To ensure your holes line up, run a long piece of masking over both keyhole hangers. Poke a hole through the tape where the screws need to go, then stick the tape to the wall and drill through the holes in the tape.
😂😂😂 thanks brother I appreciate the encouragement. Yea my wife's already mad everyone like the fart noises, she's been telling me they're dumb for 30 years!!
This was great - perhaps you could have used a French cleat to replace the back piece of the rack - I’ve used this on a few areas of the house. Just add glue to the cleat to keep it in place.
That's a good idea, I didn't do French cleat because I didn't want it to fall off when you pulled the towel off but I didn't think of just gluing it on.
Neat! I wouldn't even have known about these types of projects before reading about them in Woody Hyezmar's Woodworking Bible, If I’m not istaken he’s still looking for proof readers.
someone reminded me in the comments that they make a tip for a router that makes a keyhole and I looked through this router bit kit I have and I have one of them!! 😂 now I know for next time.
Really enjoying the videos! Hey- could you please show us the finished product before you go through the steps of building it? (Even if it’s a prototype) that way people can picture how each step in the build starts and ends-
Attach the sides to the back piece first, then, without the front piece on, screw directly through the back piece to the wall, preferably a stud, then attach the front piece.
Predrilling is just drilling a hole slightly smaller than your screws "groves" so that the wood doesn't split when you put in your screw. Counter sinking is drilling a small dip or hole the size and depth of your screws head so that the head of the screw is sunk under the wood surface. If you were to just put a regular wood screw into a piece of wood the head of the screw would sit above the surface of the wood. They make special drill bits that do both drill the hole and leave a dip for the screw head. I hope I explained that right.
Good thing there's a way out for you then!! Why do people have to be so mean when someone is trying to find the humor in life and share it with others?? I bet you are a real riot at a party 😬
"Hashtag blessed" 😂😂😂 Happy wife, happy life!

This! I've tried multiple fancy hanging jigs and masking tape works the best!
@@jascogoods Didn't you show us how to do exactly that about 4-1/2 years ago?
Dude, you crack me up. Even if I wasn't into woodworking I'd watch for your commentary. 🤣 Apologize to your wife for me for encouraging you. 🤣
😂😂😂 thanks brother I appreciate the encouragement. Yea my wife's already mad everyone like the fart noises, she's been telling me they're dumb for 30 years!!
@@jascogoods She's right. They are dumb but that's what makes them funny. 🤣
You can't offend anyone if you make fun of yourself. Love the Bronx cheer noise too.
thanks brother i appreciate it. I'm sure someone will still find something to be offended about. 😂😂😂
I have never in my life been wrong about anything. There was that one time that I thought I was wrong but it turned out that I was only mistaken, :)
😂😂😂 If you are married they keep a ledger in their hearts of all your mistakes!

They make a keyhole router bit. It's quite useful I've made a shelf with sliding bookends using one.
I realized after I did the video that I have one of those in a cheap set of bits I got years ago. I’ll have to try that next time.
The sound effects....🤣🤣🤣 Also, the self-deprecating humor will always keep me coming back for more. Thank you.
😂😂😂 Thanks brother, I appreciate the encouragement.
Your videos make me laugh 🤣🤣. Funny and informative at the same time.
😂😂 Thank you for the encouragement, I'm trying to laugh till I'm in that lumber yard in the sky!!
Knowing how to properly hang a hand towel #Blessed

Love those. Going make some for my house and some to sell. Gotta watch it again. Thx for sharing Great job.
No problem, Thank you for your comment and gratitude. I hope they turn out great for you.

These are a great idea! I need some of those in my bathroom.
Thank you, I can't take full credit. I get a lot of ideas from the internet.
Love the sound effects , button fixings are a great little connection which is invisible and also detachable. 😂
😂😂😂 Thanks brother. my wife hates all my sound effects!! I will have to try one of those!!

Or a dremal n sand out the hole. But I like the keyholes😊
someone reminded me in the comments that they make a tip for a router that makes a keyhole and I looked through this router bit kit I have and I have one of them!! 😂 now I know for next time.
That’s nice and level 👍👍
Thank you!!
Keep'em up! I love watching each one of them.
Thanks brother I appreciate the encouragement

thanks brother, yea I can do that. maybe a drawing or a picture of what inspired the build. great dafault pic by the way
Another "Great" video, Sir!
Love the sound effects, lol
Thanks Brother!!
Nice work! Great idea using a turkey baster, too.
Thanks brother, my wife would disagree with you on the turkey baster though. 😂😂😂
@@jascogoods Mine, too!
Good job and project thx for sharing Keep building
Thanks brother, will do.
Cut into the wood the shape n depth of your fastener you're gonna use to hang it on the wall
That's a great idea! thank you!!
Attach the sides to the back piece first, then, without the front piece on, screw directly through the back piece to the wall, preferably a stud, then attach the front piece.
That's a really good Idea! So far the keyhole hangers are working but if they get loose after a while ill try that.
Love your damn videos lol. I guess you could always use a router to do key holes directly in the wood.
Thanks brother, I appreciate the encouragement and the advice!!
Could you do a french kleet to hang it?
That's a good idea maybe split the back into two halves so when you pout the French cleat together it looks like one piece. 🤔
If the camera adds 100 lbs.
Just how many did you have on? LOL!
😂😂😂 at least 3!
What is the difference between pre-drilling and countersinking?
Predrilling is just drilling a hole slightly smaller than your screws "groves" so that the wood doesn't split when you put in your screw. Counter sinking is drilling a small dip or hole the size and depth of your screws head so that the head of the screw is sunk under the wood surface. keyhole bit from the router.
thanks brother I'm gonna have to get one of those.
