I would much prefer a good clean car from a shit office then a shit car from a good clean office. The cars here for a few years. The office a few minutes.
I don't think I've ever come across a car dealer so honest about stuff ( other than my local guy I use, but we are miles away from you ) don't change what you do it is a refreshing change to see a car dealer with a conscience well done you 👍
Lee, I do think you're underestimating the value in having a well presented pitch. Not talking a spanking glitzy showroom but getting that banner removed and a proper decent sign put up there along with a good refresh of the office will do wonders. There are many people out there that would be put off by the current presentation in my view. Keep up the excellent content, I watch every video! All the best
Top man, Lee. Your prep work goes way beyond what other dealers do, and your customer service is top-notch. just paint the office, and a nice floor and you're done 😊 Have a great week Lee
Wow, I am astonished hearing the age of your I presume oldest customer you have had so far at 94 years of age!!!!!. It's so amazing that the old lady is still compable of driving and being independent at that age. Very interesting watching vehicles which will be out for sale at some point.👍👍👍👍
Lee im now a retired plumber ,my dad was a car dealer his life was a car dealer our 😊coffee table was not for fruit or coffee in our front room .it was for a transit engine or any gearbox !!! , my dad made it a success because all hiss cars were prept ready to go .only 4 on sale and 4 ready to take their place .bingo no stress , he learnt the cars failures like your self .great work lee . The only criticism is its about looking good and your office needs a paint even your forecourt .the tarmac needs sortin,ps great channel
Have ever though of expanding your business to a larger premises. I think your business model is excellent just a shame you haven't expanded. Your pricing is very affordable and your really open on what goes on behind the scenes. I have come across one (car trader) youtuber mentioning no names that not only comes across as arrogant and big headed but also expensive. You seem really genuine and you've definitely have the trust factor that goes with this.
Every time i watch a walk around a pitch video it's amazing the amount of prep work you do for the price point you do but that's why you will always be busy and your channel will grow and grow, well done lee and restores faith there are some great dealers out there👍
I know carpet is the cheapest per m2 but I really advise against it for a front office in a garage. It will get so dirty within 2-3 months of winter and you'll never get it clean again. I'm a builder and we fit them in offices regularly and spend half our time going back a year later to replace with a laminate or tile that people can easily mop
Looking great Lee ! Might be worth putting a fresh pair of number plates on your motors with The Car Pitch at the bottom , easy bit of advertising too . I’m currently paying £12.99 a pair delivered on eBay , that way if your dealer window stickers ever come off you’ve still got your name on the vehicle too . 👌 cheers Leigh
What's it got to do with viewers about dirty office and windows bugger all....... In the nicest way your a Arthur Daily you know the car trade inside out. Some viewers forget you own all the cars on your pitch so plain and simple you can do what you want with them. As always your honest you say it as it is no bullshit. If viewers want clean windows etc we'll invite them to come a clean them if that makes them happy. Great vlog Cheers buddy
Hello from Ireland again, Lee. You will miss your car when it goes next week, lol 😆. Yes, Lee, those Toyota Aygo's are impossible to find, anywhere. That Fiat 500, looks very cool, it looks like an Abarth, very nice Car. Lovely Suzuki, 4×4, and White is the perfect colour. Wicked video Lee. 🙏🙏👌🫡👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It’s evident you work hard Lee as I have watched from the start. In my opinion I wouldn’t even buy a couple of projects because as soon as you do your guaranteed to buy a few from auction or a dealer that will need more prep work than you thought and your back to square one. The stuff your buying will keep your mechanic busy and you will turn them around quicker and increase sales, give it a trial for the first 3 months of the year and then review the difference and keep us posted regularly on how the strategy is going, be good content to. Good luck for 2025 👍🥳
Xmas time can be so depressing some years, good time to spruce up here & there, plus maintain some equipment ready for the new year. Hope you get a decent xmas in sales....you never know! All the best Lee. Let us know how it goes.
In office I think it would look better if you got rid of the 2 counters n just had your desk with couple of chairs so customers can sit down at your desk with you to do paperwork etc and will make the office area biggee
Garage trade as bad as my business, flying school. If it's few customers, it's the weather's bad. Weather good aircraft breaks down, on a Friday when no mechanics to fix for busy weekend..
Brilliant Lee ! Can see you are making a really positive change to the car pitch by making some space for sale ready only vehicles. One thing I do like is your attitude, ie got to do this, got to do that, to make the car ready for sale, as you yourself would want if you were the customer. I really do think that if you provide the very best customer experience they will always keep coming back to you, and that is money already banked for your future business growth etc. I realise matters are tough right now, especially at this time of year, so what are you are doing at the moment is great, ie dealing with your current unsold stock. Where do you get your wheels refurbed/painted? I recently paid £150 per wheel for that service via VW, no powder coating, just a simple re-paint job after presumably basic sandblast. Looking forward to the next update. PS: Noticed that you were at same GX auction isit? on 'Shifting Metal ' video. Can Jo Public use these Auction sites, I doubt it?
Hi mate, if your struggling for injectors for that fusion, try "used ford spares" there only in stoke, used them loads, good bunch there, keep the videos coming mate, gonna need something to do in this dead month lol 👍
Theres a 2nd car place near me called Spears in South Wales. It's pretty scruffy but their local reputation for what they sell is pretty ledge and people keep going back.
Lee, one of these..... Genuine Hyundai Steering Column Rubber Coupling Noise Elimination i30 i40. ( That starfish rubber bush goes behind clock spring on Column?
LEE mate do people ride clutches today i used to drive a London taxi then a Metrocab the least we ever got was 120,000 miles still working but got very heavy to put down mate only 3 drivers ever drove them great vids keep em coming
I recon there are 5 key reasons why the motor and other trades have hit some unusual lows this year: 1) the election 2) the budget 3) rising energy costs, end of government give-aways that pumped the economy (its why Sunak called the election early) 4) global instability (we are a trading nation) 5) our media barons and dominant factions from the right scaring people into being careful with their money
I had a Juke 1.2 turbo as my last company car for nearly 3 years - it was really good and really reliable ............. well except for that time it ate its own engine ............ what was chalk and cheese was its predecessor was a C-Max 1.6 diesel which was an utter dog. The Ford dealers were bloody awful with their customer service Nissan on the other hand were absolutely great - makes a big difference
I used to buy trade cars from the rear of msl motors just trade sales or no warranty cars.in oldham. also in Cheetam Hill Manchester think sheetfoot lane used to be a garage the good the bad and the ugly .. offered all sorts but mechanics would buy some ... I bought back in the day E111DEO black mondeo ghia I bought back in 94 for 2k was immaculate 1.6 cvh engine missing a rubber on the oil cap so used to blow off.. engine was condemned due to this ... I put a seal into it lowered it put a peko exhaust on it and swapped it for a e reg rs turbo with high miles..
Another great insight into the second hand car market 👌 P.s Do you think I could get a decent RR Sport from the auctions for between 7 to 9 K '' Cheers Keep em coming 👍🏻
Thanks for video👍..Just a wee heads up if you haven't already noticed..When you do your videos at auctions your voice is very muffled and can't make out what your saying..I can hear auctioneer etc but not you .Not moaning lol .I always enjoy the content from the auction 👍
Great video Lee, Did i hear you right a new clutch only lasting 40K miles? I was gonna ask how much you charge to do a full Jazz clutch , bearing etc as mines still original at 124000 miles :)
In aygo's they last around 40-50k very cheap to change mind. We dont do outside work sorry as we are to busy but next door who we use may do it. I would expect a 1.2 1.4 petrol jazz clutch would be around £350-375 including parts and labour.
When you have your building signboard done, is it worth advertising on it your price range (ie £1995 to £7000 for instance) just to show at a glance your selling points ??
Nice video. My sister is looking at either a Suzuki Swift or Hyundai i10 both around 2015, both 1.2 & with around 40k miles. May i ask your opinion between the two as far as reliability etc? Thank you
I noticed that you recently promoted Autodoc in your video, I thought I would try them but sadly they take one whole week from order to delivery the parts. That's probably not practical for smaller garages to wait that long to complete a service or repair on a car
They are EU based so it does take 7-10 days for delivery, not ideal for parts needed asap granted but they have been excellent for us when getting parts in bulk and rare parts we cannot get in the UK anymore or out of stock. Thanks for the feedback anyhow clayton and for watching the channel (y
I was down your way delivering some parts the other day. Town centre doesn't look like Britain anymore. Groups of dinghy men hanging around everywhere. Why do we bother trying to make a living when they get it all for free.
Cars have a mid-life crisis period, where lots of things go wrong at once, Some people fix it all and others sell them on or trade them in. Dealing cars in that era is always going to be lots of repairs.
I bought my car at the mid life crisis point (bought cheap mind), I've spent a good chunk on it but it's hopefully at the point now where it'll be plain sailing for a good while yet. I've had it 4 years, only let me down once for the sake of a £7 part but, I know I can trust it totally as I know what's been done to it.
Old car yeah but Korean crap, if you pick wisely can avoid a lot of lemons. I can't believe a car that new needs such part. I have a 1993 Nissan Bluebird on original control arm and bushings. I guess the quality isn't there
I would much prefer a good clean car from a shit office then a shit car from a good clean office. The cars here for a few years. The office a few minutes.
There's a compliment in there somewhere
Thanks, I shall not be spending a lot on the office just a tidy up. I will leave the spending for the cars that's where my money goes 🤣
Yes, but many buyers just want to see shiny offices... they think the cars will match the office. Impressions are everything
These updates are great, learn alot about what not to buy
Top man Lee. You do a proper job on your cars. Good luck going forward with your clear out and onto a prosperous 2025. 👌🏻
I don't think I've ever come across a car dealer so honest about stuff ( other than my local guy I use, but we are miles away from you ) don't change what you do it is a refreshing change to see a car dealer with a conscience well done you 👍
Learn a lot abt the trade from these updates, thanks

One of the best presenters of this subject/business, informative about cars , the trade & as a businessman.
Top man, Lee. Your prep work goes way beyond what other dealers do, and your customer service is top-notch. just paint the office, and a nice floor and you're done 😊 Have a great week Lee

Another cracking video Lee. !!
Changing glass not frames saved me thousands.
I wouldnt hesitate to buy a car or recommed lee just from watching your videos you sell cars the right way in my opinion

So long as an office is tidy and clean it doesn’t have to be fancy. Great video as always 😎👍
Great update. Would be nice to see a collaboration with SPR Autos channel on the Merc!

I would recommend what you already do, you do a great job. Just had mot yesterday on my peugeot 3008, sailed through no advisories.
Always wishing you the best luck for some good deals to come your way...

Because of your reputation you don’t have any issues selling cars. I for one wouldn’t hesitate buying anything from you guys.
Love the Audi ❤

Recently found your channel via the youtube algorithm....I like the format but give us a look inside the cars please and tell us what they have.
Fair point, I will do this in future updates
Great to hear from you Lee with a mid week update.
Garage trade as bad as my business, flying school. If it's few customers, it's the weather's bad. Weather good aircraft breaks down, on a Friday when no mechanics to fix for busy weekend..
Great progress Lee.
Great video good to see your cracking on with the dead cars looking forward to see more great content
Lee, thanks for the update on the gear linkage solution on these SX4's, happens Swift too, always wanted to know what it was
Really enjoyed this video Lee very interesting and clean windows soon when I buy a car who cares about the office
Good luck! 👍🏻
Thanks!

Exactly what I thought when I moved in 🤣👍
great video cheers
Thanks 👍
Wow you deserve to do well if you sell quality. Nobody begrudges anybody a profit if they are doing the right thing.
Thanks, hope your new stock does not need as much work👍
Nice update 👍.
Hi mate, if your struggling for injectors for that fusion, try "used ford spares" there only in stoke, used them loads, good bunch there, keep the videos coming mate, gonna need something to do in this dead month lol 👍
they trust because they watch you

I would be really interested in the merc..my gramdad had a white merc in the 80s and they do tug on the heart strings
Joe from shifting metal just had his merc fixed as no one wanted to touch it worth a try lee specialist in Yorkshire
Bit of a crappy period for weather lately, very wet and miserable,so I'm sure things will pick up soon.
Good video Lee 👍
Where i get my tyres fitted, next door filthy car mechanics garage. Even the cats there are filthy. But i bet they know their stuff, been there years.
Yes indeed cats are on it.
Same here Tyre place I go is an absolute mess but the Guy who runs it and his lads can't do enough to help you out, Needless to say he's always busy.
Lee, one of these..... Genuine Hyundai Steering Column Rubber Coupling Noise Elimination i30 i40. ( That starfish rubber bush goes behind clock spring on Column?
Sod the windows Lee keep up the good content
"spend a bit of money , not too much " cracked me up 😅
Buying any purple chrome wrapped Range Rover with spinners to out-pimp The Lovely Car Co??

Prepped? Some of these are as good as rebuilt!
You wanna stock up this month, there is always a dearth of cars in January.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You will sell 10 for sure in december, but I bet this will mostly happen on the 23rd on the very last minute and not earlier.
While you're tidying the office Lee, spend a ££ or so on smartening the workshop. Looks really scruffy.
He rents the place.
If it hasn't already been suggested, what about SPR Autos Merc Specialist in Stockport. Joe from Shifting Metal has used him. He's another TH-camr.

P.s Do you think I could get a decent RR Sport from the auctions for between 7 to 9 K '' Cheers
Keep em coming 👍🏻
Good job lee. Isthere anything preventing you getting a second ramp?
Probably should have put laminated glass in the windows bud .
( Window Fitter here )
Suggestion why not give the gate man the JAGUAR. As a Christmas present 😂
He will just leave it where it is 🤣👍
Thanks for video👍..Just a wee heads up if you haven't already noticed..When you do your videos at auctions your voice is very muffled and can't make out what your saying..I can hear auctioneer etc but not you .Not moaning lol .I always enjoy the content from the auction 👍
Do you ever have vauxhall insignia elite trim for sale
What you want for the silver transit Lee, the silver 1,trade sale
Would customers prefer a nice tiled floor office with leather settees, and premium prices,or well prepped and serviced cars at great prices🤔🤔🤔
Do you still have that blue Aygo? It looks fire 👀🫡
Hi Lee what model is the purple 108 please?
Are there any Chinese cars going thru the auctions ? Interested to see what prices they go for.
I wish Lee lived near me. Real honest guvnor. Love to know the prices on your white Land Rover PE67
Its not a retail car its for a overseas customer.
Why don’t clutches last in UK. I have had cars in Australia with 200k with original clutch.
80 million people on a small island Stop Start Traffic absolutely everywhere you go.
Great video Lee, Did i hear you right a new clutch only lasting 40K miles? I was gonna ask how much you charge to do a full Jazz clutch , bearing etc as mines still original at 124000 miles :)

Both decent in vehicles, driving position are very different so she may want to sit in both and what feels right go for.

There's nothing wrong with you or your pitch.
You need to run a tight ship, not a shite tip Lol.
🤣👍 I may use that one
When's the Jag being delivered by the gate man
I was down your way delivering some parts the other day. Town centre doesn't look like Britain anymore. Groups of dinghy men hanging around everywhere. Why do we bother trying to make a living when they get it all for free.
I've noticed you haven't got anywhere for someone to park their bike, you could be losing potential customers there Lee.🚲
Bikes are now band from the pitch micky
the office needs to be updated an ugly floor and a wornout desk doesn't look good

Whats Your Favorite Car 🚗 Manufacturer German Or Japan Cars
looks a lot more empty than usual auctions visits needed
🤣👍Nope plenty still to sort and coming in. Will keep away from buying at auctions for few weeks yet
@carukchannel Yeah, sort out and sell some of these dead 'uns, get a bit of space back before you go crazy at auctions again😂

How sad are people ! Clean your windows 😂
