The truth of the life, the sacrifice and joyous abandon of the life on the road Sierra and her band have chosen! Profound, playful, celebrating the price to be paid, the essence of funky "blues" at the heart of bluegrass. Brilliant choice of song!
Boy this one deserves more attention. Sierra is on fire. Awesome growl. Looks like fiddler knows its coming...big grin just before. I am singlehandedly bringing up the view count.
It is annoying when some folks chat on while an artist and band are pouring their souls into a song but there were plenty there that were whooping her and them on. She was on fire. Tremendous job. I think she and the band felt the enthusiasm and energy. They were all smiles. Wish I could have been there. Fantastic group and what can you say about her that hasn’t been said already. What the heck is the matter with the music “industry”.
Nice version. However, this video is titled incorrectly. Although Flatt & Scruggs recorded it (as did more than 40 artists including Dwight Yoakam) this song is written by Joe and Rose Lee Maphis, legends in country and the Bakersfield Sound.
Wow, what a unique and uber-talented young lady and band! She's so distinctive, and sings her ass off despite the nose ring! The fiddle player can fiddle with me any time. : )
This is my favorite combination of musicisns with Sierra.
Thanks to Sierra and her talented band these old tunes are being rediscovered by a whole new generation!

Oh boy I'm glad I clicked this one! 🥰

I Love this Shit Tom.
I first heard this song forty eight years ago.I keep returning to this clip because it's the best cover ever.Love you Sierra
Written by the great Joe and Rose Lee Maphis! We just lost Rose recently at the ripe old age of 98!
Thank you Sharon for the history!😊
The New Riders Of The Purple Sage introduced me to this song.
Thank you for catching that. It was recorded by Flatt & Scruggs and many others, it was written by Joe Maphis and wife Rose Lee in 1953.
@@MrGreglarry Yep, the Maphises deserve the credit and attention for this great song.
Heard that version on outlaw country today! The best ever original.
Sierra and crew bringing the house down!!! Love it.
They were rockin it out! Great version!

How are people carrying on stupid meaningless conversation while this group of fine performers are putting on such a great show
Cuz they're young and thoughtless.
Is there nothing this Angel cannot sing? Saw her her England 27 June, insanely talented
It's so good, I see tears in my Beer.....
Sierra is on fire!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Need more of this ❤️
Excellent. 👍
Sierra has a voice like none other. Josie is simply adorable (and talented).
Okay. I've watched this 6 times in the last two hours!
So have I. Two more Brandy's & Arizonia Ice Tea's to go please.
THANK you - I've been looking for a more recent video of Sierra singing that song with Josie and Josh on this tour!
and here is an April 6 version of it:th-cam.com/video/uT8HWH9u0rw/w-d-xo.html

Would love to hear her duet with Billy strings on some blue grass

Actually a Joe and Rose Maphis tune.

Who is Josie?
@josierigatoni, the fiddle player
Mr Ambrose, do your research! Joe & Rose Mathis not, not, Flatt & scruggs
Lester and Earl never sounded that good! This band did a great job on that cover!
They were better. Classic.
Sierra is short lol
A bit Dwight here
Not even karaoke
Dwight does it best
Haha. You must be a diehard Dwight fan ‘cause his version doesn’t even come close to this. 😌
