    It rained fairly hard the day we did that hill. It was so muddy, I almost fell several times; fortunately, never did. So beautiful. Buen Camino

    I agree with you. The best advice is remember it’s your Camino. Do what you have to do to keep safe and Injury free. We saw many people who pushed themselves to do what others thought was the right way and ended up have to go home.

      So very true...we would have been heartbroken if we would have had to finish early 😔

    Don’t over plan, absolutely the best advice guys. I also agree that climb is not too bad, but you have 600km in your legs by then, so no hills are too bad.

      Good point Grant...we hadn't put into account the previous KM's that we had done 🤣

    That was along uphill day - the whole way. If that hill was attempted on day 1 it would have been much more difficult. Mark, I love your comment about not over planning. On the sites I see sooo many people asking questions about the most insignificant things (especially equipment). As you say, just get on with it.

      Yeah, I wish that someone had said 'just get on with it' to us whilst we were planning. As you maybe aware, we returned to Santiago last week to walk to Finisterre and we literally took 15 mins to pack everything and we all said how much lighter our packs were. We did forget however how hard the last 3-4 km of the day were though 🤣

      @@EverydayJourneysTV Cool! I did not know that! That must have been awesome getting to the ocean...I am sure I will get to it on your list of videos! Were you alone this time or did you take the kids as well?

    Now that I have found your channel I look forward to it everyday. What about towels for a shower in an alburgue. Is it included in the price or do you need to pay a fee to rent a towel

    • @EverydayJourneysTV
      @EverydayJourneysTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Tim...we didn't see any options for a towel rental, we took our own towels (Megan had one of those really quick drying towels that worked well) and made sure that they were dry by morning before we had to pack them away 👍
