Finally a review with some useful info on the suspension changes! Thank you for that. I'm absorbing all I can while waiting for delivery of my BRZ tS and can't wait to get my hands on it. Sick to death of hearing about lack of turbo from people who weren't going to buy this car anyway. And the price point is not terrible! WRX STI costs $6k more than the top trim WRX, so cost of this factory brake and suspension upgrade is just fine by me. Plus that blue interior, whoooweee. I'm excited!
but OM provided some wrong info here... the (front) shocks are not mr or "computerized". the shock does not car about what speed you are driving, it's going to respond to the impact based on the jounce or impact rate. it does not care if you are doing 25kmh or 100kmh...
and look at all those wheels that fit in the back! Love my 2022 BRZ Limited - if I were buying a 2024 I'd spring for the tS, $2500 is cheap for full Brembo kit - I wonder if you felt this edition has less understeer? Any difference in steering feel? Thank you for the review!
Hey that isn't what low speed valving and high speed valving means in terms of shocks. I can see how this would be confused, but it's the speed that the shock is compressed. It's essentially like a blow off valve that allows the shock to get out of the way when it comes to curb strikes. This allows the low speed valving to be stiffer without negatively affecting the ride/stability of the vehicle.
Not a terrible price bump, but I’m all about the base model and then just get some dampers that fit my need (likely an autocross/track type fitment). Brakes can similarly be changed and then can go to a 2 piece rotor to drop weight further.
they're not going to give this a turbo because that would completely destroy Supra sales, it makes no business sense. Also, this car doesn't really need it and it would definitely hurt the character of the car and destroy that lovely instance throttle response you get.
If you are doing track sessions, you really want to upgrade both the pads and brake fluid. I suspect the better bite on the brakes is from having 4-piston calipers in the front.
So if the auto tranny is from the is250 does that mean that people might be able to swap the lexus engine to the brz/gr86? That would be a way more reliable engine than the boxer.
Transmission* but... probably not. The dimensions and overall shape of the boxer four vs a small V6 (or even an inline four) are so different, and the hood line of the BRZ is pretty low as it is.
Thank you, I'm loving the queer channels. I just bought a 2024 BRZ after owning a few Porsche Spyders both 981 & 718 versions and this car is very much like a Porsche for a fraction of the price. Not a Porsche but Like a Porsche.
the high and low speed valving on the shocks refer to the speed of the shock piston, not the speed of the car. SMH. You should notice a difference in body roll and reactions to sharp bumps.
@@nicholasbrown1115 you cant turn the cameras off, they run 24/7, transmitting everything you see to a server you have zero access to, its also weight at the worst possible place to put it on these cars. Also, the steering is overboosted due to the 2nd servo for the eyesight system.
love my 24 ts. it reminds me of some of the older nissan z's - just pure driving enjoyment.

Right?! Congrats
I own a 2023. It always brings smiles whenever driving it. You’ll enjoy it as well. Congrats…

The brakes alone make it worth it. PS The TS only comes in manual ❤❤❤😊😊😊

Yeah, my bad on the explanation. Thanks for the clarity! Hate to fumble it but sometimes it happens...

The rears aren’t hitachi. Only the fronts. The rears are the same as the base BRZ just tuned slightly differently.

1,000% agreed with you! The people clamoring for boost need to enjoy what this car is, because what it isn't makes it special.

When you brought up Hitachi, I think you forgot to mention something else they make ;)
I'm a fan! Hard to hear you over the engine. Voice over?
It's just that loud inside - that was with a lapel mic where it always is on my collar!

Glad you found us and congrats on the BRZ!! They are such fun cars.
What's with the rainbow in the thumbnail?
no, and the subaru eye sight ruins the experience...too intrusive for a manual sportscar
Larger rotors...

id pay 2600 dollars to be able to buy a 24 6mt without eyesight. good thing i bought my 11/23 production 23 BRZ.
Just turn it off, it’s not hard to do.

@@Cichlid_Visuals put a piece of tape over the camera and it disables it. This will not help with the weight though.
@@Cichlid_Visuals Is that true about the overboosted steering?!
Yes absolutely. The steering feels much lighter and more numb, especially on center.
