      After hearing the music featured on your videos, I should have considered the vibe you’ve cultivated. The Knifonium synthesizer featured on what I sent to you has a character that was once described as the most evil, rude, and nasty synthesizer ever built. I have heard the great cinematic composer Hans Zimmer has two of the twelve Knifoniums that were made, probably because quite capable of the sometimes needed darkness in a movie.
      I take its character to heart when composing with it, but as a challenge try to tinker with it to create sounds with the opposite character. It is my favorite synth because of its quirkiness.
      You shouldn’t have to try and feature the crude sounds I experiment with. My motivation to email you was spurred on by its “brappy” character and was a whim.
      I have many recordings with more traditional sounds and even have some with rudimentary guitar.
      If it ok, maybe I should send a few that are in line with what you’ve chosen in your other videos. I’ll find a way to send them in a more compressed format, and as I’m thinking about it, perhaps I should create a Soundcloud account and merely send a link. Would be easier!
      Again, thank you for indulging me.
      Cheers!

    One more super video, fine music,
    I am enjoying it so much, chapeau!
    This is a interresting alternative for to the backcountry panniers, will have a sharp eye on it.
    Think you live and ride in a part of paradise!

      Tusen tack, for you kind words my friend. I think it pends on what bike younhav if pannier or this reckless system is the right choise as well as preferences ofc. The R80 is so good that other options looks el cheapo. I'm impressed but this robustness wheighs. Alot more practical than my old system.

  • @user-of5bb3yb9f

    I went back and watched this again. I have an R80, but thought I would get the R40 as well - Swedish Nomads says no problem for camping....I think you could, but it would be minimalist. That's why I lean to the R80 for that task.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The R40 is great for smaller bikes, but it will always be cramped for camping gear. Even with the Stinger 22. The R80 is so modular, from 22 to 50 or full 80 litres. R40 is great for cabin or B&B trips though. If You already have like "notmal" camping gear it will be expensive to go Ultralight and low volume gear, just ro fit it into the R40. With this said, it's for sure possible to gobultra minimalist camping with a R10 👀😂👍.

    That certainly showed dedication to the cause. Carrying a full load, setting up the hammock but it is a good idea to test everything and we end up with another interesting video. It might be worth trying a lapel microphone with a 5m cord for some of those scenes as the volume was low.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a good summary, i had a blast and i tested out the system at three dayrides. Now i know what to expect when going on an advride with it. Only mod to the kit is one of my smaller stoves and a 3 season sleeping bag instead extreme winter bag 😂.

      Sorry for late answer Uli, hope You sorted this out! You should have a good oportunity since the Mosko reckless has doubble layers and keep it somewhat cool. I really like this pack system alot. It weighs more that many softluggages but are on top in functionalities and robust. In a couple of weeks i will go on a miniadventure of 3 days.

    Nice field review Mattias! Thanks for taking the time to do it. Mosko Moto is just a few hours south of where I live in Washington State. As soon as the showroom opens again I'll go see best product to fit my bike. 2014 Guzzi Stelvio. I need to take some weight off it by eliminating rack and hard panniers and replace with a rackless system like the Reckless 80. Nice Jacket too you have. Who makes it? Cheers from an Italian in Seattle. 😎👍

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I couldn't be happier. The new R80 us easy to configurate to different needs. I.e. the top beavertails and top bag could be removed completely which gives about 50 litres of pack volume. Easy to take of and on the hole system from the bike. Pricey, yes, but robust and well engineered. It will last (or will have to) for a long time. The 890's seems to roll out now, i've been thinking too. Have you been haggling with
      a dealer yet? They are probably smoking hot. My dealer got the last 6 790R's a week before i checked out the 890 Rally. All 6 was sold in a week, even if the season has ended. These bikes will not be "floor heaters". I'm interested in how it goes with your thoughts.

    hey Mattias. Do you have experience with the difference between Mosko Moto Reckless 80 and Backcountry in terms of if the motorcycle overturns. I think Backcountry has a frame behind the bag. Maybe it's better ?? Many adv greetings from Kim. Merry Christmas.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I have ot, unfortunately. But I have tiped this bike over with the R80 a couple of times in the woods. Hold up great. The risk with a frame at the rear that attaches to the bikes frame is that even a small accident could give affect on the bikes sub frame. I think soft luggage systems are more safe than hard or semi hard luggage systems. Only way I see the benefit on Backcountry like luggage or hard cases is loading capacity or preferences on how to handle luggage off bike.

    Is the top rack needed for these bags?

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really per se, but you need to fasten the 3 rear straps to something. At my 790R the oem plastic rear rack that comes on the bike is perfect.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you don't like a rear rack I'm sure it works without. You just need to fix one or all 3 straps to subframe instead. But it will be easier with a small rack. The bags holster syste is rock solid and will not move on the bike, sure you will find something out. Maybe search for R80 and enduro to find something that shows this.

    Great review Mattias. I am using the Mosko 35 panniers on my 890, and the fuel mileage drops significantly on high speed highway sections, due to the extra drag. I am thinking this setup might have less drag. Do you have any input on this idea?

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I can't really say how much it affect the fuelconsumption. On my type of riding in the woods I think it must be marginal. Can't say that I feel much of the R80 system on highways either. By the looks I would say that it should have less drag.

    • @Braapncamp
      @Braapncamp  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! It is very tight to the bike, i can't feel it move at all. Ofc i feel the weight. 15Kgs of stuff including drybags. The holster/beaver tail adds to the weight. But it is tough and robust as no other, have looked at other systems but this is on top. I guess that for me it's equal in weight with my former softluggage since i had the pannier racks mounted, i got rid of 3,5 Kg's but gained the same in the beavertail. The quality and feel in the material got me stoked when i unboxed it. Happy trails my friend!

      The simple answer is that I've been in the game for a while and have a good memory of different trails in my part of western Sweden. Some at east as well. The gps with it's base map plus topografic map is helpful to recon and scout for trails. As well the map adventure tool Garmin Basecamp on the computer.
