    Great video, I managed to follow it through. But the software install has been going now for 7hours the download was about 90mins but the install doesn't seem to be going well. If the update is just for software does the car need to be turned off?

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! For the software update to be installed you need to turn the car off, lock it and leave the car for about half an hour. The software update will only install when the vehicle isn't in use. Then when you start it up, it will take a few mins for the installation completed message to show up, then you are done.

    Thanks! I have S19A_19.24.2-375121 and WiFi connected but after I check for updates many times it always replies NO UPDATES AVAILABLE. How Come? yours looks about the same version? Please give us some light. THANKS!

      You will need to contact your Land Rover dealer to rectify this issue. The update may have been taken down from the servers and will need to be pushed to your vehicle's VIN no

    No dealer wants to update my 10" system because they say it will break the module with a huge cost to replace it. It's a pity as i wanted Carplay.

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not sure about that, but you can ask them to try it (at your own risk), as CarPlay really is a must have feature. Or you could ask a third party to install aftermarket CarPlay

      @@LordTechPro i now have it installed with a module. Paid 580 euros for it, including installation, but it works well so far.

    I have a 2018 XE 25t with the 10" Touch Pro screen, but there is no Software Update option anywhere (I've searched) and the SIM card in for NAV only, it appears. The remote worked until last month, but now it just says it's "Asleep". How can I update my software ?
    Thanks !

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As I have already mentioned in this video, you need to contact your dealer. They will update it to the latest software, and only then will you get access to OTA updates, Andrio Auto and Apple CarPlay

      @@LordTechPro Sorry. I have the 8" Touch screen. I mistakenly read the specs from a different vehicle rather than going outside and looking at mine. The dealerships I've reached out to don't even bother to return calls, and I've contacted four so far.

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RazorC Oh, sorry this won't work for the 8" touch screen. It may still be eligible for other software updates though

    Does the new update include  CarPlay?

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it does, but for that you will have to visit a Land Rover dealer

    I have a range rover evoque 2017 with 10 inch screen is my car eligible for update? And will i get android auto and car play after the update? I called jlr service station and they said they are not sure. Can you please help?

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, if it has the 10 inch Touch Pro screen it is 100% eligible. In addition to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay your car should also get Software Over The Air (SOTA) capabilities if it has a 3G/4G SIM card slot. The screen software will be almost identical to the one seen on my Velar in this video (except for the bottom 10 inch screen obviously)

    • @addy2597
      @addy2597 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I checked my car does not have sim slot but it does have 10inch touch pro. I have evoque hse dynamic! So if my car eligible?

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@addy2597 Yes it should still be eligible and the upgrade should be complimentary. However some connected tech features may be missing. Here's the details regarding the same on Land Rover India's website so you can cross check: www.landrover.in/ownership/software-update/sota-upgrade.html

    This is the worst decision I have ever made to hit that Infotainment Update button. It disabled my inControl and Navigation account. I also am no longer able to use Web Browser. It has jut gone crazy. Sigh.

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It isn't supposed to do that, have you taken it in to a dealer for them to identify the problem
