Off the back of this video, I reached out to Zed to do some remote coding on my 8 series......amazing job! Assisted View now available on my idrive. Thanks to both of you for the video and service👍
Not sure if Zed charges for coding your vehicle, but you can also do the coding yourself.. you will need an obd adapter, the bimmercode app and a search on the bimmerpost forum 👍
Cool! Is the video recording function possible to activate? ( it records the last 10 seconds of travel). I’ve seen some american versions have it but mine in Europe doesn’t.. Tks
Hi. My 320i G20 has just been coded (Inspired by you :))But sport plus i missing in steeeing option and suspension option. Only in transmission and engine is it avilible. Further more it doesnt seem to activate the dynamic tractioncontrol mode, as it did in my F30. Is it the same with yours ? Or did we overlook something? By the way I had the lattest march2020 software for the steering updated and there is a huge possitive difference. The deadzone of the wheel is much better, speciel in windy conditions. Thx in advance for answer, and keep up the good work posting theese videos.
@@DownShiftThrottle Yes it's a pretty good list. I have the driving assistance plus package on my car and wanted to know if he could do the assisted driving view like they have in the US. Drive recorder looks useful too although I already have a dashcam.
Yes this is possible....I'm speaking on behalf of Zed. I didn't do the rear DRL on my G20 but had them on my M140i and currently codeded on my M4. Yes the door lights are also coded in reverse
@@tonyquaz6382 main thing is getting the car for the price you're happy to pay. Theres a good few deals about on new cars with big discounts and contributions. You should check out my Finance Explained vid on the channel if you need guidance.....👍🏽
Hey I have a question does a F30 320d have an exhaust flap reason why I'm asking is because sometimes my exhaust becomes quite loud and sometimes it goes pretty quiet. I have a muffler delete which makes the car sound really good
Best way is to look inside the tailpipe obviously when the car is stationary. You will be able to see if it has a flap. I highly doubt though. You might have a blowing exhaust.....
Thanks for responding.. it's really awkward how it works and it does not operate consistently like exhaust valves would. I did the muffler delete and added a Y pipe.. so u have dual pipes 335 style. Being add diesel my exhaust is usually silent however if I rev the car hard enough and depress the pedal to the bottom it seems to activate a louder sound and you notice it. Its not consistent. I'm puzzled.
Usually the flap would work under hard acceleration....or when you're in sports mode. Your exhaust mod perhaps has messed up the operation of it though.....hence why its inconsistent
Will this affect your warranty and insurance? Also, can you unlock features like side mirrors go down when reversing and comeback to normal position when change to D ?? I have 320i M sport with technology pack
These features are already part of the car and hidden. The car is not being modified so warranty and insurance are not affected. The mirror will dip if you put the mirror control selector to the drivers side and then put the car in reverse.
DownShift Throttle gotta be careful as BMW have voiced warranty for some cars recently as the guy had coded the car. He had coded features like door handle lights on in reverse, and stop start off. And BMW voided his warranty as he went in for a repair to his engine or gearbox I think. Totally unrelated but BMW able to void the warranty :/
@@SunnySingh-fd8wn That is unlawfull and he has a good case for a lawsuit. They can only void warranty if they can prove that the changes he made, was the cause of any damage. They cant prove it ;) So he should take it to court for sure.
Vas Yan but the problem is the terms and conditions of the warranty which state *any modification* voids the warranty. It could go to court to be argued but I don’t think a person up against BMW has much chance at court. They’d do what they can to avoid a £10-20k cost 🙄
I coded my old M140, the car went back to BMW for some warranty work and they knew it was different to the spec from the factory. They also asked me directly if the car had been altered or coded using a mobile phone application or laptop. I played it dumb but they were going down the route of the car has been messed with so warranty is void. Like all modifications you take the chance.
@@jonathanpress4690 I guess it's a case by case basis.....I've had all my BMW's coded....not increase in power but just coding using esys (BMW's system) no issues with warranty.
@@DownShiftThrottle Esys was the system I used. The problem with the car was related to the sat nav failing on an update and then getting stuck trying to boot. This may be why they were looking at the onboard systems. They did fix it under warranty but after that I never bothered with the coding again. I have an M340 now and to be honest there is not much to code now which is kinda what you said in the video. That said I did consider the M or Alpina gauges but it turns out that my old Vgate adapter is no longer compatible. Keep up the good work.
Hmmmm. I'm glad though on the G series cars a lot of the features that we coded on the F series cars are now standard. That said though you know as well as I do that coding only unlocks features that are already installed on the cars software....
Salam bro can the remote engine start using the key fob be unlocked that’s the number one thing I want to know on the 2019 BMW G20 M340i & I know it can be unlocked by BMW by purchasing it from them but can it be done without them by coding or programming
Trying to get sport plus and comfort plus on my g20 330i Canada version, just can’t find the option in esys. Also does anyone know how can we get comfort access in g20 which is the one when you turn off your car you seat move back for you to go out? Thanks
That's true....I found that the options for the G20 on Bimmercode were far less than those on the F series cars perhaps because as I said some features are now already standard on the G series cars.
Dont ever use Alpina or M-display in a "regular" G20. Cause its just not one of those. M-owners noramaly hates when people are trying to make their cars something they aren't. Its kinda like when they put M-badges all over a non-M-car. I myself have a 330e 2020 m-sport, but sometimes I cringe over all the "m-badging". 😅
I get the point with the M display in a regular G20 as it says "M" on it. However, the Alpina dials have no logo at all so I think thats completely fine. Looks much better than the regular dials too
I agree with this lad BMW just lost the plot there, back in the day M badges were a no go area unless you had the moola to delve. Today there are more M badges than there is sea sand...
To be honest....it doesn't bother me as I've got the M4. I guess it bothers some M owners more. For instance I saw a 430d today with a M badge infront of the 430d badge....I know that would kill some people.....but who cares....

Amazing what this guy can do! Brilliant video again mate 👍
Thanks mate. Unlocking few more driving modes which actually make a difference was nice.

Is this coding possible in the indian 330i M sport.

So does sport plus make any difference? Or is it just there for looks? (Since it doesnt really have it originally)

I use on my G20 short time alpina, but on end I back to original... 🤷🏻♂️
Hahah....I guess that novelty wears off pretty soon.
The M gauges look so cool !😱
They do indeed. I've reverted back to stock dials because the M dials were not colourful enough.
Great video mate. I contacted Zed on what he can do on my G20 and it's quite a list!
