Forgot to show 'OSD Lock'. If you activate the feature then you won't be able to access the controls unless you press and hold a button for 5 seconds. This must be a button on the monitor (for example joystick) - it can't be the power button or a button on the remote.

Thanks for this video, I now learned a lot about this new benq monitor I just bought. How do you update the firmware cause I tried downloading the application online on my windows laptop but when I plug in the usb to my computer and open the update utility it says device not supported and I have this same model of the monitor.

I can't give any advice that isn't given in the user guide for the 'Quickit' utility - www.benq.eu/en-uk/support/downloads-faq/products/monitor/ex3210u/software-driver.html. If you're using USB-C to connect to your laptop it should work, might be worth contacting BenQ support.

I have the same monitor and my microphone is grayed out, so I can't change any of the settings. I also can't turn Freesync on or off. I don't know what I did wrong. I just plugged it in via DisplayPort. A lot of the options are grayed out or blacked out, so I can't toggle them. Should I reset everything? Why does my monitor say Freesync is off, but everyone else says it's Premium? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I don't see the option to turn the DDC/CI protocol on or off... Does the monitor even support it?

Hello I have enabled display hdr but the backlight control option is greyed out for my EX2710U....for your monitor it was not greyed out in display hdr...can you help me..

By "enabled display HDR" I assume you mean actually running the monitor in HDR with an HDR signal rather than just selected the preset in the monitor? If you can't access the backlight control setting even under HDR with 'Display HDR' then all I can say is the EX2710U and EX3210U are different. 🤷It will be enabled as it's required for DisplayHDR 600 certification and if you disable it the backlight would just stay at a moderately high level which is pretty terrible for HDR. So they might've just locked the option on the 27" model.

Bought 7 screen in the following order and on the I kept this one for multiple reasons:
Here is the panel lottery list:
    1. Gigabyte M32UC - Was a nice screen but had a very very severe white glow on the curves and of course black overshoot (VA panel). - Returned
    2. LG 27GP950 - Best 27" screen out there but returned it because I find it too small for 4K. - Returned
    3. LG 32GQ950-B - So I bought the 32" version of previous LG and this one has a very bad QC. Huge light bleed from the bottom right corner. Everything looked a bit reddish + 8 stuck pixel (visible ones). - Returned. This screen is very expensive - £1050. Should be absolutely flawless.
    4. Gigabyte M32U. Once of the best screen for the price out there but had about 12 stuck pixel and quite few dead pixel. Extremely poor QC on this screen. - Returned
    5. ASUS ROG SWIFT PG32UQ - Same panel as in this BenQ EX3210 but had a huge amount of stuck pixels all over the screen. One was on the middle and could be seen glowing from few meter. - Returned.
    6. Dell G3223Q. Another best budget screen out there. Cost £650 and it does have a fast IPS panel. Really good for the price. I did have about 10 stuck subpixel but non of them really visible. This was the final completion of the the BENQ EX3210U. - About to Return it.
    7. This BENQ. Well yes it isn't so bright but just enough SDR Brightness. However this screen so far flawless. No light bleed, no stuck or dead pixel and it does have every feature for using it for desktop or console gaming, office or use it as a TV with Fire Stick. Speakers are amazing compare to any other screen out there. So this BenQ is the very all in one package. Highly recommended.

Wow, that's quite the journey. With many stuck pixels to show for it - not a good look for "the modern monitor market". Thanks for sharing your experiences and I'm glad you're happy with your EX3210U. 🙂

@@PCMonitors Very happy now 😃. Yes, unfortunately the modern monitor market is very poor when it comes to quality. Specially for those annoyed by stuck/dead pixels. Otherwise, thanks for the great reviews.
