I've said that for the last 2 years, that Queen should invite her to sing a couple of songs as a guest artist at an upcoming concert. This is just her singing to a karaoke track in her living room over 2 years ago & it's still amazing. That 10-second final note in full belt is epic.

No need to hurry, I'm sure Angelina has good people around her. I think everyone on her team including the record company (Republic Records), slows down a bit with marketing her. She is so good anyway, so she can not be ignored. She delivers music that lasts, and not music that lasts for a few weeks as plastic hit. Angelina has over 600 Million Views on TH-cam and over 2 Billion Views on Facebook overall on her videos. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at the Age of 8, and has been producing masterclass level vocals ever since. The only and regular marketing is done by the fans via TH-cam. Angelina does the ridiculous on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and saves the impossible for Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday! There is a hint used in the game Charades that signals the answer "sounds like" the next clue. Angelina understands "sounds like" better than nearly anyone and can vocally and artistically display such in nearly any performance (as she does here) but never by sacrificing her own flavorings! Superb!! And she didn't make us cry!
Harri, Angelina has been compared to so many singers. Oh, Angelina sounds like, here we go. Billie Holiday, Etta James, Louis Armstrong, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey, but seriously I think she absolutely sounds like Angelina Jordan.

Freddie Mercury musically was a genius and a very special talent. However, he was very sick when he recorded this song. According to Rolling Stone, Queen's Brian May recalls that Mercury could hardly walk when the band recorded "The Show Must Go On" in 1990. "I said, 'Fred, I don't know if this is going to be possible to sing,' " May says. "And he went, 'I'll f***ing do it, darling' - vodka down - and went in and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal."
I can't help but think, if Freddie had been healthy, he might have done some of what Angelina did on this one.
Freddie's illness didn't affect his voice and his vocals in the song were perfect, with nothing to improve. Also, if Freddie wasn't dying, Brian wouldn't have even written this song.

Yes, right away you hear that Angelina has chosen a completely different voice to deliver this song. It doesn’t sound like traditional Angelina, but of course, it fits the song. It’s melodic and it’s clean and strong to fit the lyrics. No breathy Angelina here, but vocal flexibility in a higher, stronger register. Beautiful-and an original take on a song that you thought no one else should sing, but like Bohemian Rhapsody, Angelina doesn’t try to out-Freddie Freddie Mercury. Instead, she gives us a new way to listen and love the song.

I am not a devout Queen fan, so when I first listened to this performance and noticed a nasal quality in the opening bars, as though Angelina was singing while she had a cold, I wondered if that effect might also be present in the original. So I went and listened to Freddie Mercury sing it and it is there. At least to my ears. Whether she consciously or unconsciously does this - imports higher-level aspects of the original performer - I do not know. But it's notable. To my mind she is something of a method singer, she inhabits the original artist for the length of the song and not a note longer.
Nice to see someone finally commenting on this. I heard the same thing the very first time I heard this cover, and it's very apparent in MY ears, too. It definitely had to be by choice by Angelina, no doubt in my mind. Have a nice weekend :-)
How was that one Harri? Just blows your mind what this young lady can do with her vocal instrument. She showed class and respect for Freddie with the likely homemade mask by her at the beginning and the black attire as a tribute, pure Class young lady. That last note at the end of the song just tears into my soul each and every time. Remarkable. It is a challenge to understand how artists at this level accomplish what they do. However, she does, and as she performs she is lost in her performance self. This is great for her and for us as well. There also a reason why that ending gets played over and over. It it an amazing explanation point to the story, but also a display of her breath control, always a strength for her.
Angelina is just a phenomenal singer, no doubt, but I think the way she conveys the emotion of the song is better than just about anybody out there. This butterfly is breaking out from her chrysalis. Thanks for the reaction Harri.
