That's even better than the time Dave explained it for Mark on his 4x4 is born series... Thanks TF and thanks to Dave for the clear explanation... Any more due from Ashcrofts?
lol .. Jolly good... looking forward to it mate :)
Great video
+12kerryman Thank you. We try.
At about 2 .11 you can see that the sleeve for the Rev/5th gear synchromesh has the 5 half moons facing towards the reverse gear , instead of the 5th gear, why is this. My r380 is also in this configuration , but the manual clearly states the 5 markings should face towards 5th gear. I am confused as I am trying to resemble my gearbox. Seems contradictory. Thanks for any advice / explanation
Sir can i ask about how many torque will apply to move the outer shaft of the gear box
Just a question. You know how the pinion shaft cogs are supposed to still spin in neutral with the clutch up (not the main shaft obviously). Well mine don’t spin. Have I broken a pinion shaft or stripped the spline or something?.
Very helpful video. It has shown me a gearbox restoration is well beyond my limited ability and best handed over to a more competent practitioner. Should save me a lot of grief.
