Famous Male Lion, Dreadlocks De La Porte was seen today(1st of June 2023), badly wounded after a fight with either Avoca Male Lions or Gijima Male Lions. Either way, extremely sad news yet again. Here however, we see Dreadlocks 5 days before this fight that injured him badly, and we see him in good health and good spirit. In the video, I could hear another Male lion roar, from Sabi Sands direction. Dreadlocks immediately looked in the direction of the roars, as if he too, does not know who it is(he would have roared together if it was Nkhulu's as they are his coalition). Just days later, we saw a photo of him, with extremely bad back leg wounds. As if LubyeLubye lion wasn't enough damage to the lions world, now this, our Dreadlocks De La Porte. It seems like there are many lions around, who are ready to tear up coalitions and begin the bloodbaths of territory fights. The Kruger National Park is a strange place currently, and driving there, feels different. Winds have turned ice cold, mornings are darker, days are cloudy and rainy and a sense of mystery dwells all over.....

It's confirmed. Dreadlocks was attacked by 2 Southern Avoca's. Big boys. There's a video that I'm not allowed to share. His back leg is completely broken. Chances of survival is extremely slim for those type of injuries..... 💔💔🦁. The attack is a direct aftermath of the Nkuhlu's killing 2 females from the sand river pride.

Again a bad news…we had a war in Sabi Sands (which is not over) for power grabs which cost the lives of Lions that I loved very much and now the south of Kruger is going to experience the same thing...I hope Dreadlocks💞isn't badly injured and will recover, he's been unlucky(so to speak) so far so hopefully he will recover so he can become a Territorial Lion and I hope we will soon see Dreadlocks on video...I also hope that the Southern Avoca males💞that I like a lot are doing well, I don't know if they had something to do with the Dreadlocks injuries but I hope they are with their pride.

It's sad but really interesting the natural dynamics of Male lions and the clashing of coalitions is still only really starting to be understood properly and its fascinating as they have been born to breed and fight for what they ❤

It's awful to see this , especially after the news of Father LubyeLubye , Praying for Dreadlocks to heal and stay strong. It surely looks like strangers in the area that mean business in taking over a Pride. Hopefully since our Kings were able to walk away, they will move on. Being in a coalition of Lions, the better their chances of survival, but it also means you suffer the sins of the same coalition. In their world there is no room for fairness, just swift justice. The innocent suffer along with the guilty. Going rogue is sure to lead to death. We hope for the best and prepare for the worst. The odds have been against him all his life and he has met it head on, so if luck is on his side he can again be victorious once again. 🙏🍀💓
Southern Avocas are a very very good possibility. They chased all of them a few weeks ago. It’s also their territory as well with they being the Sand River Pride males .
Correct Kimberly. There's a possibility on both, however i lean towards the Southern Avoca's. And there's many of them. Remember, they werr chased just weeks ago by the Gijimas.... So there's that as well.

Hi you!! I say that we really need to step up our game to Protect our remaining wildlife. This boy is huge. I surely cannot sit on media all day and follow all these prides so i deeply appreciate you and your destinations. All i can say is i love each and every animal in the kingdom. I cherish them as well. They are a special part of our world. Maybe they have they own code and rules but still appreciate them while they here. I need to start a notebook because I cant keep up with all the lions name lol. But I hope someone will make a series of videos to educate people like me about who is who, where they are now, what kind of threats they are facing etc. Sort of like the Lord of the rings movie where they show an interactive map.

I was just throwing out ideas on how to make the coverage of lions into a LOTR kind of story with maps of where every lions prides are, nomads, where they are heading, dangerous lions on invasive mode, every pride strength and weakness etc. no channel has done this before lol.

Both Southern Avoca and Gigima chased the Nkhulu but don't forget that his partners killed a Sandriver female this week,, that happened in the Southern Avoca's territory wich mean they won't ignore that without revenge .
It was indeed Southern Avoca's who attacked Dreadlocks. There's a video of it that i can obviously not share. But they are going to get their revenge. The Nkuhlu's are in Grave danger, after their actions. Killed 2 females, not just one. Ans ate the last one. Strange behavior, that most definitely have consequences...

@@issajamel6529 And I'm afraid, that's where we are heading. The past couple of weeks, the Nkuhlu's and Dreadlocks separated too many times, and look how that turned out. Dreadlocks will leave a massive hole, not just in our hearts and minds, but also within the Nkhulu's. Vulnerability is the worst defense for others to attack and demolish coalitions.

How many of these trucks are announcing the location of this lone male Lion to the "gangs" of 5 to 7 Male Lions that will tear him apart? Other Male Lions must notice all the commotion of all these trucks. So, my question is, is this helping the gene pool of conservation or hurting it? Once the "gangs" take over all the Prides the inbreeding will collapse the popultion through defects and inability to fight off disease. Is this really conservation?

They are strongly bonded yes. There's never too many lions anywhere in the world, but, it seems like the South is a little crowded.

The younger ones are to young still and need confidence. They have numbers. all they need is confidence and the avocas will be ousted. I like the avocas as well, but that is my observation. The avocas are more experienced and could single them out one at a time if not careful. Dreadlocks has already been seriously injured and attacked because the other 6 males lack confidence to stand and fight still. That will change as they mature more.
Fully agree with you. Once they mature and learn a bit, they will be THE force ro recon with.

De Laport is Gorgeous. I've seen footage of the attack and he stood strong in defending himself from being attacked from the rear. Is it certain that his leg is broken? He was well composed after the injury too. It said the Nkulu Coalition were sighted on a Hippopotamus kill, and that they'd killed 2 Lionesses. Any clarity on that?
He is beautiful this boy. Truly hope he makes it, although it's very unlikely, with those types of injuries. He will go out as a legend, a warrior that he is. They did indeed kill two lionesses. One Sand River pride lioness, and one unknown. So the attack on Dreadlocks was inevitable. The Southern Avoca's will continue to get revenge, it's not going to stop at Dreadlocks..... Unfortunately.

Back leg is badly badly hurt. Reminds me so much of the S26 male last year October. Looking almost identical to that injury. There's photos on twitter and Facebook.

Roar was definitely from other lions yes. Don't know who though. But days later, he's found badly injured. Nkuhlu's however, has made a second run to Sabi Sands...

This is one very skinny male lion, he doesn't even have a full mane-ribs, hip bones and spine protruding, poor dude. The lioness looks healthier than him, no wonder he got his skinny ass kicked. Now that he's badly injured someone better shoot him to end his pain. Sad.

It's Dreadlocks, in the middle of the road. No one will just pass by. He's to big of a celebrity for that to happen. And without those cars in the park, there will be no park for them to be in...

But you get people that likes to stop on top of lions, to take a quick photo. But I've been in the park many of years. I'm there for the lions. Some idiots are there for themselves.
