Giga-Economist is easier than going for a Religious or Militaristic playthrough on harder difficulties. Yeah, basically capitalism. Who needs murder or religious terrorism when you could just pay your opposition to shut up?
I believe when nations are sending a communication with you to cut off trade routes you can move to their city and click contact to get rid of the communication and not have to take the minus relation punishment for declining.

I did have to change to carnivore and aggressive in the first two stages to be fair. I should challenge myself into winning the tribal stage aggressively, I always won that via impressing.
I still wanna see you kill all the epics on the planet in one stage of the game. Awesome gameplay. I could never manage so many things at once, I could barely follow along.
I once killed an epic in creature stage by getting it stuck between some trees and shooting it with my poison shooter things. Also I was like 10 so the poison shooter things were placed in a funny area between the legs haha
@@sitfish1113 Absolutely. I don't think you need this but for those curious here's an explicit guide from me. I tried to play with one city as long as possible, befriending everybody, the further a nation is from cities you want to buy the more you should be funding their army, so if you buy one of them they wont feel threatened. Of course try making them invade cities far away from those cities as well. The game is easier if you have an economic fleet (trade routes strengthens friendships) from the beginning but I think it is unlikely that you will spawn with that on hard, it's not something I remember getting, so most times I had to buy one. Buying a city is really tricky because it can mess an entire game (you can reload the game but still), if in doubt, don't, most times just hold the route with one vehicle minimum, buy if sure it won't ruin strong religious/military alliance. I think Spore makes your enemies stronger than your allies so try having none until one nation has a clearly bigger army and fund that one to make things faster. Be both efficient with your city builder and patient, you will win by using a big ammount of money very late on the game. All AI economic nations die eventually so don't bother. Im not sure if you can win without the finishing ability, if you want to challenge yourself even more it's a good idea. Edit: Mistakes and typos

if there’s one thing that ticks me off about civ stage it’s how nations can just randomly hate you for doing what you’re supposed to, or by no control of your own. -Nation too big, Borders too close, Being a certain type of city, Being a threat - (in a recent playthrough i had 2 cities and was under a relentless assault by a military nation that felt like they had infinite sporebucks, and a much bigger nation Somehow declared ME a threat even though i had like no vehicles and was borderline going to die... i did still win because i befriended that big nation so i could farm money till i had enough to snowball my way to fanatical frenzy but yeah..) otherwise it’s mostly fine
I think going all military makes the civ stage easier. My latest playthrough I was a powerhouse, conquering each city with relative ease. But my first playthrough I had a bit of trouble as an economic city. Never tried religious though
Economic is actually all about bribery! I challenged myself on going economic hard and my winning strategy is giving a ton of gifts and make them happy, then do trading and give even more gifts loll.
recently did a full pacifist run to space, no kills whatsoever. decided, for the extra difficulty, to go from religious to economic immediately via tribe vehicles. bad idea. ended up with what felt like the slowest economic vehicle in existence, with no way to change it or get more until buying out a city, which took like ten minutes. damn you cream sedan lol
I also did a similar run with the same challenge of religious to economic. It failed horribly when the city I was trying to buy with my one vehicle got conquered and had to reset
@@NoName-oz3gj yes!!! most of my runs are on hard mode these days because i know the drill, made the stage infinitely harder. somehow finally managed it one run though! my best recommendations would be to minmax speed and only speed on a land vehicle, buy like 5 and absolutely bolt for it, resetting until you get at least one eco vehicle
I have in my notes you asked "what occurs if we destroy a tribe in Tribal Stage after it has been allied," though I can't find the original comment. However, the tribe can be destroyed after allying but there is no cutscene and we don't get any additional progress on the progress bar for destroying the tribe once it had already been allied. Although this does impact the History timeline by lowering it by the amount of tribe members killed, so this could be useful there! We can't normally attack an allied Tribe but we can lower the relationship using the Firebombs Chieftain ability in order to attack them :)

Speedrun Idea: Cell Stage: Omnivore Creature Stage: Carnivore Tribal Stage: Aggressive Civilization Stage: Economic Space Stage: (whatever you get) That is the most time-consuming way to beat the game so I'd be amazed if you managed to do it

It's not a problem to beat civ stage as economic. It is a problem when you started as military/religious, but still want an economic trait for space stage (or e.g. going for scientist archetype through red->red->blue->blue) and the first economic city only appears on the other continent. Worse still if it's an inland city. Happened to me last time I tried. That was a lengthy session.
I can try an Ally the Grox run! I don't think I'll be able to destroy them all, haven't even done that on a casual save lol. And I don't think I'd have the video storage space for a run that long ;)
Yesterday I had reached civ stage and was economic on hard, I only bought 2 cities after 10-15 minutes, but blue, a military city, conquered every single one, so I started a trade route with one of the cities and unlocked the plane, after that, blue "surrendered" and civ station was just done

I think it is game over when you are military and have only 2 cities and the enemy has flying vehicles. They will just spam your city with those flying vehicles.
that same thing happened with me, the green took all the world, i had 2 cities but i were friends with greens, i gifted them sporebucks until max happines from gifts then started taking their collectors and after re starting 4 times with a horrible save, which was when they were invading the last city, i made my vehicles faster, started taking their countries and collectors until i had like 1/3 world conquered and they started war but i already because i had enough money to defend, attack, repair town and place turrets, also it was a bit harder because i was economist but i ended up with only military cities, so i coulnt change city classes, and also just 1 of my skills was useful
If citizens are happy they can start celebrating, doubling (I think) production, and if citizens are unhappy they will go on strike, cutting the production in half
I downloaded the robot parts (illegitimately 😱😱😱😱) and I swear the game crashed when I got super far into the space stage and I was back at the civilisation stage and I was very upset

As a kid I wasn't able to beat the game in any different way, just trading. Then I realised barely anybody did it this way
I always did economic for civilization when I could so my colonies would produce more spice in space stage.

I remember doing this for fun as a kid, for some reason I wasn't able to do it, 5 years later I figured it all out by trying different strategies
The best method is to stay small and give money to other nations and trade with them without buying any so your border is not a problem

In my experience, they'll accept a trade route as long as your relationship with them is positive. No blue smiley required
