      Thanks Flint! It's one of the set ups for adv's. I vary both stoves, tent or hammock and sometimes i only pack the Stinger 22 when I sleep in cabins. Love the R80, very versatile.

      @@Braapncamp Can you tell me where you got your hobo stove from? It looks really neat how small it packs down. I use Trangia at the moment. I am planning on getting the R80 soon, but without the 2 aux pockets :-)

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is the Petromax Hobostove, it could be found ar various outdoor webshops or from Petromax webshop. Works great! Reasonable price. If you oay double yiu get the Firebox instead with hinges. I would consider the aux pockets. The bags comes without them mounted so you can chose to mount them or not.

    Hello Mattias, Great soft bag luggage system. That's the only way to go because those will take much more punishment when off-road and provide soft landing for bike if you go over. Now the question is, if you did tip over..could you pick up the bike with all that stuff on it? The Moskomoto system is the best!

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the system is so robust so you can se it as protection for the bike 😂👍🏻. And yes i can lift it with this packing, tryed it allready 👀🙈💪🏻. Happy trails!

    Nice 👍
    I also think it’s better to go for a warmer sleeping bag and open it than freezing in a cold sleeping bag. It’s worth the extra weight and space.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Took the summer sleeping bag when i was at the place with @NomadSweden, worked well down to 11˚C. Probably i would be good with one of my 3-season then. But i like the winterbag and can aford that volume in my packing this time. Have You been riding Joones?

    • @JoonesAdventuresMC
      @JoonesAdventuresMC 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not so much riding this summer. I have a sore elbow (gissar på tennisarmbåge) and a broken clutch lever 😳 I’m going for service with the bike on thursday but they haven’t got the new clutch lever yet. So I guess both me and the bike is a little disabled. 😸

    Hej Mattias, bra video 👍🏼...jag undrar vart du köpte mosko moto systemet...! Tack 🙏🏼

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tackar! Mosko har bara försäljning via deras egen webshop, den finns som EU-baserad med fri frakt. När vi anordnat event i Basecamp North regi så har Mosko varit partner med försäljning på plats. Men de har då delar av sortimentet med sig även om det är det mesta. Vi har även ordnat rabatt då. Jag rekommenderar dock att beställa från dem då nästa event är i Augusti och ser ut att vara fullbokat.

      Haha, thats how it is! 😂😂👌. Since i ride with tubeless i only carry original toolkit, a plug repair kit and a pump. Ofc a multitool as well with some extras on. Straps with ratchets. All of that exept pump fits under seat and side panels. Happy trails!

      NotsoFast 34 haha, omg, we cost each others some dolares 😂🙈. Thomas and I are talking alot with eachother about everything, and ofc we talk gear. Shopstop is good at some points. Each one have to figure out their set up. But keep in mind, my total hiking set up (combined for all type of outdoor events) has been collected during more than 20 years. Like tents for different purpose, stoves for different purposes ( collects stoves as a stoveoholic😂) etc. Best part is that my grown up kids use alot of the gear for their hikes, nothing they can afford yet by them selves.

    looks awesome. Does the bags rest on the plastics? Wouldnt that cause scratching, or even cracking the plastics in a drop?

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the the systems "holster" rests on the bikes plastics but does not move. Surprisingly few scratches. Protective folie could easily prevent for scratches if wanted. No problems so far with tippning the bike... 👀😂

    Mattias great video! I have the older Mosko Reckless 80 system. Do you find that that side bags scratch the plastics ? I have a KLR 650 now but am moving to the 790.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Box of Chocolates Thanks! Due to the reinforcement of sturdy foam material , the bags does not move much. Scratches are minimal, but ocour ofc if dust gets between bag and plastics you will get scratches.

    I am deeply impressed that you manage to keep the weight so low on your packing. I always have way too much packing when I'm out on "adventures". What kind of knife did you have on the tank bag, and what kind of saw was it?

    Hi Mattias
    Having come from a KTM 690 Enduro, how do you feel about the switch to the 790? Does the 690 have any advantages you miss? Do you feel that overall the 790 is a better bike?
    I am riding a 690 and would love to move up to the 790 but I still want to develop some skills and figure it is better to do this on the 690.
    Thanks for the great videos. Keep them coming. Adrian

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My opinion is that the 790 is a more complete bike, but still has good or exceptional offroad capabilities. In it's class, it is outstanding. It has a great handling offroad an OK on road. The 690 is a very nice bike though and well proven at this time. If i only did single track and doubble track, i would stay with the 690/701. For long days on various Surfaces from offroad to rally gravel roads the 790 offer more comfort and room on the bike. I was toasted when trying the 790R, i had to swap. I still keep my Eyes on the 960/701 bikes and how they develop. To develop skills a 250/300 are better, a 690 is a handfull as well when it gets tight.

    No tent or tools?

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey NES, I was not clear or showed the complete packing. A lot of stuff in the tank bag, Tools are always packed on the bike. Stuffed these in the rear side panel compartments that the 790 adv has. No tent this time since I went to the forest, took the Amok hammock system instead. And a spare Amok hammock system to hang up as a demo at our base camp.

    • @newenglandscrambler2262
      @newenglandscrambler2262 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Braapncamp awesome, thanks. I'm messing around with my R80 right now and haven't found a good setup that packs well with everything conveniently located yet. My tools all have to go into the luggage on my bike, so I need to be a little creative with space use.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think i would put the tools in one of the 4 litres aux pocket or a tool roll at the place where the tentpole sleeve are. Secured under the rear beavetail but not in the 22l bag.

    • @newenglandscrambler2262
      @newenglandscrambler2262 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Braapncamp I'll give the beavertail a shot. Oddly enough, Mosko's Fatty tool roll doesn't fit inside one of the auxiliary pockets when it has a "reasonable" amount of tools in it and is inside the waterproof sleeve (either the one that comes with the Fatty or the dry bag for the auxiliary pockets). I was a little surprised by that.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@newenglandscrambler2262 Ohh good point, I agree on that. I also thought that this was an engineered match. Next best position must then be under the beavertail, fastened so it is secured and could be left while the Singer 22 is taken off. Move down water and i.e. fuel to the aux pockets.
