if your mic is cutting out after some time after turning the console on, turn the controller (NOT the console) off and back on and it should stay working as long as the console stays on
all 3 of my headsets work on other devices but i cant get them working on the PS5 even just the "Adjust Mic Level" ... i tried a usb and controller connected mic and both don't pick up anything

ibrarali3974 Bro, Check if your Headset has 2 headphone jacks one for Mic and headphone, in that case you need to insert both jacks, otherwise Mic won’t work.☺️

To be clear you heard people from main speaker, but the problem is mic, mine brand new never worked mics. So main mic is okay, but don’t know why mic not is working.

If you don’t feel like watching the video most of the time people are probably stuck on going to voice chat, and having an open mic instead of being on, pushed to talk or mute, have it on open mic

judoboy5562 Bro, First Check if there is a Physical Mute option in the Headset, if so make sure its turned off. Also if there 2 heaphone Jacks with your Headset, you need to insert both into PS5.☺️
Yeah so I read through a bunch of this nonsense... My mic was not working.... Here is the fix on the back of the controller it says Sony and has a r with a circle around it right behind that is a little hole push a toothpick or a clothespin down into it and press the reset button this will fix your mic immediately!!!!! Happy gaming!!!!
