those test footages look horrible for a $500 dashcam... is there a raw footage somewhere?
Good cam …… When it works! First cam failed after a few months and had to do a warranty claim and exchange for a new one. Now about 8 months later the second cam has failed. I live in Europe so doing a warranty and RMD is difficult and much more expensive for me as I have them mail it to family in California and they mail it to me in EU. Great company but I’ll be switching back to THINKWARE brand as that one is 2 years old and has NEVER once had a hiccup! Two failed Blackvue cams, do not recommend.
To be honest I am very disappointed. The fact the image quality still isn't on par with the Thinkware and VIOFO brands is pathetic. Sure you get cloud features and LTE capability but I can't commit to a camera that is brand new and doesn't push a new camera sensor.

Do you have any reviews or suggestions for a four camera solution? Front back and both sides to give a better coverage for vans, rv etc?

So if I add the LTE function I have to run the wire up to the camera? I have the battery back up but didn't know I could add LTE. Need to talk to my installer. My 2020 AMG GTR is pretty sensitive electronically and I don't want to stick wiring in on my own
Also the current BlendMount mirror mount for the DR900s will not work for the DR900x... but did hear they will be releasing an updated version soon.

So... What does everyone do about mounting these in the hot Florida Sun? Instruction say don't park in direct sunlight lol How do you keep yours from overheating or falling off the windshield? I use a sun shade daily. I know if I put up the sun shade and leave this in my window all day, the sun will turn it to liquid..... What do you do?
The other new feature (not mentioned in the video) is the updated WiFi. I would buy the DR750X or DR900X mostly for this reason, because WiFi in the DR750S is very unreliable.
Those ventilation holes on the X series look BLOCKED to me. I can't confirm since I don't have one ... yet.
Any owner of this particular (900x) model can confirm it please to help us decide ?

Hi Ahmad, you're not wrong to say that they look blocked. They definitely look blocked to us as well, but we've been assured by BlackVue that they are extra holes meant for ventilation. We have some videos planned in the future where we will physically break down the dash cams just to see what the interior looks like, but do keep it on the down low for now 🤫

I'm confused. What if you don't want to use the cloud service...can you still review video on your phone...and are videos still saved to the SD card on the device?
Or are you forced to use the cloud service to manage your footage?
Nope, Cloud is completely optional. Footage is saved onto the microSD card at all times, and you can access it via the microSD card in a computer or through the regular Wifi feature (via smartphone app).
Will hardwiring without the extra battery work with the the 750X or 900X on the Lexus UX250H being a hybrid? I read that the upper voltage cut off for this camera is 12.5V which should not kill the auxiliary battery (but not sure how long it'll last on parking mode).
Hi Tsuska, it should be okay, but just don't expect your parking mode to last more than 8-10 hours. You can try this method first, then add a dash cam battery into your configuration after.
Do you absolutely need a SIM card with data, or can I use a t-mobile WiFi hotspot?
Could I just plug into my old model wiring with out changing the hard wiring for the new model ✌️🇨🇦
Hey G K, unfortunately the hardwiring cable is entirely new for the BlackVue X-Series. Wiring will have to be redone.
Nope. Isn’t that a total joke? Why would you want to change? There are zero benefits to the new one over the old one.
Hi Brett, the PMP was required previously for voltage monitoring, but with the new hardwiring kit, that is built-in to the device itself.

Will the DR900X have the capability to live stream back to terrestrial based social media? And, what are the zero G, and subzero storage temperature ratings of the DR900X?

This is awesome. However, We need to challenge you guys to get a 4ch or 5ch dashcam. You’ve guys have done great with front and rear quality. Let’s step it up for those side view Dashcams too, like the Tesla’s have. Streamline to the side mirrors, waterproof, at least 2k video and 180 view per side.
What happens if someone steals this out of your car..... Do Blackvue provide any security..... ie is it useless if it's stolen.
If you have the Cloud function enabled, you'll likely receive real-time notification of the break-in.
Does anyone know if X series LTE Module can use the freedompop sim card that relies on the At&t network. Waiting to buy it until I figure out the answer, pre-ordered the DR900X though.

The LTE module is absolutely huge, bigger than one of those old 1990's modems and they expect you to stick it in your front windshield...... Returned it as soon as I took it out of the box.

Can Dual Dash cam 360 degree be installed to the wind screen Vertical instead of Horizontal ??????????? So that it can rotate and cover outside the Front Doors and record ...as well as inside the room like Uber & Trancend Dash Cam Pro 550 Cylinderical vertical rotates 180 Degree to capture driver side door and inside room too ??
Hi Tank, can you define "vertical"? I believe what you mean is installing an interior dash cam so it faces inwards, and there are dual channel dash cams that do that (Look for IR dash cams). That is absolutely possible.
Is there a 4K dash cam at 60fps coming out in 2 years? Right now the Thinkware and Viofo 4K dash cams are the ones to get video performance. Blackvue is still great for parking mode, but lags behind the other two companies for reading license plates.
Not that we know of yet but I am sure something is being worked on! We will keep an eye out for sure!

Can the X series be configured to connect to WiFi hotspot? Say you are in your garage with home WiFi coverage so the camera connect to Cloud instead of the LTE module.

If I use this dash cam with the external battery in Parking Mode, will it continuously record everything, will it loop, or only record after a motion sense?
It depends what setting you select. If you want continuous recording use time-lapse mode, otherwise motion and impact detection will just record at those specific times.

I'm getting this once I get my brand new 2022 car
I bought one of these from you guys. I went to install the hardwire kit and the fuse box was too deep for the fuse taps I bought. My truck has a 12v port that has power even when the vehicle is turned off. Can I use the parking mode with my 12v wire if it always has power?

Not worth the $$$ for a 4K dash cam and can’t see the license plates....might need a 8K dash cam at 60fps .....

Does this camera offer audio? If I am pulled over by law enforcement, can the verbal exchange be heard?
Hi Shel, yes - audio can be recorded. You can also turn it off in the settings if you don't want it to record your conversations.
Can i catch the person who is vandalizing my vehicle each night if i set up cloud?
You will have to set up parking mode in order to record what is happening to your car whilst parked

The audio on DR900X is one of the best audio for dashcams! No static nor is it choppy. A good option if audio is important for you.

Hey Graeme, unfortunately, we're only specifically selling the NA version of the LTE Module on our website. You can still purchase the BlackVue DR900X dash cam on our website, but if you're interested in the UK version of the LTE module, you will have to purchase it from BlackVue.
Hi, Great video. Few questions (1) Is the external battery pack B124X safe in hot temperatures during summer ? (2) External LTE module- how do you keep it powered during parking mode ? (3) Can I use my car wifi instead of LTE module ? Will that work in Parking mode ?
Yes, all these dash cam accessories and parts are meant to work without issue in high temperatures. The LTE module receives power from the dash cam, so as long as your dash cam has power then the LTE module will remain on. The OEM vehicle Wifi may not always work, unfortunately, we've seen limited success.

When I connect camera to PC using USB cable, I don't see any option to transfer videos nor powering option. I was able to connect my iPAD to camera (wifi) only when camera was powered in car using lighter outlet. Any way I can do video transfer by bringing camera inside home to my iPAD ? I know SD card transfer option for PC. I am asking transferring videos from camera to iPAD inside home (not in car)

Hi Frank, Do you have a CPL filter attached to the camera? If not maybe try using one and it should reduce the glare significantly.

If your car already has built in wifi you can connect that to your dashcam!

Hi Marco, as Videotron is an MVNO of Rogers, it should work on the Rogers Network.
BlackboxMyCar yeah! Days ago I got VIDEOTRON’s SIM card hoping it would work. It does. But it’s not because it’s associate with Rogers since the beginning. 8 years ago I had an unlocked mifi but VIDEOTRON was the only one that didn’t work with. They were with Rogers then. That means the dashcam would have not working with VIDEOTRON then. I’m happy that things changed so we can have the choice to choose our carrier.

BlackboxMyCar Can’t put it up in the car right now. My installer canceled because he’s sick. But it seem to work fine with my Power Magic EZ so I don’t need to hardwire it with the Power Magic Pro. However, I did not let it plugged for many hours to see if it will stop at 12.5 Volts. Keep you posted.
Too bad there are no LTE module for my 900S-2ch. I have installed a 40mm motor heat sink on the 900S to reduce heat on the dashcam.

It just snaps on the dashcam body. The size is 40 mm length x 40 mm diameter. I would recommend to put a thin coat of silicone grease so it won’t scratch the black dashcam paint.
