Can we get someone else sahring their player view? Richard and Crim do not click and shuffle their hand all the time. Seths clicking and card switching is making a chill EDH game totally annoying for me.
Your missing a key part. Seth:Coveted Jewel is bad becuase it gives your opponent free cards when they attack you(mumble into beard and i dont know what the attack step even does)
100% agree, I get bluffing but this was a horrible punt to try and dig for an answer. He had it in hand and literally lied about it. Really frustrating to watch.
Game 1: I think Crim could have cast his Damnation in hand, leaving Phil's Toski on board, and then Toski could have hit Lilli to prevent the ultimate.
I think perhaps anyone who knows how to play Magic, enjoys playing Magic, has never played Commander or EDH, becomes an instant fan and immediately goes home and digs out their entire collection to begin making decks after their first game. How could it possibly go any differently?
I can confirm this. I played with a new friend that just got into the game. He said after his very first game, and our game, he went through his collection to see what cards he could find to synergizewith deck. He was a little overwhelmed but I said that's normal
Kinda love how crim baited Phil to bribery his own agent if treachery out if his deck, with everyone knowing he had hostage taker in his hand to steal it back on his turn, truly glorious
@@Niuttuc Same thing would go down for any creature he took though I doubt he had anything with hexproof/ward, I would have just hoped Seth would deal with it.
I was about to write the same. I think Crim just wanted to finish that game, even if they slowed down Lily, Seth would just play other pws, and if for some reason they are able to get rid of the pws, they would have to deal with Toski instead. The game would have been slow and boring.
Shout out to the Captin Beefheart record "Trout Mask Replica" hanging out on Seth's shelf. Seth continues to prove he is the most cultured of the clashers.
The turn Seth played the Karn, instead he could have gone... Activate coffers, get 7 mana, play Vital Force (4 black floating), untap coffers activate again (9 black floating), play pernicious deed, (7 black floating) and activate it for 8, clearing the board.
He'd only need 7, as it doesn't hit PW. It would leave Crim with Ugin, but still better than what he did. The following turn Phil could have used Clever Impersonator copying Ugin and -7 to do mostly the same thing.
@@HypnoticGG this...... When Seth threw deed out I was yelling at my screen..... Deed was THE play.... Literally the only play that let's him see another turn... Nothing else matters past that.... Play the board wipe or lose (I'm frustrated because Seth does this A LOT.... Skips the board wipe to preserve his value pieces and loses in the process)
I played a game in person this morning and two players had a Riku deck. Him and I both had decided independently to build a riku deck. He decided to go more noncreature and I went more creature-centric. It was a fun match.....neither of us won the game. XD
Ok so in light of Richard's love for skeletons and cheating with field of ruin (and inspired from a cute art I saw once) 2B - 1/1 Cat When this creature dies, exile it and make three 1/1 cat tokens, one is also a zombie, one is also a skeleton, one is also a spirit. The ultimate undead deck.
Just wanted to point out that the opening hands shown before game two are the same ones from game one and they are not correct. It gets fixed as soon as it switches to hand cams though

Also, answer to spells that wipe all planeswalkers, the elderspell from war of the spark kills only opponents planeswalkers for only 2 mana.
Genuinely curious why Seth didn't pernicious deed to wipe the board on the turn he played karn. I get being worried about a counter, but at the point, Crim is going to win anyway, why not play to your outs?
@@cinco_de_la_tarde The only walker was Ugin with one loyalty, he could have wiped the board (except Ugin) and paid rhystic. At that point they could stabilize fairly easily.
Yep, that line seemed obvious. Could also have used Deed at a couple points earlier in the game as well. Was yelling at my screen for that one. Crim still in a good spot with oodles of mana, but seems like would still be a game.

Yep. I will say, the Shinobi plan was creative and who knows what you'll hit, but was weird to not even mention or discuss the Damnation line. But this is Commander Clash, where sensible plays are ignored. I waffle between loving it and finding it infuriating.
@@BrewersKitchen I feel that beast within on urborg when Seth had 4 lands/agent of treachery on Seth's coffers was something you should have gone for, but second wouldn't have mattered in the end. Great first showing though.

IMO, Clash On works best when Tomer says it all excited and everyone else repeats it in a dejected manor.

@Michael Nelson Lili death trigger only allows Seth to draw cards, it doesn't give itself more loyalty.
@Michael Nelson Phil could have played his commander and equipped the greaves to give it haste to take the loyalty down further.

Having played mtg for over half a decade and several buddies playing the deck, I can still definitively say that I have never seen Riku do anything
I've seen him copy a few epic spells it was fun and made up for all the times the player countered interaction.

Turns out superfriends goes pretty well when one opponent barely plays creatures and one insists on playing bad creatures.
Aaa, I was so hyped for clever impersonator becoming an Ugin at about 1:25:00, but then it was a very sad Agent of Treachery
