There used to be a tram to bondi but Sydney decided that busses were the future so they ripped up all the lines. The tram to bondi went down that super steep hill into bondi and inspired a classic Australian saying "to shoot through like a bondi tram". It'd be good to have the tram in this series fly down one of the steep hills with a comically fast speed limit to pay homage to an old Sydney favorite
Since you’ve made AFL the sport the city’s team should be called the Dundee Geese as a bit of a parody on the Sydney swans My votes for bindi beach and definitely somewhere named Irwin
I feel like there's some space to do a hidden small village with a gorgeous beach like what we have in so many places in Brazil. It kinda doesnt fit the australian/newzealand theme, though.
Such a bloody awesome effort speaking up about men’s health! We need more people speaking out, being positive and encouraging men to look after themselves and their health. Thank you 🙏 🙌
Love that you’re creating awareness about men’s health issues. I just got operated last month at 26 years old for testicular cancer. I wish I would’ve taken my health more seriously and gone for more regular visit prior to the discovery of my tumour. Boys do your due diligence and see your doctor once a year. Be safe everyone!
This city is growing to become a wonderful thing, man. Passes any and every expectation and I set them hiiigh. Beyond impressive. Thank you for providing us with this pleasure, man! King!
Great message at the beginning of the vid, man. I just had my first physical in SEVERAL years myself, including bloodwork. Taking care of yourself is an important message that too many of us just don't commit to. Good luck on all the running!
Since the word "Bondi" is derived from the aboriginal word "Boondi" meaning surf in English, possibly an alternative name could be "Bombora" meaning waves when translated to English from aboriginal. I think the name flows well and would suit the vibes. Loving the series keep it up!!
Let’s hope Dundees trams don’t develop cracks and have to be taken out of service for 18 months…… Anyhow! A suggestion could be to develop a circular garden city suburb somewhere in Dundee, similar to Canberra. Could be the government district with a parliamentary triangle. There’s a great asset of the NZ Beehive on the workshop that could be used in the area as well to throw in some more kiwi references.
I’ve never played this game and i don’t watch any other youtuber about it. I can’t actually remember how and why i came accross your channel. But your voice is very soothing and watching you building those cities with passion just made some of my darkest days easier. I’m okay now. I just wanted to come back and tell thank you. Thank you.
Amazing. Beach needs towels. Also that corner brick building u made, we need some nice graffiti art on there with vines. :) Edit: Forgot Time Stamp. 20:55
Hey, quick idea: I think you should add a race track. I watched a video about some dude that made one a while ago and it looked really neat. Idk if you’ll ever do it but it is a unique idea I think. It would also kind of fit with the Australia theme, since Melbourne has an F1 track.
Hey I was the one that suggested Bindi Beach two episodes ago. I was picturing Bindi Irwin but also those stupid sharp grass seeds that get lodged in your foot
As a British tourist, I would definitely agree Coogee beach is much nicer, although the murals at Bondi are nice to see if you've never been, and the walking path where they have the sculpture displays each year is nice, I liked Manly too, different vibe down there. My sister use to live in Coogee, she's now in Adelaide. Unfortunately I've resigned myself to being unable to ever visit again, the way it is down there now, I'd probably be arrested at the airport for not conforming haha, but that's an entirely different matter.
I like the idea of naming places after native trees, flowers or animals. From Australia: Wobbegong and Currawong are both native animals, Mulga is a native tree, Purinina is the name created from what is know of the First Languages of Tasmania for the Tasmanian Devil, Alectura is the scientific name for the Australian brush turkey, Euca Beach short for Eucalyptus, Banksia would be a great name for a financial district. From New Zealand: Wharariki and Manuka are native plants, Ponga is the Maori word for the silver fern, Tarapuka is the Maori word for a sea gull. And there are plenty of other places in the real Oceania inspiration could be pulled from. I'm sure plenty of people would offer up their knowledge of flora, fauna, and First Languages, if this theme was followed for naming places.
I dont know if it is true in other countries but in the UK, it better to go to the beach nearer smaller towns, they are usually quieter and have better (non chain) restaurants nearby
I know it's very late, but I have to comment on 11:50. It's not true that the game wants loops. There are very few tram networks in the world which work in bidirectional, push-pull arrangements like trains. Most tram networks, especially ones that are older than 20 or so years, have unidirectional trams yet linear, A-B-A lines with little turning loops at both ends. It's not a game quirk, it's just realistic.
Maybe that's what it's like wherever you are from, but in Australia where this channel is from, loops or unidirectional tram lines are very rare. As far as I know the only one in Australia is central grand concourse loops in sydney
First of all; Love this series and this channel. I'm fascinated by city planning and you've brought some incredible cities to life. I also love Aussie culture, so jealous of you all haha. Obviously a massive part of that is the sport. Quick suggestion is to maybe bring in more smaller stadiums dotted on the edge of some suburbs. There are at least 10 NRL stadiums in Sydney alone that represent a whole number of communities. Maybe something like WIN Stadium or Leichardt Oval that have a large grassy hill that people sit on instead of a stand. Sunbathing with a beer, watching the footy. Incredibly Australian. P.S. Good work with raising awareness on mental health, we all need to talk about what we're going through. All the best from Yorkshire x
I always found it curious how the trams in C:S work, too. But the more I think about the (European) cities with tram networks I have been to so far, actually all of them had those balloon loops at the ends of their lines. Of course most modern trams can be operated bi-directionally. But just turning around in the loop is way quicker. So I don't think it is unrealistic at all to have those. I agree that it looks silly having trams going in full loops around the city, though. Don't know if that even exists anywhere in the world.
I think u should name the beach The Praia, beach in Portuguese (due to the large Portuguese community present in the area) and the neighborhood surrounding the beach St. Marie, Dundee’s patron (but it is referred colloquially as Surfers Heaven). While the second beach should be called Fisherman’s Beach, in commemoration of Morgan Scott, a local fisherman who saved his life saving two children caught in a riptide. His ghost is said to miraculously save other lives. That neighborhood should be called Morgansea.
I'd love to see a thing that I only really see in Australian cities: racetracks in public parks and/or streets. Some reasons and inspiration: -Albert Park in Melbourne, where the Formula One Australian Grand Prix takes place; -Adelaide, which is one of the most missed circuits on the international level but still very prominent in the Australian Supercars Championship; -Sandown, also a staple on the Supercars Championship -Townsville Street Circuit, A relatively new park/street circuit in Townsville It'd be awesome to see something like this recreated, but it might be difficult to pull of in C:S...
Does anyone know how you can use prop the crowd and spawn animals properly. I'm not getting any people when placing the same asset down. Please help me out, thanks in advance!
You could've deisnged a wilder beach area for the 2nd one, like put some kind of park between the neighborhood and the beach, or a forest, parking and a picnic area.
For land value I also use a trick: I make a district for the rich area and I add the policy of higher taxes for housed and businesses but I add the high tech houses and incentives for businesses and land values and policites are right for the rich district. For the poorer, lower income district I make the district and add the policies of Lower taxes for residential and businesses, so like this the district can be a little more different and "realistic" if we can call it like that
I think the green space at around 22:20 could be made into something like North Head. There is an old quarantine station there where incoming ships would quarantine before coming into Sydney. Maybe you could build something similar!

Coogee? It comes from the local Aboriginal name for the area, Kuja, meaning bad smell or stinky place. So be sure to visit Stinky Beach if you are ever in Sydney.
