    Greetings from Johannesburg South Africa
My wife Frances (60) and I, Gordon (66) walked the Camino over four stages. 2015, 2017. 2018 and 2019 when we finally walked into Santiago in a thunderstorm. We would love to go back and walk it again in one journey and that is still on the bucket list.
We are loving your take on the Camino and can relate to your journey in many ways. Frances did her knee in on the walk down from Ferro de Cruz. It had been snowing and it was freezing. I suffered from shin splints in the third walk but fortunately never had blisters. Frances did and a kind Pilgrim introduced us to Hikers Wool and donated some to her. It is a lifesaver. (Louise it works. I promise..)
Covid screwed up our plans for the Cotswolds Way that we had planned for 2020 so our next walk will be the Camino Portuguese in April-May next year.
Both of us are cancer survivors. I was lucky that my prostrate cancer was diagnosed early and I did not have it as badly as you did Mark. This year a heart problem that resulted in a pacemaker and a stent has motivated me even more to do another Camino.
Mark and Louise, you guys are great, I know that you show all the good bits but I know that there are always some not so great days. 🙂. Henry, you are cool. Be your own man always. But... I special shoutout goes to Megan. My word, you are a trooper and I we just love the way you make it all look so easy. You make us laugh 🙂.Thank you.
We watch you guys every evening over a glass of wine so keep the videos coming.
Stay strong and never stop walking.
    Warm regards
    Gordon and Frances

Hey Gordon & Frances...that literally bought a tear to my eye (Mark). Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us and glad to hear that you are planning the Portuguese route early next year (we have heard it is beautiful!). I will certainly make sure that I relay your messages to Megan and Henry, that will certainly make them both blush ☺. Keep watching as we have some exciting things coming up that we haven't even yet recorded. Please let us know when you start the Portuguese next year, we would be keen to know how you get on and how you enjoy it. Buen Camino both 👣

Hahaha!! I love how Louise said "John", tried to keep a straight face, then burst out laughing (3:48-3:55) Great sense of humour🥰 Thanks for a great video and lovely camino. God bless!

One of my favourite episodes. I was sure Louise was going to guess that it was Father “Dave” that came up with the yellow arrows 😂

Reminds you of Wales....The Spanish word for Wales is Gales. The people who settled this land were Gaelic. The culture, you will find, is quite similar to the Gaelic people in Britain. In Galicia, they have something similar to the bagpipe called a gaita. When you hear the music, you would never believe you aren't in Scotland

Hey Gary...really Wales is known as Gales (I Google'd it and yep you are bang on 👍).

I like that you recommend Albergues/Pensions, where did you stay in Triacastela? The place I stayed at in 2018 was right on the street ☹️ looking to go again next spring, so did you like where you stayed? Enjoying your posts !

Nice, Ultreia y Suseia, “It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
