3 Male Lions on Patrol -Kruger National Park South Africa Fourways & Torchwood males

- Lion coalition consisting of the Torchwood and 2 Fourways males on early morning patrol in the Kruger National park South Africa.
The Torchwood and 2 Fourways males have become the dominant males in the area around Tshokwane in the last few years. They currently in control of the leeupan and Mazithi lion prides, successfully siring their first set of cubs with the leeupan pride in 2020. Last year they started their pursuit of taking over the Mazithi pride who they were regularly seen mating with towards the end of the year. In the beginning of the year we caught a first glimpse of their cubs with the Mazithi pride. While the cubs are still young they are thriving under the protection of the Mazithi lionesses and 3 males. The 3 males spend time between both prides of lions so they have a big territory to patrol. It was great to see all 3 together this morning on patrol making their way to Leeupan.

@@issajamel6529 Matimbas sired the Torchwood male, and the Matshapiri males sired the 2 Fourways males.
@@razvanviza1263 that Fourways blond lion is the son of Maginglanes not Matchipiri and one of his brothers disappeared long time ago. so these are an ather batsh out of the Fourways pride.

They do own the place. Humans are just an annoyance. All cats know they're boss, if you are chosen then you get to live in their house and be their servant.

I love these beautiful beasts. It’s always comforting to see them in a current video and see that they’re okay.
Just watch how they walked with strive, confidence, no alarm, calmness and they check on each other. Awesome creatures. Thanks for this great videos. I'll be looking more of your great videos. No attack, no harm on other animals on videos, just calmness, relaxing on grasses, etc.

This is what the male lion does, patrols the borders of his territory to keep the mothers and cubs safe from intruders. Walking for miles and miles each day. It's amazing to think of the natural instinct to do this to ensure his genetics transfers to he next generation, such a life of purpose!

I like this trio, they are handsome…the Fourways males💞are impressive as well as the Torchwood male💞who is older than them...I'm glad that their sub adults from Leeupan pride are doing well, they are already so big, time flies...i hope their Mazithi pride kids are doing well too.

This torchwood is son of hairy belly and he is coalition partner of four ways males.
2 different Torchwood males... The male in this video was born around 2012, and fathered by the Matimbas... The Torchwood male partnered with the Birmingham male was born in 2016, and fathered by the Birmingham/Gowrie males.

Are these some new males? There was a coalition of males sometime back called "The Fourway Males" and one was attacked by "Hairy Belly" and "Ginger" and later died from his wounds! Who is Fourways here and Torchwood? So many names for a coalition😎🤔!
Initially they were 3 brothers, after the 3rd one was killed, they met Torkhwood and became a successful coalition. It is ironic that the murderers of their brother were the fathers of the partner.

@@sujayl2178 yes, the one killed by Matimbas may have been another generation of Fourways. I know for sure that these are sons of Matsipiri males and Torchwood son of Matimbas.
