This is so insightful. The distinction you make between information, knowledge & wisdom is so helpful, thank you. ☺️ I've been thinking about this a lot lately. It has a lot of us teetering on the edge of sanity! I think it's especially hard on young people because the digital age is all we know. I think we have to be more aware of the sources of the information we're seeing. It's worrying that social media is teaching some people to form conclusions on topics based upon minimal information, and with a lot of the facts missing. It defeats the essence of true critical thinking. It causes people to have distorted views of the world. Social media affects the dopamine circuits in our brains and (whether consciously or not) we use it to validate and reinforce our own thoughts and ideas. The algorithms feed into this. I wonder if social media is going to make us poorer communicators, because of the impulsivity it breeds. If we see something triggering, we can react in an instant. Before we've even had time to process it, to reflect.
Well constructed talk and I would agree with it to a certain extent .Alif is ignoring completely the socially committed and involved intellectual . The advice she gives to the listener is to be more “ lndividual “ “intellectual with wisdom” rather than guiding him into the wider social activities armed with focused information and knowledge .
A few days ago, I read your novel " The Forty Rules Love". It was to be chewed like the cud. I am wonder at the choice of words and your imaginative power. Wish you all the best❤️ From Pakistan.
For the first time in my life I undrstood what my real problem is..being well qualified in political science I have gathered too much information about different disciplines, this info mania has brought me to the condition where I cannot strictly follow the topic in a conversation with people, because so many unrelated information storm in to my mind the same time..
♥️
