While I'm totally in love with the track-swaps and style swaps on a lot of songs because they make for interesting variations and nice things to listen to, I must ask if you've ever considered doing something completely different? Like, taking a track and rather than try to change the instrumentation and style to match another game, just doing something totally off the wall like making a jazz remix of it with instrumentation of your own choice... I guess what I'm asking: Have you ever considered doing a full, ground-up, remix of your own design?
I have a Flamenco Remix of Storm Owl from X4, I think that's what you are talking about :D I know what you mean, but at the moment I don't have the best equipment for such projects :(
That's understandable enough. I know equipment is a big issue when trying to make original music, even if you're going for only synthesized music. (God help them if an artist wants to make HQ live recordings of many instruments) I'd really be interested in that Flamenco mix, is that on your page and I missed it?
