I always knew I saw things a little different than everyone else and I think my most recent purchase proves it. I couldn't pass up a good deal and bought a DJI Osmo Action 2, even though it's had some very mixed reviews. Just bought 2 of them today for somthing most people wouldnt use them for but I bought them for the 1080p 240fps I play alot of golf and have a simulator these cameras are great for reveiwing your swing face on and down the line cane even take one out on the course on the dji tripod and record down the line shots and send them to my coach for reveiw. it was just an idea wondered if it would work and it works wonderful. I began watching your video at 2am... then you did what so many people do on video and photography channels and blasted out your music. I had to turn the volume down so much I can no longer hear your voice and as there is every chance you will insert your music again I have had to stop watching your video before your music wakes the house up.
It puts me off watching TH-cam late at night altogether.

@@lowdefmedia6150 I got it on christmas sale with the screen module around the same time you did. It is a fun little camera that is NOT action 🙂 I use it heavily for vlog in combination with the GO2 and I absolutely love it. I also got the bluetooth remote and the mini tripod, it is a blast with the dji mic
I had 2 Action 2 until I lost 1 of them. 😢. I bought an Action 3 but returned it to B&h as the cam AF wasn’t sharp. Now I’m looking at the Pocket 2. Great video.
Thanks for commenting. I've heard that a new firmware update has helped with the sharpness on the Action 3. Let me know which camera you end up getting.
get the pocket2 creator combo, you won’t regret it
@Low Def Media Firmware can not fix the issue with the A3 because it is a hardware issue not a firmware issue. Went through 3 of them and just said the heck with it. The A2 works great been using it for about a year. I have the pocket 2 since it came out hardly used it but have been using it more lately. Used the money I got from the A3 return and bought the single transmitter DJI mic. Works great.

Only thing ı dont like about dji2 is 2.screen , because when u record something other than selfie it’s useless! Also recording something in public might be creepy, you can bother some people tho so I returned it
To hook up a mic buy a USB c to TRS female 3.5 mm. Will work fine
Great share; just slapped my Action 2 on a hockey puck yesterday, camera alone, no screen/power module. First posted edit seemed pretty good. Sound was amazing...
6:16 stabilized and audio sounded good! Tripod framing better but still decent (without hand in way) just hand held.
The GoPro comparison would be against the old Session 5.... more so FPV drone flights.
Action 2 is a good camera, never bought it just because it was not for me. But I loved the first Osmo Action and I love my new Osmo Action 3.

Great video mate, like you I have only just bought this camera, having used GoPro’s for 6 years and never being pleased with either the functionality or the finished images, I finally sold them late last year. In truth it was before the Hero 11 was released and I originally thought I would buy a couple but I was unimpressed with the reviews so held off.
My son used the old GoPro session 5 ( the small box one ) and so this made some sense to both of us. We have now purchased a couple and the video image is very good without the saturated look of a GoPro.

I've been a die hard GoPro guy for years but it never hurts to have a little variety in your camera bag. The Action 2 is just so easy to carry I've never had an issue with it locking up or losing my footage. Let's hope it stays that way. Still have my GoPro 7 and 10 and use them a fair amount as well. Thanks for the video, I'm thinking of buying this camera and it has been a great help. I have questions regarding storage. How big is a minute of video in 2.7k 60p and 4k 60p? and at 24p/30p?
I have seen many reviews and no one provides this information. They bring a lot of hate O_o They talk about the battery life recording at 4k 120p Oh wait! I want to record at 2.7k at 30p or 60p With screen off while recording, wifi off and stabilization off (I can use gyroflow in postpro to stabilize) In that case how much battery life does it have? Nobody comments...they only throw hate.
I want to use it in fpv drones so I won't have overheating problems, really I'm almost convinced to buy it. The other option is a naked gopro, perhaps more fragile than this...
Not exactly sure but I can tell you that one of my 1 minute videos at 4k/30fps was approx 790MB. So, 1 minute at 2.7k would be smaller and at 4k/60p would be slightly larger. (Hope that's right)

Dude @ 0:52 you call the DJI Action 2 the "DJI OSMO Pocket 2 !" First, please get the name of the device correct. It is a DJI Action 2 you are holding up. @ 1:05 you introduce more disinformation by calling the OSMO Pocket 1 similar to the Action 2. These cameras are fundamentally very different in three basic ways. I also own both cameras, and have used both extensively, and I can tell you without question in my mind the Action 2 has a better lens, larger sensor, and capable of outputting Time-Lapse movies in 2.7 and 4K Ultra HD), while the original OSMO Pocket is only capable of TL Movie output in 1080p. These are differences you can plainly see. @ 12:08 You are wrong again ! Please do your research before posting on your channel. Stop giving out disinformation about this camera. It's way better than what you're giving it credit for. The DJI Mic adapter (Which was designed for the Original OSMO Action) is not pin wired for the USB input of the DJI Action 2. There is an excellent low cost Mic and Headphone adapter available on Amazon Canada for $16.99 CAD which works perfectly with the Action 2 - www.amazon.ca/dp/B08FDLBYYJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 . I have tested this Mic and Wired Headphone adapter 1/8 inch TRS to USB-C interface, and it's an incredibly quiet adapter. There's no background hum or noise whatsoever with the DJI Action 2 camera USB -C input on the lower battery power module I tested. The manufacturer and model is called "LecLooc," and also works amazingly with my Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone. 👌There are so many, many, many hidden features inside the DJI Action 2 it's like some kind of a spy camera ! Did you know you don't have to use special or recommended MicroUSB recording media. You can use ANY MicroUSB recording media, no matter how slow ! What do I mean ? Simple. Do all your recording onto the built in 22 GB storage, and once that is full, you simply choose the option of copying over the existing footage onto the MicroUSB media. You do not need to have any speedy fast media, since all you are doing is a simple "copy" operation. With the GoPro HERO 8,9, 10, 11 and DJI OSMO Pocket 1 & 2, you better have the right MicroUSB media inserted in the camera, or you're not shooting anything, but with the Action 2 you can simply copy over from the internal cube camera storage directly via the lower power unit's USB-C connection directly to your editing timeline.
