I love the honesty. You are very open about your faults. Accepting your faults is the first sign of a grown man. A man who is willing to learn from his mistakes.

How absolutely abhorrent and disgusting, yet even more proof of why American society can never be fixed, you people don’t even know what you believe in

Although it is virtuous to adopt Christianity in order to become a better person, it goes beyond simply reaping the rewards of good deeds. What I feel wasn’t discussed in this conversation is that Christianity isn’t simply the act of becoming a better person, it is the act of developing a direct relationship with God and Jesus Christ and wishing to serve and glorify Him in everything you do. The Bible makes it clear that works aren’t what get you to heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 - “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” God wishes for us to glorify Him and rejoice in our salvation, that through our faith in Him we have received everlasting life.

We said …. Uncompromising… we are not called to compromise. We are not allowed to ride the fence Revelation 3:15-16 I know all the things you do, but you are neither hot nor cold… I wish that you were one or the other! I sent you are lukewarm water, neither hot, nor cold. I will spit you out of my mouth.

Thank you. I’m glad someone said this. Jesus is the only way to heaven it doesn’t matter how good of a life you live or how many good deeds you’ve done. We have all still sinned

You are absolutely right, Christianity is no about 10 steps to be a better man. It is simply about having a relationship with God. Most don't understand that they are sinful, and in need of redemption through Christ alone.

It's so hard to find good info on this subject of stoicism and Christianity

You can’t mix pagan philosophies with Christianity and expect it to go well bruh 😂 that’s why there are almost no real Christian’s in America the only real Christians are those of the Orthodox Church and they’re very few in the West

    Joy is a choice
    Happiness is just a reaction
    Choose Joy
    James 1:2-5
2 ¶ Count it all joy, my brothers,fn when you meet trials of various kinds,
3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 ¶ If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

Just start attending and look for one that is Bible based.

@@joshuatrott193 the only church that’s truly bible based is the Orthodox Church, all this Protestant crap is just liberalism and enlightenment ideas with a slight biblical and Christian flavouring

@@Saber23 I agree that many protestant Churches are far off from. I don't buy into Only Orthodox or Catholic are the only churches rooted in the Bible. Anglican, Coptic, and some others all have Apostolic succession as well. Ultimately finding a decent Church is better than not attending one at all. Finding one where the word is preached and lived out is a good start

    • @Saber23
      @Saber23 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@joshuatrott193 why exactly don’t you buy into it? First of all Anglicanism is just a branch of the Protestant church which came about after England broke off from the Catholic Church and the Catholics are just as misguided as the protestants, it should be obvious by the Pope’s behaviour that Papal infallibility isn’t a true concept that’s why I didn’t mention Catholicism, and the Coptic church is a branch of the Orthodox Church, (I would know I’m from Lebanon) but look ultimately speaking I’m not saying don’t attend a church in your area at all but what I am saying is that if you want the most traditional and canonical Christianity, it’s going to be found in the Orthodox Church plus you can create your own shrine and prayer space at home where you can study with your family

@@Saber23do not go to an Orthodox Church. Go to a non denominational, Christian church. They are strictly Bible and only what the Bible teaches

i dont see stoicism in contrast to a christian lifestyle. Stoicism is just focused on right living on earth, christianity gives the context to afterlife and why you should care to live right in the first place.

This guy doesn’t make any sense. He talks about Christianity while taking about evolution. And then says getting into heaven means being a good person which anyone who is a Christian knows that’s not how you get into heaven.

So narrow. Most of our western culture has done all your wise things. Stop applying your wisdom to marriage. Marriage is dead in America.
