    Numbers 11:4-6, 10-16, 24-29, Mark 9:38-50
Too often we try to do it on our own. We don’t invite others into our lives. We don’t seek help. Whether it be pride, envy, competition, embarrassment, we think we can do it better on our own and don’t want others involved. If we are honest, most of the time it is because of the desire to be first, to be the hero, to be the savior. Even the disciples saw others healing in Jesus’ name and became concerned that those healings shouldn’t happen! Our walks of faith are not solo calls. Jesus called 12 disciples. God gave Moses seventy elders. Who are you inviting into your faith journey? How might you be a stumbling block, keeping others are arm’s length? How does the communal act of our faith cause you to respond to the world differently?
