I will say Seth made that deal in haste without any kind of indication of what was being done. And then there was a progenitor e-wit. Not saying what Tomer did was right in the spirit of the politics, but I can understand being salty about the constant killing of his commander which effectively locked him out of the game. But such is the risk of Voltron without hexproof lol

@@RPGFanboy14 I mean I do get feeling bad about getting blown out by Treason/sac when he had a hand full of indestructible effects, but I think Tomer tends to go for gunboat diplomacy rather than, uh, actual diplomacy, and he usually loses for it. XD like, holding the threat of removing a key piece of someone's board over their head unless they do what you tell them has the potential to be a mini-Mindslaver, but it also draws animosity from that player AND the players who got screwed by that play. Compare that to Richard. He blocked with his commander because it was going to die anyway, so it cost him literally nothing (hell, it was a net positive of not taking damage to face) and by letting Seth get the extra value of removing Killian he ingratiated himself with Seth and Crim, delayed Killian getting buffed, and positioned Tomer as the archenemy. That was clever diplomacy, and it meant the rest of the table was too busy trying to set up again to prevent him from going off with his jank-ass Dwarf Storm. (Which, as a side note, might be my favorite Richard deck this season. We stan Richard here)

For what its worth, even ignoring its spite value, an abacus is a very valid way of tracking life total. It gives you room for tons of life gain and extra space to track commander damage. I actually use one because when i play spike feeder in my lathiel deck I don't want to have to buy out the continent's supply of dice.

Tbf their threat assessment was way off in this one. Richard clearly demonstrated the capability to one shot people and no one seemed to care about it despite only Crim having answers.
There are green auras that give hexproof like canopy cover and alpha authority. technically canopy cover isn't hexproof but it reads as it as long as it's on one of your creatures

Agreed. I also wish he would play slightly to moderately more powerful decks, it feels like he is always playing some gimpy deck. Meanwhile Richard is wrecking with birds and dwarf storm type decks every episode.
Mana Drain really was limited by mana burn back in the day. It was still insanely powerful, but it could be a real issue in the mid to late game if your hand was starting to empty. The prevalence of card draw in today’s world means that mana burn likely wouldn’t be a big a deal today with mana drain.
@@sethchapman1425 Maybe. I guess it depends on whether you can win the same turn you build the massive mana pool. That way the game is over before the burn becomes an issue. Still, it’s a cool limitation, and to me it’s the limitations on you game plan that make the game interesting.

Idk a deals a deal the board state didn’t really change that much the only difference was Richard was in the lead and crim was dying and was in a worse position then before. then you broke the deal putting him in a even worse position. He didn’t hold up mana drain for you because he had the deal with you, so it kinda feels like you tricked him and took all the benefits of the without any negatives of the deal. I think when you make a deal you have to take the good with the bad and if you can’t don’t make the deal or you get feel bad moments and it sucks. If I was crim I would never make deal with you again unless it involved you doing something first
I'm glad i finally saw seth playing Feldon, i have submited my mono red feldon list before but never got showcased, and i believe my deck is stronger than what seth was playing, it's a great deck but somehow to me the white on seth's deck didnt do much other than dilute the deck and take space of more important cards for the deck. PS: Richard as always did as good as expected! Never ceases to amaze me haha

Hey Tomer, there ARE auras that grant Hexproof, but they are not in WB: Alpha Authority, Curator's Ward, (pseudo HP) Canopy Cover, Shielding Plax, Anti-Magic Aura. The best thing you can do to simulate HP in WB is Spectra Ward, but after you apply it to the enchanted creature THAT'S IT.

Why does Seth hate snarls? theyre better then guildgates, which tomer litterally played on his turn and seth said nothing. is it because Seth runs a billion non-basics so when he includes them they don't work?
They are okay, the guildgates are just for budget. 90% of the time they pretty much work like fast lands, and if it's a turn 1 tap land then who really cares unless you play Aggro. Probably get too much hate for decks that aren't spikey.
kinda bugs me when a player with a clearly threatening setup (mimic being E Wit) tries to argue its not a big deal. Comes across as kinda disingenuous. I loved Richard saying exactly "I accept the death of my commander, I know its a threat, Crim isnt admitting it about the Mimic"
The gain lands are there because his deck is built to a $50 budget, and it would be difficult to do that if he started including shock lands. Just because gain lands are bad, that doesn't make ondu inversion good
as much as tomer wanted this to not be a 1v3, the effect was almost immediate.... I do feel bad for you sometimes tomer idk how your supposed to play a fun deck when all the hate comes your way. Me and tomer generally share the same spot on the table where we go in thinking there are allies and you end up fighting off the table fpr the majority of the game
