Thanks for this, i thought my a40 cord was the issue so i ended up getting a new one and then found it was the controller port itself. I used a small corner of paper towel to fix the jack in place, there was a comment here that said to tap on the back of the controller while it’s upside down to tap the jack back in place. Both seemed to help!
If you just get a little piece of paper or even better a piece of a business card, just cut a little piece and put it underneath the actual jack in between the white plastic. Holds it perfectly in place and I have no more audio cut out.

So my issue is that the bottom of the input has a giant crack going down the center because i sat on the controller by accident while my headset was plugged in so my headset isnt able to fully function because of that crack
Sorry for the late reply. If the solution in the video does not work I would make sure that your headphone jack is clean before trying again. Unfortunately this video is the only solution I can think of aside from taking the controller apart. Separately, if your headphones are connected with a two-way AUX cord, ensure that the ends are being used correctly. Typically one side connects to the headset better, and the other side fits better into the audio input.
I swear its always the 100 less subs channels who fix anything and the channels with alot of subs dont know what they are talking about thabk yoy so much
Bro SOMEONE please help me. My PS5 controller is in terrible condition. So when I plug in my headphones to the controller all of a sudden my audio sounds so weird. The music and game audio has certain parts making noise and other parts of the audio are quiet. An example of this is when I listen to music and the beat and background of the music I can hear but the actual lyrics are quiet. When I press the PS home button it sounds different and EXTREMELY MUFFLED. Please reply if you know a solution to this.
Push it all the way in or try to get a new controller. If that's not an option, get a USB adapter for your jack so you can use a USB port on the console.

@@Caleb.FL31 so basically to help you. Your controller is broken but it's not your fault. I went to the store I bought it from and they accepted my Warranty . The micro USB port got loose and that's why it does this.
Practical and economical. I agree that doing this instead of buying a new controller. I have purchased several now. Had PS5 since around lauch. The audio jack happened on two controllers of mine. Joystick drift on another two. Trigger spring break on another. I now have 3 spare controllers which have all been cannibalized to feed their parts to a controller, which as of now, has undergone 3 or 4 repairs. I can practically take them apart in my sleep. I had a trigger spring snap less than 3 weeks into a new controller.. Oh, and I've also had to replace the HDMI port on the motherboard and solder PCB traces due to lifted pads on the socket. There really needs to be a purely mechanical device taking off the physical stress - HDMI 2.1 cables are typically thicker and create more strain from curvature of cable alone). Anyways, I digress.... Only thing I ever had to do in several years with a PS4 was dust it out. And one stick drift issue. Hope these are addressed in future hardware revisions.

@@Kyoti Actually it was an inside problem so if you have the warranty go and replace it you can't do anything about it expectedly open it and if you open it you lose the warranty so my opinion is to go and replace it with the warranty of yours

twist your headset cord until you can tune it to where you can hear out of both sides that's what worked for me
