Its crazy you say that because I was thinking the same thing but I am always making napkin holders so I didn't mention it. I didn't want to get a reputation as a napkin holder hoarder!! 😂😂😂 Thanks for your comment brother.
Dude, the pie is sick. I love it. I thought of two tweaks for the process that I think people might dig. 1. If you want to save labor and maximize profit, you can cut the pie crust from the pie itself prior to painting instead of making a whole separate part from a different piece of wood. 2. You could make the crust from a separate piece of wood like he does here, but make it stand taller than the pie surface, just like how the crust is taller on a real pie. Maybe even make it from some hardwood scrap that's close to the color of a baked pie crust. That cute little touch might be worth the added labor, adding value which commands a price sufficient to offset the labor cost (or exceed it).
Love the video Jay. The Scarecrow looks great on my wall too. You are the best brother!! Oh , and you are so cool brewster trying to crack the joke about me looking older...lol😂
A local TV channel needs to hire you to do craft segments for morning shows. You are a great communicator and likable. They also could use those segments to drive traffic to their TH-cam channel as well as yours.
In one of your videos you asked about painting small pieces. What I do is take a strip of tape, double it over like double sided tape and press it down onto a piece of wood and then press your small piece on the tape and paint it. After it dries just pull it off of the tape and glue it on to where you wanted. Double sided tape will work also.
I thought the turkey was gonna be like a napkin holder or paper plate holder. Ya know what i have always thought would be cool to have for thanksgiving and christmas(mostly just for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners)? Basically a "dish"coaster for all the hot casserole type dishes and gravy boats etc to sit on. And have them name of whatever it is for on the coaster. But have them be Thanksgiving themed on one side and Christmas themed on the other side so ya only needed to take it out to decorate for the 2 holidays once.
A napkin holder would have been a good idea for the turkey. Maybe I'll try to make it into a napkin holder next year in a new video. I like the coaster idea too!! You should be making TH-cam videos. You have a lot of great ideas! Thank you for sharing them!
You’re 1 of my favorite channel to watch. I have a quick question ( not related to this video) after setting up your stool in your craft room with the window venting, are you able to tolerate the smell/smoke?Thanks
Thank you so much. The smoke is not bad at all, there is no visible smoke in the room. It just smalls like someone is burning incense. On amazon they sell fans that you can add to the end of the hose that help even more. The only thing I don't like is that the fan shuts off a few seconds after the laser finishes cutting or engraving. Sometimes there is still smoke in the box so I just wait a few minutes before I open it because I don't think you can just turn the fan on when the unit isnt running.
This is great, never thought about the sacrificial fence. I personally use a sacrificial hold down board for small pieces so close to the blade. Great video!!!
Love it bro, for the bleeding marker, maybe try a hint of hairspray if the wood is unstained (I do not make stuff like this so it's just a sort of brainstorm fart) maube with a soldering machine burn it in...
Tip for painting eyes in top corner of the black part put 2-3 dots or like an apostrophe in top of the eye and the same side in each eye.👀 see the white part on the emoji, it gives a direction to look at instead of staring straight ahead! Luv the videos! 💜
Gee! Here I thought it was the beginning of the sunrise! Yes, NBC was my next guess! Ha ha ha ha. You could do the 360° of tailfeathers, glue them all up or do 2 halves, paint the rest of the turkey on, seal it, then use it as a centerpiece hot pad.... just a thought.
That is a really good Idea. Maybe make the circle inlaid in the middle of the feather!! Definitely worth experimenting with! Thanks for the comment and the idea.
Oh no I'm probably too late for the comment, did you already make the turkeys? I believe I said the stains in the video so I hope you got them in time!
I have the same wen belt sander. Have used it for over two years and it is great. Struggle to find good quality but inexpensive belts in the right grits. Kinda settles on 180 grit as it removes material but leaves a fairly good finish.
That's the same grit I use too!! I have been getting my belts from amazon and they seem pretty good to me. Home depot and Lowes want you to buy a variety pack and I mostly use 180 like you.
They don't watch your videos either? That's ok when we get rich and famous from TH-cam they will act like they were our biggest supporters!! 😂😂😂 That's what I tell my daughter anyways! I grew up in SD so I just wear it for that! 😂
I cut them from a 1x4 so they both started at 3 1/2 inches. The finish dimensions may be a tad smaller from the sanding but as long as you are close to that you will be good. Thank you for the comment.
"Me Want COOKIES!!!" NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM🍪🍪🍪 ADADABAWATER to your paint, a little shakey shakey and 💩 comes out real nice for ya 😁 Krackcrow LMFAO Should've gave Crazy Eyes a Pizza 🍕 nose (Name that movie)

Thank you Mrs. JASCOgoods. BTW you have excellent taste and are very gracious helping "B'der" {spg?}, much like my own wife runs interference for me as I often need it.

No problem brother, I am glad they are helpful. thanks for the comment and support.
Cool idea small modifications and the turkey could be a napkin holder

That would be awesome!! I don't know how i would be on live TV though, I say the wrong thing all the time! 😂😂😂 That might be funnier though.

If you don’t put the middle circle in, the sunflower would make a good trivet. I really like your ideas.

She is a good sister! She is really supportive but it might be so Ill build her stuff. 😂😂😂 Thank you for the comment.
In order to paint those tiny pieces, put them on some painter's tape and they won't go anywhere...
