RIP you lovely bastard.
The games back then were complete ass and I didn't start to appreciate video games until I got my GameBoy and NES, but the fucking music he did for The Last Ninja is still ringing through the back of my skull.
Rest in peace, brother. Your music lives on.
Thanks for all the music fella... hope you're still composing, wherever you have gone to. RIP
Mere death doesn't stop someone like Ben.
Loved his work! For our generation of old school gamers he'll always have a place in our hearts!
I love this man. Brilliant composer and incredibly charismatic! I could happily watch him talking about music for hours. Very sad to lose him. My favourite tune of his was Terramex, especially the Speccy version. Wonder if he ever spoke about that tune?
Some of my favourite music is because of this guy. Thanks, Ben.
He's completely bonkers. HE would be flattered? No WE would be flattered. Ben's a genius. How come that he remains so humble? Djeez, guys like him had a tremendous influence on millions of people's musical choice. Including me.
Ben Daglish' music was crazy, literally, and I loved it, still do. True legend.
I do hope Ben is RIP. But we can all agree his music certainly never will. Its so evocative of that period in games. They did not take themselves seriously. Full of energy, fun and off the wall crazy sounds. A modest man who oozed creativity. Very glad I was of the age to enjoy a lot of this work. Right, Im off to listen to some of his stuff. Salute o7 !
Very sad to hear of his death.. seeing him coughing in this interview makes it doubly sad knowing what was to come.. His music has touched and inspired millions and is the background sound to many of our childhoods.. R.I.P.
I met him months before his death in Norway. His last showing were in Norway i think.
What a top man. Rest in peace mate, legend!
RIP and thank you starting my lifetime love of electronic music
I love his music in Krakout. Amazing...

Jean-Michel Jarre, Dragonforce. This dude knew his musical genres!
RIP Ben. Will always love ya music :)
The Last Ninja, Monty on the run, Star Paws, Commando... he literally helped define my generation.
Radical Rad except he did not make any of them except Last ninja. Rob did.
Yeah This comment is nuts! How can you have such high praise for a man when you don't even seem to know any of his tunes! :D
Ben Daglish. Hero.
RIP, my musical mentor, my childhood-idol and the reason why I never - no matter how many games I sold out in the past 20 years or how much I'd have needed the bucks - got rid of my Last Ninja boxes...
Got mine framed on the wall of the studio man :)
The first C64 game that I ever brought was Thing Bounces back on the C64 in Woolworths in Watford. It cost me £2.99 or something. Crap game.. awsome music. Thanks Ben Daglish. You're a legend!
This is the definitive JMJ equinoxe 5 I don't care what you all say RIP legend

325 counts to load Pitstop II
Ben is a perfect example of an immortal artist. He has been looking dead for last three decades and still lives :)
He's like Keith Richards :]
his spirit is still in my speakers
This comment hasn't aged well.
It is a shame Ben did not go to hell, he would have cheered up the place! RIP? Naaah, have fun Ben , wherever you are! What a jolly and intelligent nutcase, one of the few C64 composers that I would really have liked to meet in person. On the other hand , his music is a imprint of him still living on, so anybody can luckily still "meet" this great guy!
Rip
r.i.p.
He´s with Elvis now. And Lemmy.
Ha, thanks so much =D
RIP
He's like the Billy Mack of c64 land 😂😂
Good Musican. Best Song was from "Trap" (We Music)
A tip of the cap, sir.
Where is that intro tune from, the one he plays on the keyboard?
Equinoxe V a.k.a. Loco.
ah, cheers! :)
Great synth in the start but no match for SID (close though!)
I have The tunes in my mind 😊 🙏 r.i.p. a legend....better than Elvis for me as a Amiga player 😂😢😊

That's some smoker's sough. :(
Unfortunately that lung cancer killed him :( We didn't know at the time he'd been diagnosed.
