If the two old brothers were together at first the young mighty brothers could not beat them. The second brother came and thought there's is one enemy but then saw two young powerfull lions, he was determined to attack if there's one lion enemy.
That's wild nature but salute to that old brave lion fought till the end. He's a true warrior 🦁💪💪
I think the second old lion has some problem with its hind leg too. Look at the way it walks from 4:30 of this video. Hence, even if 2 against 2, I do not think the pair of old lions will come out on top.

I was not brave to watch this video. Instead I searched and watched the previous videos of your and your brothers life and scrubbed fast forward if they showed this end. The loss and sadness I feel is only overwhelmed by the admiration of your and your family’s brave lives to the end. Salute to you and your family.

It was by no means a fair fight. One old king against two young lions. He did seem to know the result but did not withdraw. He fought till the end and made it difficult for them to usurp what was his. Life in the forest is never easy and only the fittest manage to survive. I am impressed by the Valor of the old lion.
Its unfortunately part of how lions live - younger, stronger lions move in and either kill or chase off the current male(s), as well as any cubs, so they can have their own pride and reproduce.
You're right, most males do choose to flee rather than risk death and fight.

Yep. It always sucks that a much more badass and bigger lion capable of so much more on an individual basis will go down bc of being outnumbered by inferior males. Dam shame. But one could feel safe betting that the lion in his demise there was likely a protagonist of the same scenario on others in the past. Its just a big circle of lion life.
His time has come. Remember he was once a young lion who dethroned another old lion, alone or in coalition. It’s his time as what goes around, comes around. Yet, what a warrior he is!

He actually survived this and ruled like another 8-9 years I’m pretty sure he was just at the end of his time as king which is only a span anywhere from 2-3 years years which is still a long time for them and crazy Impressive. That’s King Scar he killed over 130 male lions and 400 hyenas and even exiled crocodiles from his lands on some Disney shit lol. He’s actual awesome

@@r_l966 well the the young blondie colored ones don’t quite know there names by they who ever there are they was taught well how to defend their territory which I may Kruger national park, now I this seen these two older males were 11yrs old and make no mistake about it they were strong for years so they thought wat the hell let’s go and extent our territory but that’s wen the mistake happened they split off to soon now the one that got about was 400Ibs old king who new how to fight and defend but that’s y earlier on I said the two young blondie’s weee taught well because if any lion fan saw this fight that older king still has strength power and stamina and got up and sliung one of the youngsters off but they new how and wen to back off to risk injury because that old boy could fight now wen his brother finally show up like super lion he came looking for them but if he just stop and looked at how his brother was injured he should have known who ever did this either well in his prime or 2/3v1 but wen he saw two youngest instead of running and staying close to brother which if he’s done that I think his brother would have survived because his bro still had some fight left in him enough so it’s 2v2 instead 2v1 90% of the time 2v1 or more versus 1 he won’t stand chance now I’ve seen 1 lion give three lions trouble and that was wen ginger got caught but 3 fought mejelin’s and dark cam and then hairy belly came and they both retreated so it’s happened but only a few times and I means a few times wen 1v2 fight his way out or fight enough to run or the others feel his power and just let it be so hope I explain it the best I’ve could also u can look this up on guides or rangers page
It's easy to see how the elderly lion couldn't fight after his spine was hurt, his jaw is obviously broken and/or dislocated and he's in a lot of pain

He wanted to go out as all warriors do.. in battle . I dont have to see the lion close up to see he has many scars, each scar worn with pride by this old king. This is two against two lions fight. Lucky nomadic males lions win because they are not separated in this situation but for territory lions lost because they separate their brother in this situation, they should not separate their brothers when checking their territories or scent marking. But wise and good bounded two brothers can stand even against three coalitions of nomadic males.

Those two older males were much past their prime. Judging from the video the two younger males may have thought that it was only one male lion until they heard the roar of the second older male lion approaching. They doubled back because there was some weakness in his roar and they knew that once again it would be two versus one and that they could beat him just as they did the first one.
