Her versatility is incredible ❤️ Mastering so many different singing styles and techniques ❤️ And she is not turned 18 yet ❤️ 12 or 13 here and give a powerful performance and I love the ending ❤️ A great tribute to the legend Freddie Mercury 👍❤️
Hi Britt really appreciate and look forward to your reactions, your breakdown of Angelina’s amazing performances are refreshing and spot on, love this performance from are musical genius, Angelina proves she can sing anything, I attended many Queen live concerts in the 80s including Live Aid in 1985 , I know Freddie Mercury would have been proud of Angelina’s cover of this Classic song, great reaction thanks 🙏
Now that you have "met" Freddie Mercury and Queen you can get the Spirit she's honoring. Wide open it is! I look forward to seeing you react to Queen some more .. I can't imagine seeing them once will satisfy you! Freddie is unique and thoroughly brilliant. He can leave you satiated and yet still wanting more ... I'm so sorry we lost him but he certainly left us with A LOT of extraordinarily powerful music. The connection within that group of musicians is so rich. As you continue exploring Angelina you'll find yourself saying over and over that you've never heard that part of Angelina. She so honors whoever she covers that she is sometimes more "them" than she is 'herself'. But as she gets older Angelina most definitively shines through. I'm so so so so glad you're with us Britt! I love your reactions!!
I like your reviews, but I’m surprised when you’re surprised by Angelina taking on a different style or genre. She IS the girl with a thousand voices-and she is musically fearless. Yes, like Bohemian Rhapsody, this is another semi-autobiographical song that Queen’s Freddie Mercury completely owned. He was one of the most iconic voices and personalities in modern rock music. Angelina gives it her own treatment, but the homage to Freddie is in the power she delivers here. You just watched Angelina give you a version of Adele’s iconic Easy On Me that you liked better than the original. As great as Adele is, she doesn’t have the vocal tools Angelina so effortlessly can summon up. I don’t think any singer does. She can handle so many styles so authentically, but originally. She’s truly once in a lifetime.
I love it when she belts for those long periods of time. So far, the longest one with the most power exerted that I've witnessed is when she sings "I'd Rather Go Blind with that 16-second belt!
As you delve deeper into her catalogue, you'll see that although she is primarily a jazz singer, Angelina is perfectly at ease in any style or genre. She really is the best. We're not crazy 🙂😎
Indeed her vocals were mostly straight tone without vocal fry or runs. I think this was, for her, a practice song for clean belting. She obviously has a soft spot for Queen too after her winning performance of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT.
Thank you Britt for the wonderful reaction that speaks for itself, this girl is just amazing, every time she sings a cover or one of her songs it is invariably a new entry into her wonderful musical heaven. What she manages to do, combining her beautiful voice, her passion and her sensitivity, is absolutely unreal. The ability that this girl has to connect emotionally with the song and with the listener is unique (and here she is doing it with a simple recorded backing track, where she cannot impose the slowed down tempo on her). Her acting linearity leaning on her unique talent makes every interpretation of her memorable, for me it is impossible not to love this concentration of humility, simplicity, candor, sympathy and talent. Angelina every time, with her voice, leaves you with a wonderful feeling of contentment and tenderness that accompanies you even after, I love her voice.💛🧡❤
And, Claudio, what you said at the end of your comment is so special, "...leaves you with a wonderful feeling of contentment and tenderness that accompanies you even after..." The staying power she has over us is the power of love. When we see her performing live or on our cell phone or desktop our head has been programmed to "get ready" to listen to her. When she begins to sing our heart takes over. Wherever we are, when she finishes the song, we have to linger for a moment or two to gather ourselves as we slip out of her space. May I ask a rhetorical question? "How often does this occur?" "Everyday!"
@@RobertDeMartin Right Robert and the incredible thing with her is that you never learn... normally in life, when you learn something new you automatically increase your level of knowledge and therefore also of "adaptation", but with Angelina this mechanism doesn't work, it amazes and moves you the first time, but the next time it happens again and then again! It's impossible to defend yourself against her.
When she did bohemian rhapsody, the Queen group sent her a congratulatory message and thanked her for the tribute, Angelina is fantastic, thanks Britt sdos Argentina.
With each cover she does, I feel I am watching her perform a recital or sorts, wherein a student of music proudly shows the skills they have learned. Studying and interpreting these iconic songs from the masters in so many different genres to perfect her craft. Just wait until she is 'done with her education" :) I am a fan for life.
RIP Freddie. This song about performing thru good and bad no matter what and keeping a smile imo sums up so much of his life. Love this tribut to great band and singer. Love this Artist and your reaction. Thanks
Great comments Britt! For someone who is unfamiliar with Queen, you certainly hit the nail on the head… they ARE iconic! 😉👍 …now, back to your reaction… 😬😉
Great reaction Britt. The mask is a tribute to Freddie's last concert were his face was bandaged up, for he was dieing. The black Angelina wore and the fade to black at the end was for paying respect to him and that the show must go on. The age she is here (13) she has already mastered over 10 genre’s of music. The painting behind her is another one of her grandma Mery's paintings. 👍❤❤
Again. It's an awesome reaction. Yes, you must dig into Queens catalog when you have an opportunity. Their music is very iconic, and Freddie's voice is unmistakable. Angelina's cover is comparable to Freddie's vocal, of course, with her twist. The song itself marked Freddie's final farewell. One of his last gifts as he was dying of AIDs. Brian May wrote the song in May 1991 and the final track of their album Innuendo. May feared his bandmate would be too ill to record the vocals, but Freddie nailed it in one take. "The show must go on" is a phrase in show business, meaning that regardless of what happens, whatever show has been planned still has to be staged and presented for the fans.
Beatles might have modernised boy bands but Freddie Mercury and David Bowie inspired the musicians and changed music presentation forever. They took rock from singing a couple of song sets to putting on shows that took music from bars and halls to arenas.
@@phillipscott7049 Bowie was my guy growing up! Saw him live for the first time when I was 11. It was during the Ziggy Stardust period. I'll never forget that show!

When she did BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY Queen contacted her after putting the tape of her performance on their page and they told her she was welcome to do any of their songs anytime. They really loved her version! She has others that I can't find in my brain right now ..
After covering Bohemian Rhapsody and revisiting it completely here, Angelina does not touch the original and makes it a tribute to Freddy, I think the mask he wears is also dedicated, he sings in a beautiful full voice and the touch to the song is in His incomparable tone, thank you for the review Britt..see you next time..Massimo🥰
Angelina makes Music from any Generation Come Alive & I am a Big Fan of Hers. Britt thank you for all these Wonderful Reactions of The Barefoot Princess ❤️🤗 Her Voice Projection is AMAZING
If you haven't caught the performance at Kork of her cover of "Its a Man's World" you are in for a treat...not that virtually everything she sings isn't... But it is one of those while not a great recording it is mind blowing what she can do with that voice...
Very nice reaction: important that this was a tribute (to Freddie Mercury of course)... as in all her tributes (I think) she wears black and the final belt had a protracted fade to black.... Her tributes videos are amazing and many reactors miss the subtleties.
Actually, Brian May wrote this song, with help from a couple of other members of the band, as a tribute to Freddie as he kept performing through thick and thin, heartache and pain in the last days of his life. He died shortly after this song was released. As usual, AJ’s tribute to Freddie was a work of art. Sensitive and grand at the same time just like the man she was paying tribute to.
Bohemian Rhapsody, and The Show Must Go On, are iconic from Queen when was the last time you experienced a vocalist take these on and make them better that they have ever been done?
---- Angelina is not afraid to tackle many genres of music spanning jazz, R&B, soul, gospel, country, pop, rock, EDM, classical written specifically for her, disco, movie soundtrack, etc and across eras from the 1920's to 2020's ---- And Angelina can adjust her voice to match the vocal styles of what seems to be upwards of a dozen different singers ---- And then she has her own unique style ---- I am in my seventies and cannot think of any other singer that I have heard in the last over 65 or so years that has that kind of versatility
You should react to some Queen songs. Freddy Mercury's voice is like Angelina's in the sense that it is unmistakably perfect. Always watch live performances of Freddy. Love your reactions!
Should be standard practice to provide a link to the original video AND we always appreciate a quick reminder to watch, like, share and comment on the original video.
Freddie wrote this as he neared the end of his battle with AIDS. Listen to the lyrics again with that in mind. Angelina does not shrink away from any challenge. Also, the mask is a nod to the official Queen video.
Charity, she donated the $80,000.00 she won on Norway’s Got Talent Angelina Jordan won Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 8 in 2014, the prize for winning was $80,000.00, this money was donated to children’s charities. At age 8 her first charity performance was in Germany to raise money for heart disease. Again, at age 8 she does a telethon for Plan International Children’s Charity. Still at age 8 she performs for Norwegian Sea Rescue Society Charity. On the 12th of Dec still at age 8, she performs at Save The Child Nobel Peace Prize, 4 days later, even though she has a very bad cold, she performs for the Swedish Heroes Foundation against her doctor's orders. At age 10 she performed for the Norwegian Refugee Council Charity. Also age 10 she performed in Seoul in South Korea for Rotary International to raise money for children’s vaccinations. Angelina Jordan comes from a very wealthy family and does need the money, she, and her family want to share her wonderful talent with the world. This is what makes AJ and her family so very special. This information was on Alan's Pod Cast.
Here's a link to the original: m.th-cam.com/video/t99KH0TR-J4/w-d-xo.html The Wikipedia article is a good read, too. The song addresses Freddie's terminal illness, which was not disclosed to the public by the time. He died the year after recording this. Thus her black clothing and the fade to black at the end of Angelina's tribute.
It’s not the makeup, it’s the plaster on the wall that is flaking. She seems so effortlessly putting out decibels that would require earplugs to be in that room, and I think she is sitting down!? o.0
Britt, now you are beginning to realize why she is known as the "Angel with 1000 Voices." There are many more vocals to hear, as you'll see in future reactions. Keep them coming, they are great. Please react to her #1 performance, IMO, which is her cover of the jazz standard, My Funny Valentine, recorded by all the "Greats" of the past, but none as beautiful as her version at barely 16. th-cam.com/video/ETGLbsGDAI0/w-d-xo.html
Britt you should react to both Queen and Angelina singing Bohemian Rapsardy . Loving your channel . Queen didn't have a lot of # 1 songs but they were a # 1 band that sold out stadiums every night of their concerts. Wish I had seen them when they came to America in 1977 . Lost my chance with Freddie. 😭
Her creativity ruled here.. the song pretty much describes an artist who, despite of not feeling like performing, they put on the mask and hide their feelings, and"do the show"... She sticks to her artistic side with her mask, very similar to the design of that great suit she wore on AGT.. Probably paper mache...... Underscoring yet AGAIN, that EXCELLENCE IS IN THE DETAILS, and Angelina covers each one, producing a performance that reveals yet another side of her vocal capabilities.. as always, insightful comments from you come as no surprise... Top notch. PEACE!
The mask: we all go around with a mask on as to not show what we are really feeling, the show must go on. The mask is ART work from AJ's grandmother, Mery Zamani, and she was a child prodigy, and is famous artist, the painting behind AJ is one of Mery's, and has been a major force in AJ's upbringing. Here again, we watch as AJ takes on a very heavy load, and like all the other times she performs it far, far better than the original, she gives every word meaning like no one else could.
I grew up on Queen they were the Greatest band ever Freddie Mercury you need to check out some of the music Bohemian Rhapsody this song she's singing right now But Angelina is a big fan of theirs they were back in the seventies and eightis
Gosh yes do a react to Freddie. He is larger than life and he is gone but he may as well have lives on. Such is his impact. AJ is able to sing the style and what she did to Bohemian Rhapsody may never be topped. I mean seriously. Freddie was everything and so lovable. 😢 so missed
It's isolated vocals for a demo recording so, it's like everyone else stopped, while she continued performing. It's not the case, it just sounds that way and what she's doing is extremely difficult.
When you can sing as well as Freddie Mercury did (the former singer from 'Queen' who sadly died due to aids) than you are top of the range. And here we have it: top of the range singing. In fact the remaining bandmembers of Queen were very impressed by Angelina's cover of 'Bohemian Rapsody' she did in AGT 3 years ago. So much so that they did put it on their social media.
Britt, she is weareing BLACK in tribute and to honor Freddie Mercury, who sang this song, when he was already dying. AIDS. Mr. Mercury was a genius himself and Angelina does him justice. The surviving members of Queen, so someone wrote, saw this a few year later after AGT. Dr. Brian May, so it was said, invited her, to sing on their stage, should they ever meet at a concert. I do not know if this is correct, But it might. As always, be safe with your family. Elmar from Germany.
The backing track is the karaoke version. And her voice is certainly her strength. And we have all heard her with and without accompaniment including the incredible jazz bands. She did a bunch of covers with karaoke tracks. Of course she blows the track away. 😂
Queen before Freddy Mercury passed away was an iconic group, their musical catalog is deep. Freddy mercury had one of the most recognizable rock voices ever, he was a classically trained singer and pianist I believe. And the other song you were thinking about is Bohemian Rhapsody
I was never a fan of Queen. But you and Angelina has made me a fan of their music......BY the way, I am a 62 year caucasion man. But I grew up on OLD SCHOOL, R&B and Funk. Rick James and Parliment Finkwdick, cool and the gang, Temptations, Smokie, Marvin Gaye. Etc..
Bohemian Rhapsody is the other one you are thinking of. Sir Brian May, Queen founding member released copyright so Angelina could record. Also invited her to sing at front of the band.
Britt, how about a completely clean, non-jazzy song from Angelina with no belting? Try a change-of-pace song written for her (A): Angelina Jordan - Song For A (by Nico Cartosio) th-cam.com/video/Bo3mhxPM-uA/w-d-xo.html
Please do yourself and us a favor. Watch the movie Bohemian Rhapsody that came out about 3 years ago. It covered the life of lead singer Freddy Mercury and the band, Queen. I was never a huge Queen fan, but appreciated their collective talent. After Angelina covered B R and this song I watched the movie and was greatly impressed. Freddy was dying of AIDS and this song is about that.
Hey Britt, just discovered your channel, great reactions. You need to do the original by Queen and also some of the other magnificent tracks from their massive catalogue of top quality music - Greatest Band EVER!!!
You are absolutely one of my co-reactors to Angellina. In my mind you have all the right reactions, perceptions and emotions...according to mine. But....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE hear this. You are missing out on one of her greatest gifts.........Her ability to style a song a la Angelina and knock it out of the park. As a boomer i am also shocked at how many of her performances you react to that begin with "I never heard the original....but no problem."......There is a huge problem.. As before mentioned.............you are missing out on reacting to an integral part of what makes Angelina a SPECIAL talent...........and a SPECIAL being/person/human beyond her voice. So please, next time, for me, when you are going to react to her singing a cover to a classic...........Please listen first to the classic and then you will know what i mean. Love and only Love.
There were a lot of great British Rock groups but Freddie Mercury and David Bowie changed rock music. They didn't play songs they put on shows which led to the birth of music videos. Now if Angelina would just cover some Bowie lol.
She have a ''Mona Lisa'' 's smile, enigmatic and cute.

Top notch. PEACE!
That's why I call her a chameleon. 😎
There is a fearless feline beast she keeps at bay inside but when she loosens that leash its amazing!
When your one of the best you can hit any type of club in the bag, like (Tiger Woods).
-The crazy uncles for Angelina. ❤
Britt please react to Angelina's
( ABOVE THE WATER )
Gosh yes do a react to Freddie. He is larger than life and he is gone but he may as well have lives on. Such is his impact. AJ is able to sing the style and what she did to Bohemian Rhapsody may never be topped. I mean seriously.
Freddie was everything and so lovable. 😢 so missed
Go listen to her singing James brown at 12 it's a man's world live record on a cellphone. Blow u mind. Or listen to it on her album IT'S MAGIC.
Wasn't this song in the movie "Moulan Rouge" also?
The other song you were trying to remember was "Bohemian Rhapsody".
It's isolated vocals for a demo recording so, it's like everyone else stopped, while she continued performing. It's not the case, it just sounds that way and what she's doing is extremely difficult.
The mask was a tribute to Freddie Mercury. This song speaks of his wearing makeup too cover the ravages of AIDS during performances.
Britt you are beautiful 😍
Britt i want to see you sit down and sing this song for us. I like your voice. Ill be waiting
No one is better than Angelina Jordan Astar, yes thats her full name, her granny is from Iraq. Sutible surename, A star😊😅

Try a change-of-pace song written for her (A):

Please do yourself and us a favor. Watch the movie Bohemian Rhapsody that came out about 3 years ago. It covered the life of lead singer Freddy Mercury and the band, Queen.
I was never a huge Queen fan, but appreciated their collective talent. After Angelina covered B R and this song I watched the movie and was greatly impressed.
Freddy was dying of AIDS and this song is about that.
THAT MICKCANT HANDLE HER
As Tina Turner said, "simply the best".
😎🇺🇲👍🌟💯
There were a lot of great British Rock groups but Freddie Mercury and David Bowie changed rock music. They didn't play songs they put on shows which led to the birth of music videos. Now if Angelina would just cover some Bowie lol.
