So I recently built my first PC took me 2 year of buyin part by part, I never played PC before but my friend talked me into it but took me a while, I finally got the last part and had a buddy help put it together, a week later BG3 came out and I’m ALL IN but I’ve never Modded (besides Skyrim on ps4 lol) so thanks for the video I’m super excited to give it a try!
Here's a recommendation, and I have no idea how this mod is not the #1 downloaded mod for this game. It's _configuarble movement speed_ and wow it makes a huge difference not having to lumber slowly around the world.
I always find it curious how widlly differently people play this game. Here I am, wondering how I can make the game harder because tactician was a walk in the park, while other people are out there going "how can I make cleric stronger because it's too weak". A mod like the unleashed series mentioned here as best mod would be actively horrible for me, as it basically just increases player power. Which is great right, the cool thing about mods is there's something for everybody. Given the right time and support from larian, I'm sure the best of BG3 will actually be in 3 years when most major bugs have been patched and the modding community has flourished.
Yeah I know what you mean, I would definitely like some sort of difficulty improvement mod, or ones where it imposes restrictions on things. Like everyone can do what they want but some kind of order to multi class should be in place. Like why the hell can a paladin also become a warlock at the same time? Honestly I preferred some of the restrictions BG2 places up on duel classing to this nonsense!
I have most of these mods, bit I think I'm gonna grab the better loot mod and the better feats mod. Those unleashed mods are amazing and even better when multi classing!
You are OP at the end Act II. The game could easily have 14-15 levels, not just 12... there is plenty expi. The most of the mods listed are just cheats which circumvent the rules of the game.
I highly recommend the subclass mods, I'm using divine soul sorcerer and bladesinger and they work incredibly the bladesinger one requires another great mod, "5e spells", which adds a ton of other spells from D&D 5e, which BG3 is based on
I love multiclassing, and I don't mind limiting myself so I'm not OP before I naturally get there. However, missing out on a feat due to multiclassing is a big bummer, so I'm on the hunt for a mod that changes nothing more to leveling or feats than giving feats at base level and not class level (i.e. I get a feat when I'm at lvl 4, no matter if I have 2 lvls in bard and 2 in warlock).
Fantastical Multiverse. It adds in a number of races. Many of them are reskins of the base races, with some unique abilities. But there are a few that are unique, such as Minotaur, the fish-people, or Kobalds. And most of the races do have customized faces for them.

I’d love to see follow on videos about top 5 camera and gameplay adjustment mods, and top 5 mods to make your game harder, given the unleash makes it easier. Im also hoping someone will write a whole additional Dwarf Artificer Companion. Distinct lack of dwarves

These look great, but have you considered a mod where it immediately plays the end credits as soon as you start up the game, and then it tells you how powerful you are and how you're mommy's special boy?
The problem I have is most mods just make everything OP. I want a balanced mod that brings CHANGES but not necessarily make everyone indestructible. I would love for their to be a level 20 mod that is actually complete. The ones that are currently don't add proficiency bonus's or things like that.
I feel like i might know the answer to this.. but if i install something like the dialogue approval rating mod on my pc account, save my game and load up that save on my ps5, I'm guessing it wont still be active right? 😅🙃
im still waiting for a MOD that will trigger a companion interaction with the NPC that you engage with , example on Astarion when we met the 2 sibling spawn of his at the inn. wish we have a MOD that can bring up the companion if he/she has a interaction option for the NPC/environment
I didnt know about the mods, and in my secondrun i was using cheat engine to do pretty much what the feat-mod and the cosmetic part of basket mod are doing. Ngl i was feeling a little like a "filthy cheater" but know i see that other ppl also wants more customization about their character creation and character fashion. Nice video =)
4:05 for a more blanced option, there is "Ultimate Transmog - Real Armor Slot - Armors Helmets Boots Gloves and Cloaks" You get an in-game item that allows you to apply the appearance of any armor piece you own to another. The mod is still a WIP but it works very well for armor and the author plans on including weapons, shields and camp clothes down the line.
These mods are a little bit too "cheaty" for me.. this game isn't very challenging even on the highest difficulty.. so rather that even more power to the player I'm much more interested in quality of life and immersive mods
I followed your guide, the only mod I tried was the black dye mod, but when I loaded the game I can't speak to npc's. I deleted the mod, now I can speak to them again. Maybe you still need the mod fixer im not sure, but strange that a simple dye mod would cause anything.
My fav mods are (I may have the names wrong) Extended Party Limit (Script Extender). You can have all your companions and it won’t break your save as long as you follow the instructions. I’ve only had one minor issue where the whole party doesn’t wake after a long rest (just press your group hide key to wake everyone up). It’s absolutely game changing and works wonderfully. One of the highlight mods, adds labels for everything. Dye Dye Dye and Infinite Dyes Bigger Fonts - if you’re wanting font in the UI and books There’s also another mod that turns the item description text to white, I don’t remember the name though
See I keep debating whether I want to increase my party limit 😬I bet it would be fun on Tactician with other mods making combat more difficult. I love the infinite dyes mod, just experimenting with color combinations. Bigger or more clear font does sound like a nice addition as well, thanks for sharing!
Most of these sound cool but that one which adds stat points to feats, jesus man the game isn't that damn hard even on Tactician. Why not just turn God mode on and quit pretending you actually want a challenge at all!
only mod im looking for is finding hidden stuff like treasure or traps or story arc as my first run i found stuff and my second play through whole party failed some critical things so i lost a story line i know about how many do i not know about
Layer of complexity? 99% of the time 2 feats are spent on stat increases to get to 20. And one feat is given to ur main damage source or defense. 80% of the feats arnt really used because while they look good on paper, you can pass up the main 6 or 7. Things like lucky, learning class spells, athletics are underwhelming in the game format specially on tactician. Ability Improvments should have been taken out. Every feat should have added Ability scores to every feat instead. You'd then see more variety because you wouldn't be limited to 1 actual feat (2 if fighter). Feats could then be sorted by level, such as level 4 can o ly get certain ones so ur not OPd early on, 8 (and 6 for fighter) would be a new teir that unlocks others, and certain ones like sharp shooter and GWM would be at character lvl 12 only. Not only does it make class building more complex because most splits because more of a trade off, such as 4/4/4 in order to get all feats or fighter mix could be 6/4-6/0-2.
I'm currently in act 3 , normal difficulty and I've never had a game over screen . I find it a bit too easy and thinking about restarting to go tactician . Not using any mods and not started multi classing yet. I am a rogue/theif, got Lae as warrior, gale as Sorc and ShadowH as light cleric.. ripping everything to pieces on Normal...
Larian is such an amazing company. They actually added the mod fixer into their game themselves and even added a specific fix in the patch notes. So party expander works 😍😍😍

I've asked around but I think I am being ignored. Im currently experiencing an issue with some mods not working as well as BGMM putting all my mods into the inactive section if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
I will do my best to help! BGMM should put all mods as ‘inactive’ the first time you load it up with new mods you put in your Mods folder. Or by Refreshing. However, once you move them over to the left side (Active) and go to File: Save Order, then File: Export Order to Game, that should make them work in the game. Only other thing I can think of if it’s all loaded in but not working is there’s some extra step that hasn’t been done-hard to say since every Mod requires different things.
I don't like mods that break D&D 5e rules, like extra feats every level etc, that feels more like cheating, you can just as well download cheat engine or something and add the feats to your heart's content. +1 ability score when you choose feats is on the edge really, feels like you are playing with a DM who likes to add homebrew mechanics without breaking the game. I like the ones that add new and smart items not necessarily overpowered, but would make you happy when you come across. Mods that add customization to how you look, both physically and for the armors/cloths/weapons you wear. Also best of all are the mods that add QoL improvements. The stash / gearing all the non-party companions, checking their inventories - teaming up with everyone or dismissing them while running like headless chickens in camp trying to find them is quite annoying. Lastly mods that add further D&D 5e content, like subclasses, or new spells/feats that 5e has but BG-3 doesn't have yet are amazing too, hopefully they will increase.
i would not recomend the baskets, they also contain rings and items that are just op , and will clutter your place. I deleted the mod as soon as i saw the mass of cheat items
If you leave them in the ghost basket they disappear. You don't have to use any of the accessories but this mod is one of the best ways to be able to customize the look of your party. Most of the other mods in the video are explicitly used to make your party stronger
Hey now 😂 for me it made multiclassing much more fun. I’m considering doing a Part 2 to share quality of life mods. Wasd movement, UI enhancements, ritual spells, things like that
these mods sound so boring. jesus, just get one hit kill cheat if you don't want to enjoy combat or actually making choices in game and think about those choices.
All of those mods are about making the game easier to play, the only part of the video that was really helpful was the part that showed how to add the mods. Hopefully I can find mods that make the game more like 5e DnD, not dumb it down idiots that don't know how to play. I have a friend that wants another level harder than tactician that he can play solo
I’m happy you found the tutorial helpful! By the way there are many mods that increase the difficulty and make the enemy AI more intelligent, and others that add 5e elements into the mix. I’m sure you’ll find ones that suit you
While I haven’t used increased difficulty mods personally, I know many people recommend it! So a combination of Tactician and smarter AI could help. I just read up on Death March Alpha mod from creator Lightboom, that could be what you’re looking for?

Why would you fall for that? Would it be fun if the ai decided to ignore your funnel strategy and waited for you to come to them? Come on bro. Your expectations may be too high and also ridiculous.

Like you being good at a game and having an effective strategy doesn't make the ai brain dead, you are just a good player.
@@robertandrews6828 the game is too easy, on the hardest difficulty, i dont even need to use half of the mechanics to beat the game... No buffs no nothing.. Its not because im a good player its because the difficulty only increase the hp of the mobs and not the ai

I'm doing a duo playthrough, just me and shart. That's the way forwards for those who like to punish themselves but while flirting with their bae.

Was wondering when you mod BG 3 using the BG 3 mod manager does it still allow you to gain achievements or are they blocked from being gained?
I wanted to use the basket equipment mod but when I apply the mod it disables achievements. Do all mods disable achievements for bg3?

You can just change difficulty to tactician from the start menu without having to restart. Granted, even tactician is really easy by act 3

Consider 5e spells if you want more of a 5e feel. You could also consider lethal AI or immersive AI if you want more difficulty in your combat
