  • Practice eating with your full awareness in this 10 minute mindful eating meditation.
Mindful eating means eating consciously and consists of knowing perfectly the characteristics of what we are about to eat, while enjoying the experience of food with all our senses and consequently have a more authentic and healthy relationship with food.

Not gonna lie, I found it quite challenging to look at the fajita wrap in my hand for 5 minutes without taking a bite. It made a big difference though. Usually I eat so fast that by the end of the meal I look for something else to eat because my fullness sensation is yet to kick in. Thank you for this meditation!

I have been doing this meditation for about a month on a daily basis and it has greatly increased my appreciation for the food I am fortunate to be eating every day. Mindful eating is a pleasant way of practicing mindfulness and it has led me to be more observant of other behaviors I want to regulate.
Enjoy your food if you read this :--)
10 months later and I have been most consistent with doing this meditation than any other mindfulness practice!

I am mind blown how much this changes my experince with the food and its taste. It’s like I am eating things for the first time. Some things I thought I liked, when eaten mindfully have flavours I don’t quite like. For example the cream filling in Boston Creme Dunkin donut is unpleasantly bitter and bourbony when I allow it to rest on my tongue (not sure if that’s this batch, or if that’s thing with all of them). On the other hand, fried eggs with bread which I always liked, I now find mindblowingly delicious. I experience pure bliss eating them.
Biggest surprise was popcorn. When I eat it mindfully it’s quite unpleasant. It’s like salty little pieces of sharp flaky soggy cardboard when the initial fun crunch is over. It only ‘works’ for me when eaten mindlessly with a movie.
Also I have been able for the first time notice when I am full mid meal and stop. Sometimes I notice I am full but the taste is no nice that I just keep going. It’s an interesting journey! I feel like I discovered a whole new world.
I still feel resistance to starting this before a meal because first five minutes of sitting with hunger and observing food can be really tough. But I nearly always feel better afterwards.
    Thank you for this video!

I have to admit I practiced this guided meditation with a small orange. Usually I just eat the orange without thought. This time I noticed how "Tangy" it was and when I went for the second bite I slowed down because of the bitter tang of the fruit allowing me to eat this orange slow. Great Meditation practice and Thank You.

I liked this very much. It’s the first time I was aware enough to put on a meditation during a meal. I was surprised to how many videos are available. Thank you for this work. I think the thing missing was practicing gratitude before and after. So I added that on my own! Namaste!

Been wanting to try this meditation for a while, finally did it just now. It was pretty challenging compared to the "usual" meditations, especially with the feeling of hunger and all. Became a bit hyper aware of some things that make me pretty uncomfortable, so yeah, it was an uncomfortable meditation. Interesting experience!

It was challenging for sure, I was wondering when I’m allowed to start to eat it 😁 but my body got hungrier, I produced more saliva, I felt every various texture and I could feel it tastier than ever before. It reminded me how I enjoyed making it and how grateful I was for Anthony to sharing this recipe 🙏🏼 that was a nice learning experience. Thank you 🌸
