RepsUp100 they don't have to lol. The people that are going to buy RTX 2080 Tis are far and few. Most average people will be good enough with mid range cards, and AMD is tapping into this market well and killing Jewvidia with their RX5700 series cards.
High end GPU's only account for about 10% of the market. The other 90% are mid/low. Why would a struggling company with little resources for R&D put too much effort into making something that only 10% of the market will buy?
@@MarkLikesCoffee860 High-end GPUs do influence reputation and probably the sales of all of their other products. It's a bit of speculation on my part, but Ryzen 9 got a lot of people talking about it, and since AMD is mopping the floor with Intel, people might be swayed into taking AMD more seriously. That being, said, I highly doubt they'll try to compete immediately in high-end, just like they didn't do it with their CPUs.
Amd needs more production capasity to go for bigger gpu at this moment. They have shortage ot 5700 cars, shortage of Ryzen cpu... so big gpu just does not fit to that equation... yet, So big Navi hate to wait Until there is less demand in TSMCs production capasity...
I would like to note that this fan replacement style was first used by XFX. I had similar fan replacement available for my 3 - XFX RX 580 CrimsonBlack Editions.

Easily-replaceable fans is a very good feature that other manufacturers should adopt as well. I've never had a failed fan, but I see other people having such with their GPUs all the damn time, so I can definitely imagine a lot of people being extremely grateful for that feature.
Yeah I've actually never had one fail and I've got a crazy amount of graphs cards, though only a few of them are worked hard. Still I hear from plenty of people who suffer fan failure so it's certainly a thing.
I can confirm Sapphire is probably the best GPU aftermarket manufacturer out there. I bought an R9 290 Sapphire Vapor X when they released it and my friend who had more money bought EVGA 980ti Classified edition. His blew up back in 2018, while I'm still gaming with my R9 290 with zero problems. I'm a sapphire customer for life.

Asus has a model with one smaller argb fan in the middle, while the others are normal. Its out now, you can buy it on newegg
@@AJDOLDCHANNELARCHIVE you can switch it off or dimm in sapphire trixx
The fan design looks great for cleaning as well.
Love the attention that the 5700xt is getting from tech channels. Even the 2070 Super or 2080 is not getting this treatment
I bought this card in Novmber 2020 due to the gpu shortages. This thing is a POWERHOUSE. Am loving the Nitro+ model.
you should reveiw a aib rx 5700 non xt, they stay very cool and consules very little power. i have a rx 5700 sapphire pulse and oc'ed it @ 2.00GHz and set the ram at 930MHz using the powerplay mod and gained about 10% more performance.
so should be very close to a stock 5700xt. with this oc the gpu consums about 160-170w so i can still use the stock fan curve and the fan run at 1800rpm under a heaven benchmark loop making very quiet when gaming.
for info, stock the gpu consume 130w and with an undervolt and a slight oc (1800MHz) it conumes just above 100w
i really want to see how it compares others rx 5700xt
pretty good but isn't the powerplay mod too strenuous for the card in the long run ?
@@A.Froster the voltage is at 1.069 V stock it's at 0.993V and the max voltage allowed by amd stock is 1.2V so no degredaation should occur.
for just an extra of 50dls i think the xt is just a better purchase overall but im with you in some countries there is a diff of 100dls as mine for example for whatever reason that i dont understand, taxes and truying to get as much profit as possible.
@@nicane-9966 it was a 70$ diff for me, and even then why do people don't understand that sometimes you just don't want to spend more money, i wanted to spend 400€ on gpu and that's it, if you always say to yourself "yeah but with just a little more i can get this" you'll end up with a 1200$ 2080ti.
@@flxdrv5020 man there is a huge diff between 50dls and more than double the price.
Nice review! :) Bought it almost one year ago, still happy with it!
I still have RX480 Nitro+...and will upgrade up to 5700XT... and I will stay by Nitro+. 👍
Same here

haha same, mine's on the way. will arrive as early as friday. since i live in california might get it as soon as wednesday.

Here with my Nitro+ 7900 GRE, impressed at how much de Nitro+ lineup has changed. Although it was always pretty good 👍
I want one! :) I have a lot of RX 480/570/580, aswell as a Radeon VII Sapphire's and I love them all.
Why? Xd. You can like open a amd gpu shop:P
@@psychicwarlock5745 Good question haha. No I'm mining crypto currencies with them. And also plays games. But in my gaming rig I have a RTX 2080 Ti.
I believe those 3 point star cutouts on the backplate are a reference to the structures formed using Nitrogen in organic chemistry.
Red Devil Vs Sapphire Nitro+ :
The Red Devil have Best 5700xt performance, cooling..etc
Sapphire Nitro+ is 99% same as Red Devil, but have slightly better VRAM temps
Overall.. the are the best 2 5700xt out there, personally I like Sapphire, but I would pick Red Devil if it's not available
the Nitro+ is the best card for cooling too, GN covered this very in depth. If you compare stock to stock the Nitro+ draws 10% more power and roughly matches the other high end cards in thermals, when reducing it to 200W it's far and away the better cooler.
Nitro+ on base clock is a little bit quieter than the red devil tho, which on the other hand has a little bit more performance
Great, thanks for the video. Sapphire did very well, as anytime with Nito+. Next the Asrock Taichi 5700 XT please :-)
Keep up your good work, all the best from Germany, Peperich
Now I can't wait to see the 5900XT version. Hopefully big navi will be a worthy upgrade to my 1080Ti without paying double the price.
Marcus Cook that’s what I’m waiting for... these are basically 1080ti for around same price or slightly more than a used one on eBay. I’m def interested in the 5900xt as it should be an upgrade without paying $1000
@@xfcarcache8771 i'm buying the red devil just to get off of nvidia, selling the 1080ti to replace the cost of this card and updating to big navi whenever it actually happens
I totally recommend this card, in my 13L case , undervolted runs at 60-70 under load, 35 idle.
on my x570 board it has issues with pcie 4.0, so Id recommend forcing 3.0
Thank you!
Waiting for this GPU! I have a V64 Nitro+ so cool and i think i will sell my spare V56 to get some budget for this Amazing 5700XT Nitro+
Sapphire is the best AMD Partner
I had a pair of sapphire nitro plus fury Sr+ variant, absolutely loved those cards. They drove at the time my brand-new 34-in 3440 X 1440 ultrawide monitor. Of course now I power that monitor with a single Vega 56 better than I did the 2 furies.
Im still happy with my pre order of the red devil! Dont make me regret it! 😂
This is the best new pc part I've seen in a while! My Tri X hd7970 was a pure monster and my friends r9 290 Toxics were beyond amazing. I saw the PULSE card and knew there had to be more. Now if they can get us a Toxic version when the 5800 and 5900 come around I'll be a happy man.
Very sexy card. But something tells me Sapphire made this design not for the RX5700 XT but for the future RX5800 XT card.
Have the Sapphire rx580. It's been excellent. Paired with a Ryzen 9 3900x it's already pretty magic, I might snap this up or maybe wait for the next generation. Good stuff!
Tbh the Sapphire Nitro+ RX5700XT SE is one of the best mid high range cards I've ever ran in a system. And I had a lot of cards. GTX970Ti, R9 390X, GTX 1080, RX590 SN+ Edition.
But the XT is designwise and also powerwise my alltime favorite tbh.
Such a beauty. So this is AMD's EVGA.
7:53 I'm glad temperature is now measured in decibels
lol
fan replacments are a joke with sapphire i have a Sapphire RX Vega 64 Nitro+ and one of the fans makes a noise all the time they 100% wont replace it and told me to rma the card this when it was 3 months old, oh and i even asked to buy one as im not going through rma just for a fan they said they dont sell them
mine is only 9 months old and i tried getting a new fan out of them after 2-3 months
@XX78J I recall a thread on r/AMD or something about a 390 Nitro with leaky pads... basically it went like, card breaks because the fluid juicing from the pads is conductive or whatevs, Sapphire and Mindfactory join forces to gVngbVng an ordinary German boiii (or grill, dunno) with the said card outta warranty, the victim posts on Reddit, gets many responses but not a word from a rep, tries to work it out in their homeland Germany and reports back for a month with no positive updates, someone moans on Sapphire's Twatter to no avail, and in maybe half a year or a bit more the thread vanishes together with the user (u/deleted, post not found). I think it all started either in very late 2017 or sometime in 2018.
I use this card since few years - I have got the SE edition for 420$ (higher clocks and RGB fans...).
I love this card, it performs brilliant. I do not need an upgrade yet.
Man, the card looks GOOD! but i already bought the XFX 5700 xt Thicc II
THICC II looks good too
ahhh me toooo!
THICC is a great card too. Congrats.
@@jotunheim5302 Thanks! indeed it is, ive just got the card, and it successfully passed the 3dMark stress test multiple times.
Theres no signs on it being faulty based on the results, and ill be using this card for years to come.
I have this GPU for about half a year and it is amazing :)

Correct.
bought a rx vega 64 nitro+ a month ago, wasn't disappointed . really love that card
@HardwareUnboxed In our country a Chinese brand called Colourful has a rtx 2060 model which is 20% cheaper than all the other retail cards, it is even cheaper than the 1660ti. Should I risk it and buy it or settle for a 1660ti?
Buy only if u can get money back, maybe paying with Paypal
Colorful do you mean? The iGame series are VERY good. The non-iGame, I don't know.
@@BinggomanLive yeah the igame variant. How is it?
@@nanonasone3113 I dont think thats possible

That is a great idea for replacing fans. I wish my MSI 2080 Gaming X Trio had that, hopefully I will not need to replace them; the fans on my MSI GTX 980 Ti Lightning lasted 4 years and still work fine, and I gamed for hours nearly every day with that card.
AMD lucky bastard to have SAPPHIRE as a dedicated partner. Just imagine they also make NVIDIA cards, perhaps people will throw money at them even before looking at price. Sexy AF I must say!
P/S: Hmm, PCB still have 2 empty choke slot, perhaps rumor about TOXIC is real.
nvidia already have evga
@@shido8597 and Zotac
The msi Nvidia cards are fantastic.
The AMD ones aren't that good for some reason.
I've always had Asus, msi or zotac. I find them great cards.
This card is probably the only xt version I would buy. Not a fan of powercolor or xfx.
Overall Nvidia have the better partner cards imo.
I never had any problems with Sapphire, still playing with a HD 6800
@@shido8597 More option always is good thing. Speaking of EVGA, they got me with GTX 10 Series design, but RTX lineup is "Ehh!". Not sure what kind of stuff they smoking.
Still got a Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X OC for over 5,5 years and its still going strong in 1080p gaming tbh. Might upgrade next year to a 5700 XT tho, hopefully the price will drop a little bit until then
You did not review the trixx boost which is nitro +’s best feature
What is trixx nitro boost?
Damn that's sexy. Last gen sapphire cards were my favorite in terms of aesthetic. The sapphire pulse 5700xt was a disappointment so it's good to see this one's looking good
No 3950X review today? It's the 16th - perfect for the 16 core model.
I hear it's due to appear on the 30th.
I really like Sapphire hardware. Still rocking my Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 with awesome 1080p performance in late 2019.
Please review the Acer Nitro VG240Y IPS 144Hz Monitor
The Nitro+ series has been fantastic in the last while, great cooling performance and noise, actually useful features instead of gamer garbage and not too aggressive styling (although I'd prefer a simpler backplate). Bought an RX 570 Nitro+ a while back and have been very satisfied with it!
AMD really needs to release a high end GPU
The tam is on the mid and mid to high/low area aka 5700 5600 5800 range
They have shortage ot 5700 cars, shortage of Ryzen cpu... so big gpu just does not fit to that equation... yet,
So big Navi hate to wait Until there is less demand in TSMCs production capasity...
I would like to note that this fan replacement style was first used by XFX. I had similar fan replacement available for my 3 - XFX RX 580 CrimsonBlack Editions.
I want this gpu, but my wallet doesn't.
Thanks for the review, I was also hoping for a comparison with the Pulse model.
So this card is longer, yet lighter than the red devil, but just as quiet?
*looks up card
Thanks for the great review. I decided to order this gpu and it should be arriving today. 🙃👍
Select Start Save is it good?
Yazen Samer I haven’t installed it yet. I will report back and let you know.
Select Start Save how is it
KaiserOmegus it’s been working well. I’m averaging 133fps with resident evil 3 in the silent bios with no oc.
Select Start Save any black screens or driver issues
Conclusion: after 100,000 5700XT models tested, they are all the same performance wise.
They just look different from one to another.
What do you mean overclocking?
Define overclocking.
I was going to say I wish my 2080 Ti had replaceable fans, then I remembered I run a waterblock...
Are you trying to impress people?
What I love about this card is that it doesn't need energy for its fans to work. It just works. ;-)
Whaaat? 0:45
They are wind powered fans ;)
@@Hardwareunboxed Sure they are Steve. We believe you, right guys ? ;-)
The one I was waiting for, thanks you for this one Sir.
Just ordered all my components, oh boy the taxes! Thanks for the content, hopefully using your amazon links help somehow :)
I had already ordered the TUF3 5700 XT but I quickly canceled when I stumbled upon your videos, ordered this one instead.
Been on the fence with this one vs RTX 2060 super at the moment.
Just built for the first time in a decade, but the possible driver issues are worrisome. It seem this may really affect older builds and I may not have the issues with a new fresh build.
0:59 well done Sapphire. Maybe I'll look into this card depending how the rest of the review goes...
6:37 so basically go with what is cheapest, looks better, runs cooler and/or quieter depending on your preference.
This card is the only AIB card so far that peaks my interest for picking up another AMD card. (I have one reference XT already). If there is no information regarding a 5800 etc by November I think I'll pop on the Nitro. Thanks for the review.
Wooo I‘ve been waiting for this, the Nitro+, their RX580 was fantastic
Can't wait to see Sapphire RX 6900 XT Nitro+
Dude, I just installed my XFX THICC 5700XT video card on a ASUS TUF X570 mobo 3700X CPU running 16G 3600mhz Corsair memory. I finally have it all, including a new 1TB NVMe Samsung 970 EVO drive. I'm just so happy. No tech friends to share it with so you are the first to know, lol.
I was extremely surprise just how big the XFX THICC video card is. My case looks so small now.
Next I need something better than a 23" 1080p 60hz monitor
Really like the looks of this card. Would want to paint the silver areas gold :D
I did the pad/paste swap and added the wraith cooler I got with my cpu on the back of the xfx reference 5700xt and changed the fan curve a little and In running at 70c under heaviest load. Currently also experimenting with undervolting at 1100mv and running stable with less heat spike.
After having to return two PowerColor RX5700 XT Dual Fan GPUs for extremely loud coil whine and faulty fans, I've decided to get one of these based on your reviews.
G'day Steve,
G/N Steve Just beat you into my mailbox,
The Nitro+ looks Awesome, Definitely my Fave RX5700/XT, although I was hoping it would be a Bit more Outragess like a Toxic or Vapor X,
Steve also found the Nitro+ to use more power than the others, but he didn't mention that one of the bios switch positions was for Trixx,
I am buying Sapphire cards since the HD4850...they were always quiet, never broke, never had coil-whining...time to replace my R9 290 :).
Awesome vid, I want to ask you something you didn't mention here. What's the thickness of the thermal pads used? Would a washer improve the Mounting pressure improving the cooling? Thanks you
