Both of these tents are great! Thanks for the comparison. I ended up purchasing a less well known 10x10 inflatable tent on Amazon instead of one of these for one major reason, weight. My tent weighs 60 lbs. While I can lift the tent, the tent is cumbersome and awkward to lift and move. I can't imagine how heavy these tents are. Don't get me wrong, I love my inflatable tent and all the great features it has. If you like to spend a lot of time inside of your tent while you camp then these larger tents are ideal. If you are like me, and spend most of your time outside, then get something a bit smaller like a 10x10 tent. This size comfortably sleeps 3 people.
This is the best comparison. I'll have an upcoming team building camping for a week and looking for a tent where I can be as comfy as possible and fit my things. Both are great, very spacious but I'm leaning more on panda. THANK YOU SO MUCH
I gotta say, I’m here because my kid follows your other channel and stumbled on your cross post the other day. And I gotta say after watching the video on the Koala, I’m pretty sold on the tent for my family. Been searching out options of free standing tents with DAC poles but the inflatable tents have really piqued my interest and slightly skewed my options 😆
Very cool!! You will NOT regret it, that thing is AWESOME!!! If you do buy one you can get a discount by using my personal link here or using code NathanRBM when you check out on the website! Let me know if you get it! I'm so excited for you!! hot-tent.com/nathanrambaud7033259
Both of these tents look really spacious! The entrances with the material at the bottom preventing rain water from coming into the tent is great, but it's the one thing I think would make it difficult for a wheelchair user to get inside possibly, but being able to get into the tent and have an actual blow up bed inside might be easier than getting on and off the ground for some wheelchair users. Kind of a niche market though.
So this immediately makes me think of the Coody, because when you remove that front panel, there are little clips on each side on the bottom that allow that little lip to fold down flat, which would make rolling a wheelchair in very easy :) if you watch the unboxing video, you'll see what I mean
Yeah I noticed they pulled it but I think it's because it incorrectly stated that you could connect the Octopus to it as well as the Koala. Not sure why they didn't repost it but I'll get the inside street knowledge!!
@@RTSoutdoor I actually wondered if that mistake could have been the reason why they had removed it. I had asked in that post if they planned on getting the rug kits I have seen in videos. Hopefully those will be coming soon as well.
Do a search on TH-cam for RBM Hub tent. There's a video posted 6 months ago that shows one. The only bad thing i see is if you connect four tents to it, there's no way to get in or out because there's only one door on the tent. Maybe they'll redesign the tent with a second door or only connect three tents at a time.
@@coz6908 Yeah they have been available in other countries for a few months now already. You can actually use them with the Koalas and the Pandas, so I figure if you used at least one Panda you'd have a door since the Panda opens at both ends.
so for the stove, you can get a rain cap for the pipe, from amazon for like $8, that's basically like a small metal umbrella, to help keep rain from going in the pipe, but the top of the pipe is closed anyway, it vents out the sides around the perimeter. The tents are waterproof, but they are canvas so in heavy rain you want to use the rainfly.
There's a Manufacturer called Erommy that makes a tent very simular to the Koala 7 is it the same just rebranded. Or just a cheaper tent that is made of thinner material.
Hi, I have seen this as well as a few others, and I eventually will do comparisons of these as I am curious also, but in looking at them online, they do appear to be similar but not the same, and the material used in the cheaper ones is not the same either. The RBM and Coody tents are canvas, while the others are either a cotton canvas, oxford cloth, or a mix. Oxford cloth is decent but it's very breathable and water absorbant in my experience. I've had alot of tents in my life and so far the tents from RBM Outdoors are the very highest quality I've experienced. ... and just so you know, this is said in complete honesty. I only reached out to RBM to become a brand ambassador AFTER I purchased the coody koala 7 at full price and saw just how incredibly amazing it was. I expect it will be very tough to find a tent that meets the quality of these.
Which one do you like best? See more here! hot-tent.com/nathanrambaud7033259
Panda I like better but still needs improvements.

Leaning towards the RBM Panda, but the COODY is perfect for a Family. Both are awesome. GREAT JOB🤟
We have the koala looking forward to it and thanks for the update about the hub

Awesome video as always Nate
Nice comparison review, Nate. Both tents are perfect!
Completely agree!

I like the tan one is on the left with the 2 room's
I like coody koala
I seen a post on Facebook a few days ago regarding the hub tent coming soon but the post seems to have disappeared.

You mentioned using a rain cover when it rains. Does that mean that neither tent is water proof? How does that affect using the stove if it rains?

What is the weight of the tents pls
Hi, you can actually find that information on the website thanks hot-tent.com/nathanrambaud7033259
Are they both canvas tents
Yes
Where can we buy this in Europe?
Honestly I'm not sure, you may try Amazon?
@RTSoutdoor i did try... but i just get some Chinese Labels.
If you did connect four Koala tents to the hub tent, there would be no way to get in.
right, one would have to be a Panda
They're heavy. 🥴
