    The comments are right, you are an excellent teacher. This is just what I needed to get started in Inkscape. Thank you so much!

    Thank you for this, you are an excellent teacher. I have watched many tutorials on this subject from others, and it's become apparent how they just rush through without explaining in detail all the correct steps to take to achieve good results. I wish I had discovered you earlier, I now enjoy using Inkscape!💠

    Hello Lory, You know that I never get tired of seeing your clear and precise videos, so that a person like me can do something on the computer, I can gradually upload my artwork and vectorize them, thank you very much again!!!

    Thanks for the tutorial! You really helped me out. At first I tried one of those online rasterisers, but they all wanted my money and I've almost fallen for their trickery. But then I found you video and turns out Inkscape is really darn cool.

    I've been looking for this type of tutorial on the 1.0 version of Inkscape about the the trace bitmap. Had to go back to the old version just to use trace bitmap. Thanks for this awesome and informative video.

    Haha, too late for me! I wish I had come across this video before I decided to check out autotrace. My computer crashed. Twice! Because I was too dumb to realise autotrace caused it the first time. That was very informative with regards to what each tool does. Thank you!
    Edit: I vectorised my current profile picture following your tutorial, it's exactly how I wanted it, so thanks once again!

    I can’t believe it’s this easy! I’m going to try to turn my iOrnament designs into vector graphics so they can be made into stamps.

      It worked really well! I made some circular kaleidescope designs using iOrnament Crafter and they made amazing vector graphics that I then turned into brushes (stamps) for photoshop and GIMP.

    Ah Lori, one question, you can vectorize without removing the background, right?
    I mean, without converting them to PNG?
    is that there are photos that would be with the background because they are part of the composition.
    Thank you very much.

  • @NoName-bt6xd

    Also what about vectorizing the whole image (including the background)? Just do the entire thing at once? Or trace it object by object (so I have to remove the unwanted objects first and leave the wanted object and repeat that process until it's done) or what?

    You state to use the least number of scans necessary, why is this? Does it make the file really huge? I've got a watercolor image and unless I do like 30ish its missing major colors such as green for a tree against a brick background. Whats the best way to handle this? Thanks!!!

    • @ArdentDesigns
      @ArdentDesigns  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it can slow the program down on less powerful computers. Try and see what works for your needs. Only way to know :)

    I don't know what I'm doing wrong. But, when I finish the image & I wanna add it to my Wix site it tells me the image is too large.

    • @ArdentDesigns
      @ArdentDesigns  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Resize the image to something smaller. 1000 x 1000px or whatever. Then compress it in Tiny png online. It looks like Wix allows 15 mb size.

    • @ArdentDesigns
      @ArdentDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@marciamarcia7449 you can set the size to whatever you like/need. (1000x1000px for example) If uploading to a website that is your website, it is good practice to compress the image, but not necessary unless the website has a MB size requirement. (80 mb reduced to 10 mb for example). The reason for this is simple. Having thousands of images on a website over time will slow it down. (Ever visit a site that takes longer than 5 seconds to load? That is part of the problem). No, when you export as PNG it is an image. If the graphic exported as PNG at high quality, (300 dpi vs 96 dpi) it is great for print needs like print on demand. If you require vector, save as PDF, SVG. Most printers prefer PDF. POD sites use PNG at 300dpi for sharp crisp graphics.
