    • @jonasbaggersgaard292
      @jonasbaggersgaard292 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mku4 It basically means you have to set the steering lock to 436 degrees both ingame and in your wheel's software to get the optimal feel. When it's set correctly, the wheel moves 1:1 with what you do, and it also gives you a hard stop (it's called bumpstop) when you turn the wheel all the way.

    Hi james
    Loving the content.
    Just bought a sc2 pro. Now im after some.settimgs. seen some of your videos but they are old. As in, there's been loads of updates to simucube software and most sim titles since your video.
    Could you do a video list all sc and in game settings for rf2, am2, rennsport, acc, iracing, f1, ac, leman unlimited. Sorry for the big list. Loads of sims out there and I have most of them 😂😂
    Many thanks

    Little tip for all your lot. If you ever ask a big TH-cam channel a question sometimes when you click reply YTube will auto fill their channel name but not always. So when you ask your question do it like this
    @channel name your question
    Otherwise the content creator will not see your question unless they look through all their comment which isn't possible when they have 100s or 1000s of comments.

    Yeah I don’t understand why the esporters set the rotation for each car when acc does it automatically on PC??

  • @Yanchi_YT
    @Yanchi_YT ปีที่แล้ว +18

    Amazing video as usual! Just here to say that you no longer need to have the steering lock set specifically for every car. As long as it’s the same on your wheel and in game and larger or equal than the car’s steering lock, you’ll be fine. This has been confirmed on multiple occasions by Kunos (by Aris, on forums, etc). Just set to 900 or 1080 and you can forget about it. If you then need to fine-tune the steering sensitivity, yous should use the steering lock setting in the mechanical grip section of the car’s setup.

    • @FEVB
      @FEVB ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You still need the correct lock to simulate steering hard lock. ACC doesn't do that natively.

    Okay but this is the single most helpful video I’ve watched for improving my pace. And it’s not even from the camera settings. It’s from the steering angle. I thought every car used 900 so here I am on the Ferrari with essentially double the angle wondering why I was struggling so much on slow windy circuits.
    I’ve managed to get my nurburg time from a 2:01.5 to 1:58.1 in literally 5 laps.
    Thank you so much!

    10:19 When you see a the graphical wheel lagging behind, the input lag must be 20 ms at least and could be twice. I never had that with my 49" Samsungs using the 3rd by now apart from a little in DR2, but I saw it often enough on TH-cam and not once I saw a triple-screen setup in sync. I even saw this lag in a SRG-video once (usually he doesn't show the graphical wheel) and even in iRacing. I never had a tiple-setup also for that reason, so it's just an impression. Almost all people deactivate the graphical wheel probably for that reason, because when the wheel is in perfect sync, it doesn't annoy and getting covered perfectly by the factual wheel anyway.

      If you have an AMD card, you'll need to create a custom resolution via eyefinity tool. Check out on your c:\program files\amd\cnext\cnext\eyefinitypro.exe - in the tool create a custom resolution 3x1 layout. Then select the new resolution in your Windows display settings 7680x1440 and this will then show up in ACC as in game resolution.

      Try ffb on the wheel at 100, linear force, damping on base to 35, nfr to 3, interpolation to 3, in game dynamic damping to 100 and ffb to where you like it [mines around 70]. In game move all sliders for ffb to the far and back - theres some bug in acc and sometimes right values never kick in if the sliders arent moved. Set the wheel soft lock to what the car originally has both in acc and on base.

  • @MntRprznt
    @MntRprznt ปีที่แล้ว

    Wouldnt it be more logical to have a 100% fbb in game [this way the signal is uncompressed] and then let the wheel limit its output [lets say 50% on wheel]?

    • @Sloshy
      @Sloshy ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It's best the other way around, letting your base fully stretch it's legs in terms of power but then controlling it finely through the game as you can adjust it a lot more finely.

    • @hernanialves6938
      @hernanialves6938 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      No, totally the opposite. What you want from a wheel is dynamic range.
      The game signal is digital, which means that it's only a mathematical thing that the base will translate into power.
      Imagine an amplifier with a CD player connected to it, if you put too much gain on the CD player, you will listen the sound distorted even if you put only 10% of volume on the amplifier.
      Now if you put 10% of volume on the CD player and the amplifier to the maximum, it will not create distortion because the source signal is not high enough for the total amount of power available on the amplifier to make distortion on the speakers.
      The same principle applies with the game and base. You want a clean signal on your hands, not one with clipping.

    • @MntRprznt
      @MntRprznt ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hernanialves6938 Thank you for replying. Using your CD paralel - if the signal from CD is low and I amplify it to the max, I normally get distortions [white noise] because the amplifier will try to amplify a weak signal, so it will be amplifying noise too. But thats analog. Is it any different with digital? I honestly dont know, but even digital speakers have some buzz when nothing is being played on them.
      Second question: Can the source signal be clipping? I thought you get clipping when the hardware gets signal it cant process within its range, so it just represents anything above its max as its max.
