy stuff in wow, but my favorite creepy thing is duskwood, the whole zone. Everything is perfect to me there, the music, the ambiance, those yellow eyes in the bushes and the unknown soldiers grave. Also the other stories, like Blind Mary, Yorgen the worgen, the lich in the catacombs beneath Raven Hill and the Emerald Dream portal in the center. I still love to stay there whenever I feel nostalgic :D
+Amelia I. Duskwook is my favorite creepy zone too. I remember playing at it on a private BC server. There was no flight path from east to west side of the zone. Remember meeting Stitches on the road and run like hell. Good times. :D
+Ilych Bram von Matus (Abe Beelze) Yeah I remember Stitches... ran like hell when I had seen that he was an elite back in the day when I first leveled lol.
I remember during BC, my friend wrote a short story called 'Worgen in the Woods' where a group of kids are lost in Duskwood and are slowly picked off one by one by Worgens. (We were like 10 at the time)
+Amelia I. I also remember Mor'Ladim, came outta no where back in my starter days of WoW and pwned my little weak butt while I was trying to finish a quest. Lol, it scared the hell outta me but I had to laugh soon after.
Joseph Jenkins Jr. I first came acros Mor'Ladim on my shadow priest, it took me 15 minutes to kill him and I had to stand completly still so I don't pull all the mobs in the room that re-spawned. It was awesome! I came down there this year again and helped out some random priest, that made me remember myself and how I wished someone would come down to help me.
The creepy kids aren't in Elwynn Forest anymore. However, I went into old Hillsbrad looking for a vendor one day and came across the freaky little things on the edge of the woods there. Also, saw Kel'thuzad as a human, Darian Morgraine pre DK, and Nat Pagle as a teenager 😁
WoW has lots of aesthetically creepy stuff, but the implied rape in Unbroken and the pedophilic obsession of Stalvan Mistmantle have to be the most legitimately disturbing to me. Mistmantle being a direct reference to Humbert Humbert from Lolita, what's especially upsetting about both characters is how charismatic and sympathetic they are written so that the reader almost falls into the trap of overlooking the fact that they are absolute monsters. the draenei-corpse road thing is also pretty disturbing too. I honestly never noticed it. and all the undead/scourge body horror... (torturously sewing people together, yeah that's real PG). okay nevermind, this universe is super disturbing. lol
You forgot the horror story that took place during mid WotLK. Millions of adventurers making their way to dungeons across Northrend, gathering their friends, stepping into dungeon portals... and finding themselves... still outside the portal. They try again to step through the portal to no avail. They are trapped in an endless loop. Each time they step into the portal a false hope grows even as they are flung back out again. Hope that is constantly shattered by 5 words. *Additional instances cannot be launched.*
You forgot the most terrifying story in world of warcraft, hundreds of years ago a brave Orc warrior went to the war with his army the fight went on for a few days then the Orc simply disappeared, it is believed he disconnected but no... The old gods sent his body to the void where he was tortured and everytime he would be asked "what can you see" all he would answer was "darkness.."
+Nobbel87 when i was leveling with a friend we saw the fel reaver and we mutually agreed to kill that bitch, and we did. it was never scary or horrible to us
+Nobbel87 omg i'm like super excited and glad you used my photos!!! Mine were the spooky meat ones (Eric 1 and 2) tysm omg :DDDDD you have no idea how much it means to me one of my fave youtubers using one of my screenshots in his video :DDD
Been continuously playing WoW since 2007 when TBC came out and I haven't the tiniest idea the road was made out of bones XD Still staring up at the sky though.
Heya Nobble, was hoping you could possibly make a lore video on the 8 major cities, explaining there history, previous leaders and how they came to be.
There is an old quest pre-cata where you find a grave in Raven Hill which was messed around with. You go back to Darkshire and talk to the Librarian there who gives you the book about the man who was burried there. The book is called "The Story of Morgan Ladimore". Really creepy and sad story. After that you are sent to kill him back at the Raven Hill because he became mindless.
+Mitar Zecevic But isn't the quest the same now? I did it a while ago, and it was just like this if I remember correctly.. But I agree, it was a bit disturbing..
You know, speaking of the puzzle box and it's constant reference to this city called, "Ny'alotha" I noticed something. So you know how the Old Gods are basically a reference to Lovecraft's Old Ones? Well I'm assuming Ny'alotha is a reference to Cthulhu's city of Ry'lyeh..which is underwater. Maybe Ny'alotha is beneath the waters of Azeroth?
So, I recently discovered that weird and creepy questline, where the horde and the alliance set sail to randomly have war somewhere at sea after they barely saved the world from being destroyed. And then they suddenly discover this huge island that no one ever discovered before for some reason. And on this island there are hundreds of weird looking bear cretures, who want me to solve their problems. And they want to join the horde and alliance although, we unleashed the chaos of an old god, brought war upon their territory and did many more horrific actions. Has anyone else ever done that questline before?
Love the videos Nobbel! The Children of Goldshire were so creepy for me. In Vanilla I remember making the extremely long trip as a Horde player to try and find and see these creepy kids, I was so fascinated by them. Just one great example of how great WoW is.
I remember doing the Legend of Stalvan questline in Vanilla on my mage. I had to travel to Goldshire, the Eastvale Logging Camp, Moonbrook in Westfall, Lakeshire in the Redridge Mountains, and Stormwind. Every time you got a letter or diary entry for a step, a level 20-something ghost would appear who would curse you with a -10% to all ability scores debuff. My mage could remove it, but my paladin (when I did the quest later) could not. I never made the Lolita connection until very recently when I watched another TH-camr doing a video about that questline. I did the quest on a priest last month, and it was very much simplified, and every part of the chain is now within Duskwood.
awesome vid! i love watching your vids :D what is the story behind the zoltarian cultists, they are creepy, and damn....what happened to their faces???
Love the work you do Nobbel, I have spent way too many nights listening to your voice when I should be sleeping :P. However, I have another potential scary story idea that Blizzard could do with our favorite anti-hero, Illidan, especially considering the upcoming release of Legion. I know this comment section should be for current and past stories but I just thought you might like to think on it. Also, an "INCOMING WALL OF TEXT" warning is probably needed. I know you don't like that Blizzard made Illidan go "insane" in the BC, but perhaps they could do a short story for Legion explaining his insanity. I believe that he actually could be somewhat insane due to the fact that he survived from a wound from Frostmourne. We all know that Frostmourne drains the souls of those who it strikes and, I remember you made a video where you said Frostmourne was forged from the remains of an Old god (I forget which one sorry!). Now, also Illidan got his eyes from Sargeras who probably was not happy with his failings and betrayals and probably wanted control Illidan more effectively. He could resist effectively before his fight with Arthas, but the wound from Frostmourne probably took some of his soul and willpower with it. Also, anytime an Old god is involved, the insane asylums get great business with raving maniacs or minions. Thus, this story could peek into Illidan's mind as he struggles against succumbing to Sargeras, Frostmourne's call, and maybe an Old god too while he is imprisoned for the second time. The writer could make the creepiest things up as the outside influences try to batter down Illidan's will. The story could end with Gul'dan freeing him with Gul'dan remarking "Now you serve me, Illidan Stormrage, the darkness incarnate!"To which Illidan replies: "You are merely a pale shadow to what I have seen..."Anyways, love the content and keep up the good work!
nobbel87 you inspired me to begin a youtube and share the journey with people, currently doing a 90-100 lets play on a warrior, and trying to give a little lore about characters on the way, keep bringing out awesome content dude!
I once went in there as a female to see what would happen. No joke on 2 separate female characters I had the same human female mage ask me if I liked eating cats. It was fucking weird.
Isn't Tobias Mistmantle the worgen that sends you on those birds to take down a orc gunship during the worgen quest line? And also make you wait 30 minutes before doing so.
To this day i still tremble and my Heart skips a beat when i hear the sound of the Felreaver. I hated Hellfire Pinnicula and endet up being quit paranoid until i got a flying Mount :D
When you play through the worgen starting zone, you are actually the one who bites Tobias Mistmantle and turns him into a worgen, as seen in the cinematic (although it only shows him being knocked down, but it's pretty obvious what happened next)
It's pretty implied it was gang rape...they didn't want to say it flat out. A group of orcs "torturing" draenei while they taunt them and the women scream is as far as they could go in material related to a game with a T rating. Not to mention it's only females and they say it a couple times. Really makes you wonder why people would want to RP such a savage race of genocidal maniacs when you could play an honorable human or a dignified Night Elf or even a noble Tauren. (I know, I know, demon blood...I'm just stirring the pot, sorry).
iJutsu And there it is. They remind me of generic war criminals...like maybe the British who invented concentration camps in the Boer War, or the American soldiers who gang-raped a 14-year-old then killed her and her family in Al-Mahmudiyah Iraq, or German Nazis who tried to exterminate a whole race, or any of the other countless people who have committed war crimes. Real life race doesn't come into it. In the words of George R.R. Martin, "War makes monsters of us all."
Yssie Freeda Soul Agreed. Honestly, I'm not sure why I responded to this jackass in the first place. All it did was give him an opportunity to continue his hate speech.
+Yssie Freeda Soul "Shitty disgusting upright fucked up shithole you call a country" Hang on a second mate that's a bit uncalled for, Germany's arguably the best country to live in in the world, and Germans are some of the nicest, most intelligent, and healthiest people you'll ever meet. Also yeah, Europeans have done a lot of terrible things, but that comes part and parcel with power, ingenuity, intelligence, rivalry, etc. The same virtues that powered colonization, slavery, and such also powered the greatest surge in technological medical and scientific discovery known to mankind. Without Europe, there wouldn't be a concept of modern medicine, no education, no human rights, no United nations, etc. The virtues inherent in Europeans that caused colonization and slavery were inherent in all civilizations throughout history, but the thing other civilizations did not invent were the aforementioned values today taken for granted across the world. I could talk about how the Islamic slave trade made the Atlantic one look like a fucking playground trinket swap, and how African kings were the ones selling their neighboring tribes' people off to the Europeans to start with, and how the Europeans were the only people in history to voluntarily give up their Empires, and then offer continuous aid to the nations affected by their colonies (Which said nations then spend on stupid shit like weapons.) You can thank Europe for the fact you can be at liberty to sit about shitposting on TH-cam while watching a video about World of Warcraft.
The most scary place i have been in WoW , that the left side of the Tirisfal Glades. The coordinate of that place is 17.57, 67.53. they maybe a huge story hidden there
Duskwood in vanilla wow was pretty bad ass, especially since you have a level 35 elite skeleton patrolling owning lvl 20's in the cemetery. That made me paranoid when questing here. I think blizzard should have left it alone without revamping it.
Nobbel did you already talk about the skinned human face that makes up part of the leather in the gnoll tents by where Hogger is? I guess that isn't a story >.> but it's creepy. lol Love your videos!
I really want Blizzard to make a Old God expansion and explain everything about them because personally I think they have the most interesting lore and definitely the most creepiest :) also how many old gods are there because I only know of 4 but there are surely more out there ?
+Ommy CSGO There are creations of the old gods out among the stars. On Azeroth, the known living ones are C'thun, Yogg Saron, and N'zoth. Y'shaarj is dead. We have never killed a single old god, and N'zoth has no true prison like c'thun and yogg. So, yes there are probably more out there. Just not on Azeroth.
+Ommy CSGO Actually i dont think they will because thats the point of lovecraftian beings, not knowing, about that dark old huge evil just below the surface of reality, something so impossible and scary that your mind cant even begin to understand it....so if you explain it...it kinda stops being so intriguing
The recent warcraft books explain them. Watch the most recent nobbel videos, they reveal a crap ton of how the warcraft universet started, what the titans are doing, and how weak the old gods in comparison to the titans are in canon lore =*(. However sargares is now less crazy and more is trying a different strategy to protect the universe.
Ommy CSGO Well if it makes u feel any better, Legion does make a big revelation about the Old Gods. I don't want to spoil it, but in short, we be Lovecraft now.
I'm surprised that Teron Gorefiend isn't included in any of these! I find the original deathknights to be one of the freakiest things in WoW. The sole fact that they're in a body that's not their own-- on top of Teron's terrifying face... creepy.
I remember when I was just wandering Gold Shire on a pretty new character and I just saw the kids forming a pentagram so I did what anyone would do I followed them. That was a pretty memorable adventure in Gold Shire.
Duskwood was insane pre cata. Stalvan, Mor'Ladim, Morbent Fel the necromancer, Bride of the Embalmer, Stitches....good stuff, and amazing writing for those quests.
Blizz can create additional creepiness during Hallows End. For example, when you step into a haunted mansion in game, random creepy scenarios would appear and your bags become inaccessible etc.
Stalvan's story is reference to the book Lolita (the name of the girl he is in love with, Tilloa, is also anagram of Lolita which is most likely not a coincidence).
One thing that i have came across a while ago, actually i think it was around the time of your top 10 creepy wow stories and wanted to suggest it but never actually did and that was the Botani. Once you become the Personal Wingman to Vivienne, She asks you to help her on a task set by Sylvannas. Sylvannas has been made aware of what the Botani are like and relates them being very akin to the Scourge and asks us to help her recover the corpse of one of their more recent creations(name slips my mind) But that quest and its text made me shudder a bit and after that some of the Botanis text becomes creepier. some Botani Mobs say along the lines of our corpse will make fine fertiliser for their seedling and the name of the orc mobs that they control have names like Shambling and Enthralled. Even Dulhu, part of that council fight in Everbloom is now described as more plant than orc and now the mindless guardian of the 2 Botani in that fight, Telu and Gola. there are even some Riverbeast seen seen with vines protruding out of them in Goregrond some times even floundering(maybe a glitch or some thing but still makes it kinda scary). to make it creepier those orcs are, if interpreted right, are already dead and are now just shambling incubators for future Botani. Thats form the Horde side though as Vivianne is a horde only follower. her Alliance equal is the Stormshield Deathknight and im sure his quest is the same but likely sent by Mograine. Sorry if it seems kinda messy but this is just off the top of my head as im remembering it.
in the throne room, not also u can hear that moment, but if you keep lisening, u can also hear the moment when Medivh warns terenas about the legion :D
I was reading the coments thinking the clip was over and i hear a Whisper saying 'You betreyed your friends' and in like i aint got no friends to betrey
+Patrick Jane MADAFACA They are talking about the elevators in certain raids, many people mess up and fall to their death while trying to get on the elevator.
do you guys know ? if you have the puzzel box of yog, and you go to vashirj to a secret place ! there is a hint , " only the fish knows the secret.... GUYS there is a strange are where a BIG pearl with purple sparkle is surrendet By BIG FISH and if you manage to get close to the pearl before fatique kills you. you ge the message "only the fish knows the secrets.... AND then you die.. YOU just die, even if your out of fatiq you jsut die by getting closer to the pearl and in my opinion this was scary as fuck. there is even a video on youtube about it!
Fun Fact:Varok Saurfang never eats pork,You know why?Its because the squeals of a pig before slaughter remind him of the screams of the Draenai during the Orc invasion

If you listen to that dialogue line it isn't just the screams of Draenai, it reminds him of the screams of the draenai CHILDREN specifically.
Wow cool

Heya Nobble, was hoping you could possibly make a lore video on the 8 major cities, explaining there history, previous leaders and how they came to be.
Children of Goldshire are reference to "Village of the Damned" movie, I guess.
Btw. This banshee screamer. Rly, f*ckin funny...
+Piromyśl It's a reference to the Stephen King short story Children of the Corn
+MrCutman199 no it's not
+GamingFactory I see what you did there
More like children of the corn
Who knows lol they may be linked to the old gods in future xpac XD

Kathrine Yeah, it's still there today, my mistake.
+Rashkiesuce I am pretty sure it is a level 20 or 21 quest. I done is when I was lvl 20.
How can you get scared by that jump scare when he literally mentioned Banshees and old gods having somethign to say just as he played the soundfile...

Except u guys apparently

Shadow Kitten C'mon, really?
Shadow Kitten I was basically mocking the whole MoP-Expansion.
RunderKeks28 I think that there was a random prince too. Think his name was Dwin? Andu? Something like that.
@@michellemanly1365 Oh yeah that badass. Unlike his father who kept getting curb stomped when soloing the beaches during Siege of Orgrimmar.
Ill tell you why the kids of GS are scarred they saw ERP in the inn

Up until like Cata, BTW, the crown was STILL on the floor of the throne room.

As an arachnophob, Naxx's spider quarter was quite creepy :D I remember, I was like 12 years old and those spooders back then...
19:00 That thing under the tree growls at you when you get close to it. It's in the Spires of Arak.

Hey Nobbel,
The Puzzlebox is a reference to the Hellraiser films. It pretty much looks exactly the same as it does in the movies.
My favorite spooky place is the Knights Hallow in duskwood with the creepy statues and glowing eyes.
When you play through the worgen starting zone, you are actually the one who bites Tobias Mistmantle and turns him into a worgen, as seen in the cinematic (although it only shows him being knocked down, but it's pretty obvious what happened next)
2:37 FNAF has made me resistant to your treacherous ways nobbel!
Great great job Nobbel! I really enjoyed it
It's pretty implied it was gang rape...they didn't want to say it flat out.
That part made me uncomfortable
iJutsu And there it is.
+Yssie Freeda Soul
"Shitty disgusting upright fucked up shithole you call a country"
Hang on a second mate that's a bit uncalled for, Germany's arguably the best country to live in in the world, and Germans are some of the nicest, most intelligent, and healthiest people you'll ever meet.
I could talk about how the Islamic slave trade made the Atlantic one look like a fucking playground trinket swap, and how African kings were the ones selling their neighboring tribes' people off to the Europeans to start with, and how the Europeans were the only people in history to voluntarily give up their Empires, and then offer continuous aid to the nations affected by their colonies (Which said nations then spend on stupid shit like weapons.)
You can thank Europe for the fact you can be at liberty to sit about shitposting on TH-cam while watching a video about World of Warcraft.
DAMN IT NOBBLE THAT BANSHEE SCREAM GOT ME! :D
2:38 you scared the **** out of me 🤣
The most scary place i have been in WoW , that the left side of the Tirisfal Glades. The coordinate of that place is 17.57, 67.53. they maybe a huge story hidden there
2:17 remember when the health used to look like that
That fel reaver part.. So true at the time :D
Duskwood in vanilla wow was pretty bad ass, especially since you have a level 35 elite skeleton patrolling owning lvl 20's in the cemetery. That made me paranoid when questing here. I think blizzard should have left it alone without revamping it.
18:27
Hah stormrage, yeah had the same thing when I logged in for WoD. The server would crash every few minutes for the first 2 weeks.
Nobbel did you already talk about the skinned human face that makes up part of the leather in the gnoll tents by where Hogger is? I guess that isn't a story >.> but it's creepy. lol Love your videos!
Thanks Nobbel you my favorite wow youtuber
Watching this at 3 am.. Alone... At my dark apartment... That's pretty spooky lol
Reminds me of the days I used to watch Fnaf this way 😂
That sound of the fel reaver will always haunt me haha!
My lights flickered when kthun said you will die....for real....
Seriously bro. You good?
It has been 4 years he is quite possibly dead will research later end tape
Even more fun than the normal vid Nobbel! Thanks, as always.
This is one of my favorite of your video's. Thanks man.
11:26 Shaka, when the walls fell!
Great video as always!
Great video, as always
I don't want to spoil it, but in short, we be Lovecraft now.
we are going to defear g’huun in bfa that was experiement on old gods resulting in 5th old god being created
I was oooking around goldshire to laugh my ass off when I walked in on this and just stayed away from goldshire for a long time
I'm surprised that Teron Gorefiend isn't included in any of these!
Cool I'm laying in bed watching your video and peed myself from the jump scare…
2:35 I think i shit my pants when i saw this in the game for the first time
(I didn't know anything of it)
18:28 . I almost fell laughing at that.
OmigoshYas! Mine was featured! Made my week!
Seriously though, that Fel Reaver gave me heart attacks!
jesus nobel the art was easily the creepiest part XD you did warn us though so i thank you on that part
I really really hope we get more info on the puzzle box. It's easily the most intriguing secret in wow.
Stalvan's story is reference to the book Lolita (the name of the girl he is in love with, Tilloa, is also anagram of Lolita which is most likely not a coincidence).
nobbel, could you please do a compilation of all the blizzard cinematics / cutscenes in chronological order?
Damn I didn't know about the unbroken story. That had to be the darkest lore on the list!
An almost unbreakable puzzle box with hellish creatures whispering? You will die in ???? Sounds like a reference to pinhead and his friends. :)
One that would be nice to cover is the scythe of elune from before cataclysm. Since I don't think it's in the game still
Got shivers down my back when the fel reaver's sound went off =_= so many deaths to that freaking thing.
I was reading the coments thinking the clip was over and i hear a Whisper saying 'You betreyed your friends' and in like i aint got no friends to betrey
where is the elevator boss?
do.....not.....mention......HIM.He is too dark to be covered by any of his eppisodes.
explain please
+Patrick Jane MADAFACA NO IT IS TO SCARY..... DON'T ASK ANYMORE ABOUT THAT THING!!!!!
+Patrick Jane MADAFACA
They are talking about the elevators in certain raids, many people mess up and fall to their death while trying to get on the elevator.
+Brennan M. Undercity used to have the hardest elevator boss.
1:01 Tiny female human dancing XD
The jump scare wasn't that scary guys lol
i liked that ending nobble, you should do them more often
do you guys know ? if you have the puzzel box of yog, and you go to vashirj to a secret place ! there is a hint , " only the fish knows the secret....
I live for these vids! Ty Nobbel!
Unbroken is a heavy sad story, it gave me chills during the description of the attack in Shattrath. =/
Blind Mary's story is also quite creepy. Alot more sad than creepy, but still.
Love the Ryleh reference with the box and Yog Satoth from Cthulhu mythos.
I forgot, was Tobias from the worgen starting quest line?
+MoonMoonFang Yes
+MoonMoonFang and you're the one that turns him into a worgen.
Is Tobias in Duskwood the Tobias in the Gilnean starting zone? I can't recall very well...
That Fel Reaver cry sent shivers down my spine. Ah the nightmares!!
I get the feeling Wow's creators have watched a lot of Hellraiser!
I'm so in love with your voice😍
Rip captain placeholder 2004-2010
awesome Video nobbel! happy Halloween everybody!
OMG Nobbel ! I hate you for that Banshee scream! :D
